Love the massage therapist themselves, but have had several issues with their front desk personnel. Just had my most recent appointment cancelled because they were going to give it to someone else. They offered to send me to another location instead of sending the other client there. I asked for an explanation on how their appointment took priority and they just continued repeating they were sorry but it would be cancelled. Requested to speak to a manager and they said one would not be available until the weekend but they would be canceling me in the meantime so they could book the other client in my time slot. Poor customer service and horrible experience. So much for paying their membership for years. read more

They took me out of the massage 15 minutes early to go over their promotional package. When I asked to just simply pay they would not let me until they gave their whole speech. Even asked me to wait so the other receptionist could do it. When I said no they went even further and continued to ask why I'm declining. I booked a deep tissue massage. Ive gotten many many massages in my life and this would be considered light/medium at best with the majority of the massage being topical petting. read more

Avoid their membership at ALL COSTS. The massages are consistently significantly less than an hour. Youre looking at 45 minutes or less. They lock you into a year long contract that's impossible to get out of no matter the circumstances. They do not care about you, only getting their money. It's a complete waste of money with very little benefits. You can only transfer one of your massages to a person once every 6 months while tied into a year long contract. They are usually booked well in advance and it causes you to have to drive 30 minutes in any direction to find an open location. Do not recommend and will not be returning. For a chain massage establishment, very nice. This Bellevue location has more room than it appears from the outside. As you enter, there is a spacious waiting area to fill out paper work (new clients). Then you are escorted into a tranquility room with infused water, mints, dim lighting, and soft music. Your therapist picks you up from there and your start you session. There are many hallways and I would guess 15 massage rooms. Tabitha was professional and asked frequently if temperatures and pressures were ok. She was willing to tailor the session to target only the areas bothering me. A 50 min introductory massage there is discounted, $49.99 instead of $79.99. There is also a membership club that you can join for $59.99 a month and it counts toward a monthly massage and some other perks. I was judged over the phone for only wanting a 30 minute massage. I let it go because I was just trying to use my gift card that I received to see if this was somewhere I'd want to come again. I was judged again, during my session. My therapist shared that my massage would only be 20 minutes because they were running behind (not my fault?) and this is apparently something that massage envy does regularly so they can do back to back massages, ultimately rushing the clients. What's the point of 30 minute massages or even 60 if the client isn't getting a massage for the full time? I will not be returning, if that wasn't clear already. read more

They are always welcoming and helpful when you walk in. Their relaxing room is tranquil and really gets you ready for your massage. The rooms are the same, make sure to get your massage table heat turned on at the start of your massage! It really helps add to the relaxation!! This is my go to massage place and I drive out of my way to get here. I will continue coming month after month if things remain the way they are (or better)! read more

Gift certificate from Christmas for Massage Envy. This was my 2nd visit to this location. Nice atmosphere. Greeted warmly upon entrance to the facility. Moved to the "Tranquility Room" prior to the massage. Relaxing room with soothing music and strawberry/cucumber water to enjoy along with the latest Massage Envy magazine. My therapist was Maria. We chatted about what areas needed the most work and where I might be having problems. We then transitioned to the massage room. What a pleasant surprise - the massage table was heated - what a delight with the cold weather. Maria then proceeded with an hour long full body massage which was a combination of relaxation and deep tissue. Maria is outstanding with great hands. She has good strength and is able to maximize the deep tissue portion of the massage. Very pleased. Will definitely be going back. read more

My wife and I have been members of Massage Envy for a total of a year and a half. My wife started the membership then I followed. Initially the service was great but after a couple months we couldn't wait to get out of our contracts. My wife had a great masseur who left and then had another one leave to start her own massage therapy. My masseur was also great with the exception that he wasn't available every weekend. What I thought was really unfair was if I cancel/reschedule less than 24hrs of my appointment I would be charged 50% of the service. On the other hand if the masseur cancels/reschedules you get nothing but a phone call. Penalties should go both ways meaning they should have rewarded me 50% of the service when the masseur canceled/rescheduled. When you join Massage Envy they will bombard you with information about what you can and can't do so please pay attention because that's the only thing the managers (Caitlin) will reference back to you. Once my wife reached the one year mark she was eligible to cancel her membership. Short story, they lost the paperwork but worked it out after discussions. Since I had hours unused I decided to "freeze" (a fee is involved) the account so I can use the hours appropriately. I realized with my busy schedule and the fact that I am paying monthly for the hours that I have already paid for and the lack of availability by the masseur, that I would cut ties with this company. Please look at other massage therapy places before signing that contract. Also, I am sure other locations are more accommodating and customer service oriented. read more

