Over the last eight months, our family has been walking through one of the hardest seasons we've…read moreever faced. Our daughter has been battling serious health issues and was recently diagnosed with epilepsy. We've spent countless hours in hospitals, doctors' offices, therapy appointments, and waiting rooms. Through it all, I've learned something important: It's the little things that make the biggest difference. It's the people in our communities. The neighbors who wave. The strangers who ask how you're doing. The nurses who care for your child. The workers who quietly clean hospital rooms. The teachers, dentists, barbers, grocery store employees, church members, and friends who may never realize how much their kindness means. We all impact one another more than we know. Yesterday, after bringing my daughter home from the hospital, I was exhausted--physically, emotionally, and mentally. A little while later, my son came into my room after getting his haircut at Top Shelf Barber. Jaxon had cut his hair, and I honestly couldn't believe how great it looked. Jaxon always does an amazing job, but this one was especially good. My son looked so handsome, and more importantly, he was absolutely glowing with confidence and excitement. That moment reminded me of something I've been thinking about a lot lately: we need each other. We live in a culture where people are quick to leave bad reviews, tear others down, or talk behind someone's back. But what if we chose something different? What if we had the hard conversations when needed, showed grace, offered encouragement, and looked for opportunities to build people up instead of tearing them down? As Christians, we're called to love our neighbors as ourselves and to be a light in the world. That doesn't mean we always agree. It means we choose kindness, respect, honesty, and grace, even when it's difficult. If something isn't right, talk to people. Help them improve. But when someone does something well, tell them. Leave the review. Give the compliment. Offer the handshake. Share the smile. So this is my thank you to Top Shelf Barber and especially to Jackson. Thank you for caring about your craft. Thank you for helping a young man feel confident. Thank you for being one of those people who make a positive difference in the lives of others, whether you realize it or not. The world needs more kindness, more conversation, more grace, and more love. And sometimes, it starts with something as simple as a haircut.

Easy to set up a cut in their digital system and got seen right away. Macy attended to us and although both wanted military style cuts, we each had a different style. She did an amazing job and definitely knows her men's cuts. Smooth neck shave. She's attentive to your liking as she shifts during the cut. Would recommend her to anyone. Loved the music play in the background and the odds were it was in my taste range.

My sister in law made the appt. we visited from CA. for a wedding. I feel the stylist could've done a better job of turning us away knowing they wouldn't be able to get it done. My daughter said they used men's product towards the front of her hair. I believe it was to bring down some of the frizz. I think conditioner, and more treatment was necessary. To top it off. It was a $40 blowout at a barbershop. They don't even charge $40 at salons. Called local salons before we settled to take our chances with this place and they quoted me $25-$30. They probably do great men's cuts, good people, nice vibe. Should've told us not a good idea and they couldn't get it done.

Even worse, some of them steal tips meant for the staff, which is not only unethical but also shows a serious lack of integrity. This kind of behavior reflects a toxic environment where both clients and employees suffer. No one should tolerate being treated like that, and it's a shame when greed and bad attitude ruin what should be a place of care and service.

I battled with…read moremyself the entire time on whether or not I should leave a review or not because I didn't want to mess with someone's business but I just had to. This place is very rundown and was very empty. And I completely get why... I should have read the reviews. PLEASE do not get tricked by the good reviews. The staff did not want to talk to me and they were only speaking to one another in their language. When they spoke to me it was as if I was the random that just sat the cool kids table. The staff were not the kindest when I spoke with them on the phone and when strangers came into the salon. I personally did not feel welcome walking in, even though I scheduled an appointment. They don't have any sheet nail polish that isn't gel so I tried to get the lightest shade and it was super dried out and very clumpy. Noticing this made me feel terrible with giving them a bad review but I feel like they genuinely don't want to work or that they hate their job. It's sad to see and just made me feel so miserable the entire hour I was there. I honestly almost walked out when they did my pedicure, but I finish then I try to move on my nails and I just couldn't do it anymore. It was such an awkward experience. If you're looking for a pampering and self loving kind of day, do not come here! This is not the place to fill your most beautiful and confident self.
