I was booked with Brittney and she won me back all over again. She said she was aware of my previous experience and talked through what I can expect, asked about pain points and any spots I'd prefer to focus on. What an amazing deep tissue massage! She was tender where it was needed and firm on getting the knots out. She varied her approach to getting the kinks out and gave me great advice on handling a pain point that's been giving me trouble. Wow! Thanks to my teenage daughter I came here to have a birthday one hour massage. It was the best! I had Jan as my therapist and she did a fabulous job! She explained everything beforehand and then I was in heaven for 60 minutes. The front receptionist was also very sweet, friendly and so professional. Her name is Melina. I finally decided to use my gift certificate for a full body massage.Upon booking with them I looked them up on spa finder and saw they had good ratings. I called and scheduled a noon appointment with Grace the massage therapist. Upon arrival I filled out the new client paper work and was also served a pomegranate Bellini while I waited. Grace was very detailed and knowledgeable. My massage session was a 60 min full body massage.The primary problem area was my mid back. She started my massage in a face up position, loosening up tightness in my neck and shoulder area. Then I turned over to my stomach and she worked on my back. She definitely loosened up some tight spots in my gluteus area, I wish she could have gone a little deeper into the tissues of my mid back. Overall, it was a great experience and it's something to try if you workout a lot and experience tightness in your muscles. read more

I hate having to write this review. There are a lot of positives about this place. The environment is nice, they offer champagne, easy online self scheduling, generally lots of therapist availability, and something for everyone as far as therapists go. I've had positively transcendent massages here and honestly some of the worst, but that really boils down to preference. The reason I'm giving 1 star is because of their business practices, which ultimately led me to cancel my membership. I'm sad about that because they're affordable and convenient. The first and most baffling is that I was seeing a therapist I really liked for several months, even sent my boyfriend to see him. One day when I was face down it was glaringly obvious to me that this therapist was VAPING in the room for nearly an hour. I won't go into details of how I know this is true, because it's irrelevant. When I spoke to a manager afterward she confirmed that he vapes and that my story sounded consistent with that being the case. Get this... HE STILL WORKS THERE. Literally when I was in a position of vulnerability he was endangering my health and took multiple steps to cover it up as if I wouldn't notice. Granted, it was a minor exposure, but how was he to know I didn't have asthma or some other condition? Basically I cannot fathom a wellness focused business to continue employing someone who would do something so unprofessional and disqualifying. They offered me 50% off that session since "that obviously took up a lot of the time." That's so not the point. Second, on several occasions when I had a less-than-stellar experience with a therapist, I've been asked IN FRONT OF the therapist after my service how everything was and if I'd like to leave gratuity. These are standard questions but it's pretty awkward to say "no" to the gratuity question in the presence of a therapist who didn't listen to your requests for adjustment or respond to your direct indication of pain/discomfort. I think this might have to do with their merchant processing (they have to enter the tip manually instead of allowing you to leave it on the receipt) but you would think they could display more sensitivity and professionalism or some up with some process to allow more privacy and discretion. It's awkward even when I am happily and generously tipping. read more

She is tantamount to a medical doctor when it comes to her knowledge of the human body and how deep tissue massage can alleviate pain and other issues as well as increase good health. Her knowledge, ability, and level of care and concern are something that is quite rare. My friend requested firm and the therapist said she wasn't feeling well and couldn't provide firm. 4/21/2021 we were late about 15 mins the 1st day we came due to the very bad accident on 423. When we came in the next day is when we received the bad service. Appreciate you speaking with your employees to get their side but she neglected to tell you it was the next day not the 1st day we were last due to unforeseen circumstances. I'm surprised I haven't reviewed this place previously as I loved it. As in used to... I have been coming here intermittently for at least 8 years... And even through a pregnancy. Great ambiance, and I've always (minus 1time) have received over the top massages. But the last 2 times I've attempted to get a massage they keep having staffing issues.. I prefer a female masseuse, I ALWAYS request it and it was in my notes, but I arrive for an appt, that Was confirmed mind you, and it's a male . And of course they're booked and have nothing available that day.. and I had hired a sitter. Fast forward to today, an hour and a half before my appointment and I get a call saying they have an emergency and they no longer have a female masseuse available. Are you kidding me??? I won't be going back to this place and I'll tell you why: Everything started off okay. I called for an hour and a half massage and they were able to get me in the same day. I arrived 5 minutes before my appointment so I could fill out all the paperwork necessary and not delay my appointment. When I walked in I promptly told them my name and got started. They offered me water and champagne and had it brought out to me. My massage therapist was not punctual, and when you're paying by the minute, I think that's important. The person at the front desk actually had to go back to the break room and tell the therapist to attend to me. The therapist got my name wrong... three times. The therapist gawked at my tattoos several times. In my opinion, if you see all kinds of bodies all day long, tattoos should be no big deal. They shouldn't be worth mentioning except to say, "Nice artwork" or something. My therapist was a Chatty Cathy! I am all for good conversation, but this was unwelcomed, superfluous chit-chat that lasted until I turned over on my stomach. 45 minutes... really?! Overall, the massage was okay but nothing worth going back for. It was unexcitingly average. I've had far better sports massages. Checking out, one of the receptionists was eating and the other didn't acknowledge my existence. read more

