Upon my arrival it's in a shopping center so parking was free & easily accessible. When I walked in I was greeted by the receptionist who checked me in & went over my intake form with me , she was very pleasant. My therapist Livan came out & I was again nervous because I usually request a woman but I decided to go with whoever was available since my appointment was last minute. The Southern blvd Wellington location was very clean and staff is friendly and I found parking with no problem since its in a big shopping center. This was my first time here I was given a coupon to try it out it was well worth it. Steven was my massage therapist and he hit every nerve perfectly I instructed him where I was having issues and where I wanted to relax his technique was perfect in every step of the way the one hour massage was a wonderful experience. Makayla at the front desk was warm and welcoming and educated me on what was about to happen what to look for what to ask for. I highly recommend this location they are all professional, and know exactly what they were doing, I will definitely come back, please go enjoy a massage it is well worth it! I have had a family emergency happening tge day of my appointment. I called in, left a message that I needed to reschedule. Nobody got back to me until the ti of appointment. I could not answer, but called back next morning. Now the manager at Jupiter location said nothing can be done and that I was charged for a session anyway. This is ridiculous, there has to be some flexibility, especially when it comes to medical emergency. Very disappointing and unkind. But when I scheduled for my wife there were so many mistakes and lots of confusion. I booked, and showed up, then they said I didn't book. Then we rebooked and showed up and they said the massage therapist was out. Then we got a text the following week and we never even booked. Hahaha It's a comedy show. Only I wasn't really laughing. I purchased a membership, In which I was basically conned into. In my understanding I would be able to use my FULLY PAID massages however I wanted, family friend etc. if I moved to say another state I would be able to redeem my massages. This store refused to unlock my massages for another message envy store here in LA. After countless phone calls and WEEKS of waiting for a return call from corporate or Human Resources, they STILL never came to a conclusion and ultimately terminated my $400 worth of FULLY PAID massages with no refund or anything. TAKE YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE AND DON'T BE FOOLED BY THEIR SCAM MEMBERSHIPS. THIS PLACE IS A COMPLETE JOKE AND WILL NEVER SUCCEED WORKING THIS WAY. It depends on who you get. I'm sure there are some lovely therapists there but they always put me with ones that are either lazy or don't know what their doing. Beware of Kelly! The worst massage you'll ever get unless you have dry skin and just want someone applying oil on you. First time I had her she was significantly late which caused me to cancel other plans I had that day. The massage was horrible, worst I ever had. She doesn't even massage the muscles, she just applies oil to the skin and every-now and then presses her thumb in your trap to do a pressure point, like shes bored and thinks that's something to do to make the time go by. There is no actual massaging. Second time they gave me her (because there is no way I'd request this woman) I was again shocked with how bad it was and asked to stop the massage. There are some great spas in Palm Beach County, that aren't corporate and where employees aren't lazy and incompetent. Go check them out instead. read more

The worst massage I've ever had. I was asked if there were certain areas I would like the therapist to focus on. I said back neck and shoulders. Well the last 10 minutes of the massage she spent a half-hearted effort on those areas. The rest of the time was spent elsewhere. The massage started late and ended early. I truly did not get my scheduled time or even close to the 60 minutes I had booked. Next, without being told there would be an additional charge I was sold some kind of oil that she would use during the massage. If I was told there was an upcharge I would have declined whatever this oil was because it did absolutely nothing to enhance the service. Most importantly, the massage itself was terrible. It was not thorough, it was not relaxing or even a pleasant experience to say the least. I was completely disappointed by the entire process. The massage therapist was wonderful. However, the front desk staff is awful. I had called 2 weeks prior to ask about a gift card for $60 I had received and how much a massage would be. I was told that since I was a non-member, the rate was $79.95, and with my gift card, I would have to pay an addition $20. I booked my massage today, which was with Theresa, and was good. However, when I went to check out they informed me that the non-member rate was now $95.00! I disputed this and said, I was never informed of this. They couldn't care this. They couldn't get the manager on the phone, who had left for the day. They said either I sign up for a membership of $60/month or a pay the $95.00 non-member rate. I refused and told them I would not be paying this inflated price, since I was never informed of the price increase when I checked in. They then tried to guilt trip me saying that if I didn't pay the $95, the therapist wouldn't get paid, since she is on commission. Mind you, I did not refuse to pay. I agreed to pay the price I was quoted over the phone by their staff. They refused to listen to reason. The front desk staff then proceeded to call 911 on me. Really? When the front desk girl was on the phone with the police, I asked to speak to the dispatcher and told them, this is not a life and death situation, you really don't need to send over a police car. After I got off the phone with the police, the manager called in. I explained to her what happened and she agreed that they would honor the gift card, and I would not have to pay the $95 rate. Needless to say, I did not walk out feeling relaxed. Front desk staff desperately needs customer service training, and should be instructed not to call out police to resolve customer service issues. read more

