Ok this isn't my first massage! But it was my first couples massage! Me and my Mr. are kinda conservative so when we got there we filled out our massage paperwork you had to list things like where dose it hurt etc... Then you have a seat in the lobby next to the giant wall waterfall, the massage therapists come out and take your chart and introduce themselves to you! So Max goes and stands up to hand over his clipboard to the masseuse she's a pretty girl named Karen and then out of the door comes this 6'4 super tall muscular man who took my clipboard lol I look over and my Mr. grabs the clipboard out of his hand and the ladies hand and says umm NO WAY lol and swaps clipboards so I get the girl lol this made me crack up on the inside Karen was great! She knew what she was doing and it was relaxing. Therapists come and go quickly here. Bad sign. I am canceling my membership and will lose approximately $200 of already paid massages. I don't want massages from Massage Green...they are DANGEROUS. The therapist Evan has some skill, but when he gets to your neck, he cranks on it violently as if he's a chiropractor (he is not). I now wake up consistently with neck pain and have periodic numbness in the radial nerve distribution. Christina likewise will hold your legs fixed and forcefully externally rotate your feet. That's how you cause ligament strain! Are these therapists trying to cause harm? Why 2 stars? Nice ambiance. Nice and helpful front staff. Look elsewhere for a massage. read more

This was my first massage at Massage Green on Kercheval in Grosse Pointe. It was much nicer than I expected. I thought it would be somewhat lesser quality than more expensive spas. It was a wonderful experience. The rooms are very nice. Even the bathroom was very classy. Nice relaxing atmosphere. I had the 60 minute massage. My masseuse was talented and knowledgeable. I appreciate her recommendations of where I could put ice and where I could use a heating pad. I am making another appointment in two weeks. Then I plan on coming back monthly. read more

I go to this location for the Stretch Smart weekly. I bought an 8 Stretch Smart package and I couldn't be happier. I have one session left and I will be renewing my 8 session package on my next visit. I love going into the sauna first to loosen up and relax. I had an strain in my left calf from playing pickleball and it's gone and I'm back on the court. I highly recommend Stretch Smart. My husband and I have been to multiple Massage Green Spas in the area and always felt ok after, but after leaving the location in Grosse Pointe, we will only go there! Taiwana and Shamika (hopefully I spelled those right) are AMAZING! They seriously have a gift, and we wouldn't settle for anyone else, now that they've worked on us! If Massage Green gives raises or bonuses, those ladies need to be showered with appreciation. To quote my husband after Shamika worked on him, "I seriously haven't felt this good in about a year". Worst massage I've ever experience by far‼ I went in looking for relaxation and left out in pain smh.. never

Awful awful experience. I really really really wanted to be able to support a GP business but I was so incredibly disappointed. I came in with a pinched nerve in my neck. An hour prior to my massage I decided to go in the inferred sauna hoping that would loosen me up. I sat in the sauna for 50 minutes and didn't sweat at all. Actually put a robe on because I was cold. Next thing you know 10 minutes later the masseuse comes knocking so loud on my door. He walks me to the room and asks what I want done. *I explain to him about my pinched nerve and that I ONLY want to focus on my neck. Nothing else. (I also wrote on the sheet in the lobby that I only wanted my neck to be touched) He then asks me to lay "face down" on the table, to undress and he would be back to the room in a minute. (Any other time a masseuse has told me to lay flat on my back with a pinched nerve) Ten minutes later he comes back in... I'm face down in so much pain laying on this table. What's the first thing he does? Tries lifting up my head to fix my hair, jolting my neck. Then tells me "you're going to have to take your necklace off." Beyond frustrated and in pain I get up trying to keep myself covered and take my necklace off. Now, we're about 20 minutes into this massage session and I'm getting frustrated/in pain but I'm really trying to keep calm. Then for about 20 minutes he lightly (basically pranced his fingers across my skin) rubbed my arms and lower back and legs until I got enough courage to say please can you stop and work on my neck. He starts massaging my neck and digs his nails so hard into my skin that at this point I'm just so upset I don't even know what to do but he's not relieving pain his nails are actually scratching my skin. Not joking he worked on my neck for maximum 3 minutes, and all he did was scratch me with his nails the whole three minutes. After that he played with my hair for a solid 5 minutes and then told me my time was up. I've never been so unrelaxed during a massage in my entire life. I would never ever ever recommend this place to anyone. I'm so upset because I really wanted to have a great experience but Grosse Pointe has a lot of really great spas and massage therapists. Needless to say, when they called me and asked if I wanted to get another massage session I declined. read more