If you're looking for a relaxing massage experience, avoid this place like the plague. You'd be better off at one of those cattle call joints like Massage Envy. It's unfortunate that the staff at Siena Massage aren't more polite and professional because if you were to look around the facility, it seems like it would be a nice relaxing spa atmosphere. The problem with this place isn't location or price; it's the people. Punctuality is an ongoing problem. On at least 2 of the 4-5 occasions I've been there, there's been a problem getting my appointment in on-time. The first time occurred on a weekend. I scheduled the earliest appointment b/c I had other engagements I needed to get to. This wouldn't have been an issue except whoever ran the front desk never showed up. The two massage therapists (including my own) were very embarrassed and apologetic but it took calling the owner at home to get the doors unlocked. The owner gave me a free massage which I told him wasn't necessary but he said he felt bad for the wait. The next time my appointment ran late was because I went to a different therapist who apparently can't set her alarm clock. I love how they ask us to arrive a few minutes early but the same courtesy doesn't apply to their staff. Then there's the rude front desk. At first I thought it was an isolated incident but they continued to make the same mistakes. Whether you're just arriving or trying to check out, they ignore you. Eventually they find it in their heart to look up at you or interrupt their personal conversations to help you. So far on every occasion (about 4-5 visits) I've had to wait to either chick in or out. What really chaps my hide is there's almost never anyone else waiting to be helped. There's no line so it's not as if they're too slammed to help. This may seem petty but when it's silent, there are multiple people available to help you, they see you coming and they still make you wait a minute or more without so much as saying "we'll be right with you", it pisses me off. And don't get me started on the type of open personal conversations they have in the lobby. You'd think they'd be too embarrassed to broadcast this kind of information within earshot of clients but apparently they don't teach shame in the trailer park. I don't want to sound tacky but if you'd have heard what I've heard you'd think you were on candid camera. It's like they're trying to gross you out or make you uncomfortable to see how you'll react. And to top it all off, when I tried to use my free massage I was told by the front desk that I didn't have one. My regular therapist looked at my chart and found a post it note where some genius wrote the following: "Deleted clients free massage when membership was canceled." Yeah, you don't just get to take away something you already offered. I canceled my membership because I was tired of this place and how do they leave their lasting impression, by trying to screw me out of a make-good they offered to me. I hope this place goes out of business within the year. read more