Just realized Massage Envy in Wellington has been charging my credit card each month for services they did not provide. My membership ended in January 2016 and they have been charging my account for the past 7 months. I walked in to the spa and was referred to Tiffany, the manager. They pulled my contract from their files, Tiffany quickly filled out paper work, and told me her regional manager would phone me today regarding the reimbursement. I reminded her (Tiffany), although I'm sure she wouldn't remember, that she had presented me with a renewal contract in January (2016) at my last visit and I opted to wait to renew. I made it VERY CLEAR in January 2016 that I was not renewing at that time... that I would have to think about it. I did NOT sign any paperwork authorizing a membership renewal. It should also be noted that when they pulled my contract today, they did not mention that I was enrolled in an auto renew program. I would think the whole issue of reimbursement would have been put to rest right there and then. No need to have someone else phone me. I explained to her that I hadn't received the automated calls from Massage Envy, as was provided to all current customers, since last December (2015) and questioned how their appointment and bookkeeping department didn't notice that they were charging for services they weren't providing. Obviously I wasn't a current customer. Today I asked Tiffany questions about the reimbursement process and she kept speaking over me. It's almost like she couldn't get me out of there fast enough. She didn't want other customers to hear what was going on. Surprise. Surprise. I received a call from Becca within 30 minutes of my visit to the spa (Massage Envy of Wellington). She began to rattle off how my contract was on auto renew. REALLY? Funny that wasn't mentioned to me by the manager (Tiffany) who reviewed my contract only 30 minutes prior to Becca's call. She mentioned my initials were right next to the paragraph that authorizes them to renew my contract. I NEVER INITIALED THAT PARAGRAPH, but perhaps they conveniently did within the 30 minutes of my visit and their phone call. I asked Becca how it was that I was offered a renewal contract in January if I was on an auto renew program? Why would they present me with the option to renew my membership if it was a moot point? Why had the automated calls reminding me to schedule my monthly appointment ceased in December if my membership was automatically renewed? Why hadn't anyone phoned me in 7 months to ask me why I hadn't scheduled spa services? When Becca couldn't answer these questions, she put the owner Josie on the phone. Josie told me she could offer me spa service "credits" in the form of gift certificates but would not reimburse me for services they charged for, but didn't provide. Why would I trust a company that stole from me? Why would I feel good about asking a company that behaved in an unethical manner for relaxing spa services. Josie was quick to remind me she was Italian. I struggle with meaning of that. Did she intend to scare me? Was this her way of letting me know she would not change her mind? At one point, I assume to make her point, Josie told me a story of a customer who they realized hadn't come in for many months for spa services. Josie said, "we called her and asked her why she hadn't come in and she told us she didn't care because her boyfriend was paying for the services." I had to hold myself back from laughter when I said to Josie, "Exactly. You've just made my point. Why didn't anyone phone me to ask me WHY I hadn't booked services?" Perhaps they call some customers, but not others. To add insult to injury, Josie told me I sounded stressed and needed to come in for a massage. Massage Envy owes me $419.93 for 7 months of charges for services they never provided, and never cared to determine why I hadn't returned. They never looked at my contract which clearly did not issue an auto renew option otherwise they would not have asked me to renew at the end of my contractual obligation. I was not on their monthly automated call list for the past 8 months. All signs of a customer who is no longer. They are refusing to reimburse the funds they took from my account. I will continue to post negative reviews about this location and Josie their owner until the funds that are due to me are returned. Buyer beware. Massage Envy of Wellington is interested in getting your credit card information and signing you on to a monthly subscription service. They couldn't care less about honoring when a contract ends or when a client opts NOT to renew. read more

I've read bad reviews here and there. Don't know much about the company's overall business practices but for me, it all comes down to 3 things, Woody, Anthony, Luis. These men are gifted and you cannot go wrong. Woody and Anthony in particular are freakishly strong which is so effective for my tight muscles where I carry all my stress. They all have great technique, are respectful, and listen. I have a membership and actually use it now after having one years ago and canceling from another location. Book ahead with these guys since word is out about how good they are. I've been to "spas" and for $125 minimum for an hour, I get more in aesthetic than in talent. I'd rather pay for talent with these guys. Be sure to tip well... you'll want to after a session with them! read more

