I worked for this location. All of the therapists and front desk people are nice and easy to work with. I was hired as a part-time massage therapist. I worked in the evenings and on the weekends because I have a full-time job during the day. There was an all-employee meeting scheduled, during the middle of the week and during the day when I am normally at my full-time job. I notified the GM, well in advance, I would not be able to attend. The day after the meeting, I was fired. I was shocked. When I notified the GM I would not be able to attend, I never received a call, email, or a text. When I got the call my services were no longer needed I didn't argue with the GM and there was no explanation. I know this is a work-at-will state and the employer or the employee has the right to terminate the agreement at anytime, but the way it was done was cold-hearted. I was there for about a month, there were no complaints from customers, and I was on time and worked every day I was scheduled. I don't get it. I guess having a full-time job and trying to work for the owners of this Massage Envy does not mix well. read more

Sarah Kiernan is an excellent therapist. I have been a member of Massage Envy for years and have to say that the massage I just received from Sarah is by far the best yet. She was able to accomplish more on an hour massage than most therapist do in 2 hours. She listened to my needs, didn't waste time coming back in the room and gave me a massage that actually helped get the knots out but at the same time didn't make me want to "tap out"! Where to begin?! I have been to a few massage places but this was my first time at massage envy. I am thoroughly impressed. I walked in and was immediately greeted by warm and friendly staff at the front desk. I was running a few minutes behind (got there five minutes before my massage instead of ten to fill out paperwork) but quickly filled out my paperwork and followed my therapist to the room. Holy heck that was the best massage I have ever had in my life. If you go there ask for Steve, I'm serious he was great. I've had massages ruined by other therapists who talk too much or don't pay attention to painful areas. Steve made sure everything was relaxing and he consistently checked in with me to make sure I was doing okay. I don't know about the rest of you, but I am in college and money can be tight. Very rarely do I get the chance to splurge some on something like a massage. I am so glad I decided to go here on my day off and spend my extra cash, it was well worth it. I will be back! read more

I've had a handful of massages at various places. This was my first time at this massage envy. My therapist was Shannon. Now normally I don't remember names but wow, this was one phenomenal massage. Hubby and I had both taken advantage of their promotions back on Mother's Day and Father's Day so we decided to go ahead and book our appointments and get a little pampering. Both of us had facials from Sierra and she was wonderful. I was so relaxed after word and even might have fallen to sleep a little during it! And hubby had never had a facial before and really enjoyed it and said he would definitely do it again. For my massage I had Camille. Let me tell you when you ask for a deep massage that is exactly what you get! She worked my muscles and trigger points really hard and I loved every minute of it! Next time I know to switch and have my facial done after my massage. Lol! I do agree with other reviewer's about the hard selling afterwards. It was a little frustrating being asked multiple times in multiple ways whether or not we wanted to sign up for the monthly membership. In addition The person who was checking us out didn't know her math very well so it took quite a long time to check out. I really wish that we could have paid and had all of that completed so when we were done we could simply leave. But all in all it was a good experience and we will probably be back. read more

I have been going to Park 'west location for 9 months. they have changed therapists on me three times....so I canceled my membership. Plenty of therapist out there that won't just quit on you. PLUS "Jimmy" the therapist that worked on me last friday the 7th of Sept HURT ME!! My chest was hurting so bad for two days, thought he had snapped a rib. When I complanned, I got no compensation just so sorry!! They offered another massage for free, but I don't think I will go back and get abused. I went to Massage Envy for the first time for a 1 hour massage and a 1 hour facial. You can't beat the price for a few hours of pampering, away from the chaos that is a house with a 3 year-old and a 1 year-old. My massage was first and Keri Lynn was wonderful and I was perfectly relaxed and ready for my facial. The facial is the real reason I felt compelled to write this review. I have had many facials in my life and I was never a fan since I haven't felt like they've ever helped my skin in any way. My therapist, Melissa, really took the time to discuss my skin issues (dry and dry and very very dry) and suggested the vitamin C facial. She was wonderful and the relaxation from my massage continued for another hour. Afterward, my skin was GLOWING! And now today, one day later, my skin is STILL glowing. I am completely blown away. I didn't buy the membership but now I think I'm going to have to and make these facials a part of my regular routine. BLOWN AWAY. Going back to get some of the products she used on me. Been going to the Park West location for years. Everyone Ive gotten has been great. I spoiled myself with a 2 hour massage after usually going in for 1 hr and now thats all I get. Anything less isnt long enough. I usually go to Linda and shes really good but have also tried a few others and havent been disappointed. They do have quite a bit of staff turnover - so it's dissapointing when you find someone you like and then they aren't there the next time. I made an appt for a prenatal massage. The staff was very nice and welcoming however the overall experience was terrible. The massage therapist pressed so hard on my neck that it was sore for 3 days. I could hear a door next door opening and closing through the whole hour. There was no oil or scent on the pillow which was scratchy. And the music was loud. I will bot go back to any massage envy. I would rather pay more at a reputable spa. read more

