I've been a long-time, loyal customer of Massage Green Spa until recently when I unexpectedly had to cancel an appointment..on the same day it was scheduled. Our home suffered major storm damage the night before my appointment and I contacted the Spa immediately the next morning. I explained my unfortunate situation and the owner Mark was totally unsympathetic or understanding. I regularly used Audris as my therapist, as she was extremely knowledgeable of my previous U.S. Armed Forces services and the physical conditions I suffer from. Previously I had NEVER canceled an appointment the same day but was hopeful the team at Massage Spa would take my patronage history into consideration. They did not. I will NEVER return to Massage Spa and I will advise everyone I know not to visit their establishment, especially if they are a military Veteran and expect to receive any professional courtesy or consideration. I've been having a rough go lately with stress and dehydration, causing my muscles to have spasms and just in general having an overall feeling of tension and tightness within my muscles. I had been coming here on and off over the past year and after a fantastic massage from tony last night, I decided to pull the trigger and finally be come a member. Let me brag on Tony for a minute. He is meticulous, skilled, kind, and applies some of the deepest pressure during a massage I have ever experienced. That is a compliment coming from someone who grew up getting deep tissue massages in the back of Chinese herbalist stores. I highly recommend him for folks who are athletes or those of you who like deep pressure. Don't be afraid to tell him to back off the pressure if it gets to intense! He has worked wonders on my body and is the primary reason I bought a membership. Thank you so much Tony, and please never leave this location because if you leave, I will too! I just love this place. I was concerned about the type of service I would get since I got a "special" deal last Christmas in 2021. Every service has been wonderful. While I'd love a massage that was just for pleasure, I've had major issues with my hip and back. I have only seen Tony. He has helped me tremendously. After many visits, I found out that there was a tumor growing in my spine. I had major back surgery and had a muscle tear during surgery. I went to months of physical therapy and nothing was helping the torn muscle. I decided to book with Tony last week and he found exactly the spot and I have had the greatest relief since my surgery!!! If you haven't been and you struggle with pain, SEE TONY!!! Setup and appointment this pst week for a 1 hour massage with the sauna extra. Spent time in sauna which was nice. Unfortunately the robes and towels were both dirty and stained. My massage was suppose to begin on the hour, but the masseuse didn't show up until 7 minutes after. Then she gave me 5 minutes to disrobe. The massage ended 6 minutes before the next house. I was shorted nearly 10 minutes out of what was supposed to be a 50 minute massage (minus prep time). The masseuse was very inexperienced providing little pressure and not what was requested. When I left I was asked for a gratuity, which I paid, although I am surprised that they come out and ask for it. Not only do they verbally ask, they have a sign posted on the counter as to why gratuity is expected based on your massage. I find this very tacky and unprofessional. I had a pleasant experience and the place was clean. I arrived way before my session. My only complaint is that I was taken to the room to change at 10AM. The massage therapist came back into the room at 10:06. He finished my session at 10:55. When I went up to pay I realized why...he had another client at 11AM. I had a 1hr massage session with Luiz and it was fantastic. He is one of the best masseuse that I have ever had. He also has a background in helping sports/athletic professionals and that is very helpful. He knows the right trigger points and takes care of you very well. Highly recommended! The front desk are amazing, except when the owner is sitting there. She either looks miserable or is complaining to a customer about her husband and her "liberal" kids, as she refers to them. Her comments are completely out of line and unprofessional. She completely changes the ambiance one expects at a spa to a scene of Mean Girls. Great therapists on staff although some will short you on time. Be mindful of that. Nothing much is done or said about that, except maybe a free $10 add on for your next visit. A-lot of things are outdated and maintained with tape! The towels in the bathroom are stained and/or have holes in them. Husband and I had a couples massage in their smaller couples room. I went to put my purse there and realized the shelf was falling off the wall. One of the saunas had a nail protruding from the bench! Don't drink the water - it smells and taste weird. Dead, large bugs laying everywhere! This place has 2 things going for it - the front staff and the therapists. But the spa experience itself lacks! Pictures do not tell the real story. read more

Occasionally I like to treat myself to a spa day, but I am frugal so I always look for deals. I found Massage Green Spa on groupon and purchased a groupon package for $138 that included a one hour sauna, one hour facial and one hour massage. When I got there I noticed a cheaper sale and could have kicked myself . Lol. After filling out the standard massage and facial paperwork I was lead to a room that had a personal sauna which was very cool. The receptionist showed me how to use everything and walked me through the process. Very professional and kind. There is a clean bathrobe and towels set out to use in the sauna and after, there is also a pitcher of ice water and a cool eucalyptus towel set aside for when you need them. This was all very nice. The next part is a tad odd though. So you are in the awesome room with a personal sauna and massage bed and then asked to pick up yourr basket of items and walk barefoot to another room. That through me. I didn't understand why the room change and then found of there are only two sauna's and they need to share, so that wasn't unreasonable or anything. However, carrying my items or at least having slippers would have been a five star experience. The massage was nice and while I have had worse, sadly I have had better; relaxing overall but pretty standard. Lastly the facial, which in all honesty was also nice but not mind blowing. While their products are very nice and refreshing and the esthetician knowledgeable, there was no hand, neck or temple massage like I have had during other facials. It is pattern of warm towel,product, repeat. In between you can hear the esthetician doing something, maybe on her phone but I honestly