It is unfortunate that the therapists are good however, the franchise is poorly managed! Even after several trips in person, via phone, fax and emails, they refuse to cancel a membership. We were instructed to fax but they did not receive any of them. Fax again, refuse to confirm receipt. Emailed on several occasions, "oh Jasmin the manager left for the day and she's the only one that has access to that email call back tomorrow." Call AGAIN, Jasmin states, "I am having trouble with that email." Asked if there is another different email, "Not now." It wasn't until contacting an attorney, the BBB and the corporate ME Franchise department that we seem to get this resolved. Still awaiting confirmation in writing!!! read more

They started up-charging for hot stone massages and won't allow you to use credits to pay for the up charge so you have to come out of pocket twice, once for the monthly members fee and again for the up charge. "Can I put you on hold" the male receptionist said for the 3rd time. "Well, sure I guess so", I hesitated. "I can't find you in our system, are you sure you came here? Are you a member? When did you come here? You will have to arrive 15min early to fill out paper work" he went on to say. "Well give me your name again, address again, city again, state again, zip, phone again, ugh can you hold..... Sorry about that. Do you want male or female. Oh no, can I have your information again? I lost it. Name. Address. City, State, Phone.....what kind of massage was it you wanted? I need a credit card number to process this. I can't hold your time slot without a credit card. So if you make your reservation and someone that is a member calls asking for your time slot, I have to give it to them. So if you don't give me a credit card you will lose your reservation. Do you want to sign up as a member?" he chirped. My credit card was still packed in the bottom of my suit case, in the trunk of my car that is now driving away from Massage Envy, the one next to the mall. Oh God, don't tell me he is still talking "...did I tell you you will have to arrive 15 min early to fill out paperwork." he efficiently pressed. I am not buying a house here, just trying to get the golf ball size knots out of my neck. Never mind. Pass. Came home to find housemate had used all the hot water, so a warm soak was out of the question. Starting to rethink that New Years resolution. A glass of chilled white wine would certainly taste good about now. I think I'll go to bed. I don't care if it's 6pm. Tomorrow is another day, another opportunity to get it right. Compared to the forced logging camps in North Korea, this is really really no big deal. However, the small child in me was disappointed. Great front-end customer service experience, but the therapist didn't deliver -- or even seem to know or care about -- what the desk-person talked with me about (never even glanced at all that paperwork they had me fill out... Why bother?). I felt like a slab of meat on an assembly line, competently stroked, but not at all cared for. It doesn't matter how pretty the lobby or perfectly chilled the lemon water, if a massage therapist can't or won't or isn't trained to or is told not to be present, feel and respond to the tissue, and connect with the spirit of the person they're touching (in other words, if the only benefit of the treatment is that it increases blood circulation), you might as well just buy an electric massage tool and do it yourself. FYI I had a similar massage experience at Hand & Stone, down the block; but here, at least, they were real -- Hand & Stone was all fake-fake nice-nice sell-sell-sell. read more

I was so hoping to have an enjoyable massage but was very disappionted. I am in the business --an Estetician, giving and receiving massage on a regular basis. My regular massage therapist cancelled for that day, and as I had my heart set on a massage, I thought I'd give Massage Envy a try. I was extremely clear about the medium to firm pressure I wanted. I asked for an experienced masseuse. What I got was Charla--not 100% sure of her name--but that's close. First of all, the room was freezing cold. And so were her hands--for the entire massage. The massage felt like a limp dish rag. She never asked how I was or if the pressure was ok. I could go on with more technical flaws, but I think I've made my disappointment clear. What a shame. The premis is beautiful and very clean. There was a heating pad on the table which kept me warm despite the cold temperature of the room. I expressed my opinion of the massage with the front desk. I went to this location to get a gift card for a friend and decided they love massages so I signed the two of us up so we could go together. I assumed the membership would start after we both had a massage but did not know it starts from when you sign the contract. My friend used their gift card at another location and was not impressed. I said let's try this location and go together. My friend was still not impressed by their massage so they did not want their membership even though I would pay for it. I tried calling to cancel my friends membership and was told I could not because it has passed the time to cancel. I was surprised even though I explained I had signed both our contracts and he never agreed to a membership. Also trying to get hold of a manager is a job in itself. They have always just left the store or in a meeting when I call. They don't call back even with numerous messages left. I was told there are several managers but they are all very busy. I wish the owner would get more involved in over seeing their business. read more