I had never been to this location before. I scheduled my husband and I what I thought was going to be a 90 minute couples massage in the same room. That's what the receptionist told me at least. We arrived Saturday excited for our Valentine's Night out. They call my husband back but not me. I sit and think, why wouldn't they take me too at the same time if we have a couples massage. 10 minutes pass as the relaxation room empties of those waiting for their massages. I go to the front desk and ask why I wasn't taken back with my husband. "We don't have couples massages." Excuse me, that's not what I booked. She offered to cancel our apts as my husband was probably started on his massage. I am not going to ruin his massage and storm in their and end it, and I'm not gonna expect a massage and wait for 90 mins and not get one. My massage therapist finally came to get me as I am in tears. He tried to make it up to me by being very kind. It was disappointing to pay$200 for something I didn't get as a hard working teacher. I would not go back to this location. They offered free $12 upgrades next time. Woo hoo, not worth it. I emailed management 5 days ago. No response. read more

I have been a member of Massage Envy Spa Peoria Park West for almost a year. I have always enjoyed my experience there with all of the therapists and receptionists. Everyone is always helpful if I need to change my appointment and very friendly when calling to remind me of upcoming appointments. I have had a few different therapists during my membership time and all of them have always been considerate of my needs and always worked to ensure that I felt better when I left the center. I really love the Membership Nights on every third Monday when I can go in and get free char massages, foot scrubs and facials, along with healthy snacks! read more

I have seen Lorraine at the park west location twice now and both times she was amazing! My massages were thorough and exactly what I was looking for. Lorraine took the time to figure out my problem areas and then focused on the best ways to benefit my body. She is by far the best massage therapist I have seen at any of the massage envy locations. The front desk staff were also very professional and welcoming. They made my visit very quick and timely, without sacrificing good customer service. When I first started going here over a year ago, everything was ok. My first massage was so awesome, Mike did an amazing job and knew how to listen to what I was telling him. After that, things went down hill. Mike left Massage Envy and they wouldn't tell me where he went because they want me to stay with them. After bouncing around to MANY different therapists, who all sucked, I decided I would just get facials instead since they can't seem to hire and keep any decent massage therapists. My facials were ok for the most part. The lady kept burping up her lunch she finished right before I came in. At least her breath didn't stink, but seriously! Then shortly after that, I became pregnant so I wanted to get more massages. They only have a few therapists who are certified in prenatal massages, so the first one was a man who apparently thought I would break in half if he handled me too roughly so I wouldn't even call that a massage. The only other lady in that does it was a larger woman who was lazy and sat in a rolling chair the entire time and rammed her elbows all over my body. I finally got tired of the horrible massages that I was recieving, so I quit going for a while. Towards the end of my pregnancy, I decided to go to a different location in hopes of finding someone who could do a better job. I ended up in the North Peoria location off of Happy Valley and Lake Pleasant Pkwy. I saw Carrie for a prenatal and she was AMAZING! She gave the best prenatal massage ever. I even ended up going into labor that night, which was awesome because I was due any day and she helped me along. Since I had my baby, I hadn't been able to come back since I am too busy with work and the baby. That is when I started getting hounded by their account manager Trudy about my credit card expiring and them not being able to run my card for my dues. I have 7 sessions that I PREPAID for right now that they refuse to let me use unless I pay them 2 months of wellness dues, then I can cancel and I have 30 days to use 9 sessions. That is the biggest SCAM I have ever heard. I PREPAID for services that they are unwilling to let me redeem since I decided I want to cancel since I don't have a lot of time to go in anymore. And they refuse to give me a refund. I will never go back here ever again. They are not worth the money since they have horrible therapists. DO NOT SIGN UP WITH THEM. Try Massage Haven or anywhere but here. read more