don't know. It couldn't have been prep because just like in the massage the prep and locating of supplies came out of your massage and facial time. So idk. Overall while this place was nice and I am planing to use them sometime again in the future, I can not give them five stars because that would be staying my experience was flawless and there was no room for improvement, which was not the case. My rating would be a 3 or 3.5 for the services but I am giving a 4 because of the price. Honestly I would not pay their standard fees if there is no deal, as they are comparable to other day spas that I have visited which were true 4 and 5's on service and not boosted by the package sale. Well. If you're reading this, you've probably been to more spas than I have, but.. Holy cow that was amazing. Very clean, polite and efficient reception, and the place is set up to be relaxing. The lighting, background music, decor, all make it warm and cozy. The only problem I can see is being so relaxed and then going out in the world! I'd never had a massage before and apparently had no idea how tense I was. Next time I may call Uber. And there will most certainly be a next time. Please DO NOT sign up for a membership with Massage Green Spa or you will regret it . I originally had a membership with Massage Green in a different state before I moved to McKinney. Once Covid hit , the Massage Green I went to closed and stopped answering phone calls and emails yet still kept on charging membership fees . It took me two months to get a call back and cancel and meanwhile they kept charging my card . They refused to refund me and said that I could use my credits once I moved to McKinney. Flash forward and now I'm in McKinney . Hoping I would receive better service in McKinney I called and made an appointment for a couples massage and let them know I had 2 massage credits that I wanted to use. They confirmed I COULD use my credits and set up the appointment . We arrived at our appointment and all seemed fine until after the massage . My husband really liked his massage and my masseuse was actually not great but I was happy my husband enjoyed his . The receptionist then informed me that they would NOT accept our massage credits and we needed to sign up for another membership or pay double the price for our massages ON TOP OF the money we already wasted for massage credits we couldn't use . To top it off they nickel and dime for everything . If you want aroma in your lotion it's $10. If you want the nice room for couples , it's $20 and so on and so on . We ended up paying almost $500 for a 1 hour couples massage when you include the massage credits they won't take or refund , the new massage cost at FULL price , and all the add ins and tip . The receptionist told me (which I'm sure the manager is fuming she told me this ) that there are dozens of clients in the same situation . If the Massage Green you go to closes , you cannot use your credits . They will lie and say you can and then you end up like me and instead of using your credits , you'll end up double paying. She said some people had up to $1000 of credits they could not use . It's sad this company treats their clients this way . This is supposed to be about relaxation and not a money grab with no service . I was told to pay and take it up with manager on Monday . The manager , Mary , basically told me tough luck and to take it up with corporate or the other Massage Green . In all I wasted hours of my life , added unnecessary stress to an already stressful time and hundreds of dollars on horrible service. I am angry to the point of tears . Mckinney Massage Green could have told me I could not use my credits and instead they kept that from me and took more money from me and my husband. Talking to the manager , Mary , on Monday , was just a further waste of time and added frustration. I feel ripped off and blown off. Please do yourself the favor and save the headache and expense . As a first time client as soon as I walked into the room there was a long stem red rose waiting for me. The bed was even heated. This was my first time here. The masseuse was phenomenal. I have migraines constantly. She was able to stretch the muscles in my neck and help with the problem. She was also able to suggest some ways to find relief at home. The place is brand new and very clean. They even have the hot towel cabinets in the room. The masseuse is very knowledgeable of the anatomy of shoulders and neck. I woke up the day of my appointment with a fever- so I called 1 hour before my appointment to cancel and they were super sweet...then didn't mention they charged me a late fee. Terrible policy!! Why would you penalize a customer for not wanting to come in sick? This policy penalizes clients for being honest and taking steps to stop the spread, and clearly they don't care about their clients wellness- just their revenue. The facility is very nice and clean. Very relaxing atmosphere with fountains & calming music. What attracted me most about this place was the sauna! Each massage room has a miniature sauna inside with music or you can even watch Netflix or Hulu on the screen inside. You can sit inside for up to an hour & it comes with the monthly membership if you choose to sign up. There was absolutely no pressure to sign. In fact I probably would've liked if they had given me more information to sell me the membership instead of me having to ask so many questions. You can sit in the sauna before your massage to help loosen up your muscles & get the most out of your massage. They also offer facials. I haven't had one yet but I plan on taking my daughter for one for her birthday. Your membership includes family members so my husband and I or my older daughters can all go for the monthly service and every additional service is discounted. And if we get too busy & don't schedule anything for the month, it rolls over! Can't wait to go back. I'm gonna add aromatherapy to my next service. My partner and I booked a couples massage together and also booked it in the couples room. I have not been so relaxed in such a long time. My partner and I had such an overwhelming positive experience. We even arrived late and although that did cost us time, the owner offered us complementary sauna for the next time we come in (which we will). Both our therapists Maran and Rebecca were wonderful and payed attention to our requests. My partner has not felt such relief in his back in such a long time. The room we booked was stunning, I did not expect such quality from a small spa but the personal interactions were splendid. The building it's self is very tranquil and soothing as soon as you step in. This spa even takes steps to be more eco friendly and that is always a plus! This space was an emotional intervention.
