This was my first professional massage, so I wasn't entirely sure what to expect. From the moment I walked in, Marta was warm and welcoming. Before we began, she took the time to talk through the issues I was having and explained how the muscles connect and interact so I could better understand what was going on. (note that this did not take time away from the actual massage) She explained everything along the way and made sure that I was comfortable. I assumed I'd need an intense deep‑tissue massage that would leave me sore before feeling better. Totally wrong! Marta explained that effective work doesn't have to be rough, and despite my skepticism, she was absolutely right. By the next day I felt about 50% better, and by day three I was almost completely back to normal. Mind blown! After the massage, she gave me helpful preventative tips, stretching exercises, and even sent me home with a tennis ball, showing me how to use it against a wall to relieve tension.