My wife and I have been members for several years now. We get a monthly 90 minute couples massage and in the last four months have now had our monthly appointment cancelled the same day two separate times. We understand things happen but when we are consistently getting a new therapist assigned because the one we already had scheduled the appointment with are out sick, left the facility, hurt at work and can't perform today or had an emergency (all these are we have been told over the phone in the last six months) definitely makes you not feel appreciated or wanted as a customer. Offering me a free enhancement the next time I come after canceling the Appointment four hours before the scheduled time is insulting. It is a beautiful facility and until recently we enjoyed our monthly Appointment. We now wonder each month, will it be with the therapist we scheduled it with, will it be with someone else, or will the appointment be cancelled? Anyone have a recommendation on where you can get a nice 90 minute couple's massage in the Bellevue or Papillion area? read more

Shannon is always super sweet. I didn't give her a budget on the products I wish to use, so some of them are a little expensive, but so far worth it. The Bellevue location has such great customer service! I have been to another location and didn't quite feel as welcomed. They definitely went above and beyond my expectations. I love that they offer infused water for guests. And their waiting area was nice and cozy. They also take you back to dim lit room to wait on your massage therapist. I just had a fantastic experience! My massage was FANTASTIC! Kelsey G. Did such an amazing job. She really focused where I asked her to but also still gave me the full massage. This is my second time at massage envy. Both times I have left disappointed. My masseuse Kevin was less than stellar. I went in for an hour massage, I told Kevin I'd like him to spend a little more time on my problem areas (my shoulders and feet), but would still like a full body massage. Kevin spent the majority of the time on my back, about 3 minutes on my shoulders, 5 minutes combined on my feet, and like a minute everywhere else. His massage was not relaxing, I stayed tense the whole time. He had very quick hands and felt as if he was rushing through it. He didn't put pressure in the right places, and he shook me a lot; which I found weird and did not feel good in the slightest. As for my feet - Kevin never really massaged them. He tapped on them with his finger, and karate chopped them. That was it. I mean, what the heck was that? I have plantar fasciitis and could have really used a good foot rub - I was actually looking forward to it the most. So after one of the worst massages of my life, I come out of the room to a pushy desk associate who is trying to talk me into becoming a member of Massage Envy. He said, "Kevin would like to get you started on a monthly massage plan. He says you've got a lot of tension in your shoulders and your feet." Haha! What?! Then why did Kevin spend no time at all on them?!?! What a joke. So after I refuse the membership. The associate pushes two more times. I hate when businesses do this. One "no" should be enough. It seems like desperation when they do this. Overall, it was not a great experience at all. I think you would have better luck going somewhere else. read more

I only selected 1 star because I was required to, but I really would give this place ZERO stars. I scheduled an appointment for a facial, followed by a massage (scheduled weeks out in advance). For that visit, I requested a female for my facial and massage and was told I was all set... Well, I received a call about 1 week later saying that the gal who scheduled me was new and she messed up, so I was going to have to be rescheduled. They were able to find me another day, but with about a 1 hour wait in between the time when the facial would get done and the massage would be started. I again clarified that I wanted a female and would be more comfortable with this. I was told that they got me in with a female with the new appointment. I again waited weeks for this appointment... fast forward to today- the day before my appointments and I received a call and voicemail stating that my appointments were with **male name** tomorrow. I called them back right away and explained the situation to the gal- that I had already been told 2 different times that I would have a female doing my facial/massage and already had to move my appointment due to their error. The gal on the phone just scoffed and said "Well why aren't you comfortable with a male?" Ummmm... I'm pretty sure that's none of her business and SHOULD NOT have been her response. I told her "That is irrelevant and you guys have messed up scheduling my appointment multiple times now." She said, well we can move you again, but it's going to be a few weeks because all of the females are booked for a while. I knew that, which is why I scheduled weeks in advance before!! The gal could literally care less about their screw ups and was so condescending. I wouldn't touch this place with a 10 foot pole. They literally have ZERO sense of good customer service. read more