My husband and I recently visited Siena Massage for a couples massage. It was our first time visiting here and we were very pleased with our experience! I booked our appointment over the phone a few weeks in advance and the woman I spoke with was very friendly and helpful. She advised that we should arrive a few minutes early so that we could complete the required paperwork and relax a bit before our appointment. The location was easy to find - it's in a shopping plaza right next to Sprouts directly off Preston Road, so parking was not an issue. When we walked in we were greeted by the receptionist at the front desk who checked us in and gave us the paperwork to fill out. We both were also given a complimentary beverage (choices included water, wine, champagne, and of course a Bellini) to enjoy while we waited. The lobby itself is very nicely done though it is not anything extravagant or ornate. My only complaint was that I wished the waiting area was separate from the actual entrance and check-in area. I think it would have been much more relaxing if they were separated somehow. Either way, we didn't wait long before being brought back by our massage therapists. The couples massage room is extremely small and very simple, but I guess you don't really need much. The lighting level was great and the music was your typical "spa/relaxation" mix and provided a very comfortable atmosphere. Our massage therapists were very friendly and professional and really took the time to understand any issues or areas of concern before getting started. Both my husband and I really enjoyed our massages - I only wish I could remember the names of our therapists! Check-out was fine - no problems here and we weren't pushed to buy a membership (although they do offer them for those that are interested). I not only love getting massages, but I need them since I get pretty bad back pain sometimes from waiting tables for so long, so I was super excited when Groupon had a special for this place ($29 for an hr). After reading the reviews on here I was very hesitant to drive 40 minutes for a possibly mediocre massage especially when I was in desperate need... but well, I was desperate! I booked my appointment the night before, then ended up having to reschedule because my other appointment ran a bit late. They were really nice about it and let me reschedule for an hour later. This made me even more skeptical -- I thought it was a red flag that they had all these openings available on a Friday! I arrived a little early and was welcomed with a few smiles, some paperwork and a delicious Bellini! The masseuse looked over my paperwork and suggested deep tissue and trigger point therapy. I had never had trigger point therapy suggested to me so I decided to try it out. Seriously, the best massage ever. I was so sad when it was over! You know, I really liked my massage here. My mom bought a couple of Groupons back in June and we cashed 'em in this week. I didn't realize but Siena is similar to Massage Envy where they are pushing a subscription plan, but instead they seemed a bit nicer. We were offered a drink and got a Siena Bellini.. very tasty and relaxing before the massages. My massueuse, Amber, was very nice and did a good job. Not too much chatter (just a little but it was more in the line of discussion about what I wanted or needed), very professional. I had no issues some of the reviewers had with rudeness or workers being unfriendly, they were actually very nice- everyone from check-in to check-out. I called at 11 am and they got me in at noon. Great scheduling. As requested, I arrived 5 minutes early for the appointment to fill out the new client paperwork. I was offered a complimentary beverage (ranging from water to champagne) and had it brought it out to me while I filled out my paperwork. Like clockwork, my therapist (Kelli) came out as I was finishing up my paperwork. She took me to the massage room and left while I disrobed and got onto the table. She asked about any problem areas and how I wanted her to proceed. We did focus on my back, shoulders, neck and lower back. The pressure used was just right and she really worked out the knots! I was so relaxed after the massage was over. I tried Siena Massage when Groupon offered a deal on its website about a week or so ago. I bought three sessions at $29 each. SO worth it. I've been a regular since last November. Their staff is unfailingly polite and professional, and the whole experience is excellent. Their online scheduling systme is extremely convenient. The massages I've had there have ranged from three- to five-star - and I think that's true wherever you go. Carolyn is an outstanding massage therapist, and I regularly book her. They keep extremely accurate notes on your prior visits, and are always prepared for your massage based on your past history. I've been going to Siena now for almost two years. I've been really impressed with their staff, though there have been a couple that are not to the same standard as others. The front desk did have some issues when I first started going, but there has been a positive change in the management which corrected those. The hardest thing for me has been finding a good massage therapist and then having them stay. Again, the change in management seems to have fixed this to a small degree, but it has been a problem. The therapy sessions are also professional, and I've found that the staff will be as talkative (or not) as you want. One piece of advice, be sure to ask for a therapist that provides the services that you are looking for. I like deep tissue massage incorporated into my massage, and not all the therapists can provide this. I've got my list of therapists that I use (and the ones I don't use), and I'm continuing to enjoy my massages every time. read more

When we moved to McKinney I cancelled the membership (no questions asked) and attempted a few places closer to home. Today I had the neck saver (75 min) massage done wonderfully by Dani, and I reactivated my membership because no where has compared to this place. So, for Mother's Day, I wanted to treat my Mom to a massage. I did a lot of research on local massage places - both on Yelp and on the websites of each business. Siena had great reviews everywhere, not to mention great pricing. I called to set our appointments almost 2 weeks in advance. The lady who answered the phone was nice. I didn't get her name, but she seemed new - a little unsure of some pricing, but it didn't bother me. She told me about all the specials and their cancellation policy. When my Mom and I arrived, they got us Bellinis to drink - delicious and complimentary. We got there early so we could fill out the required paperwork and enjoy our drinks. My massage therapist was Alex and he was fantastic! Such a sweet man, and made me feel very comfortable. I think some women are wary of male therapists, but any nervousness I had completely left after talking to him for a few minutes. I'm a talker during my massages, and he was lovely to carry on a conversation with. He checked in with me a lot to make sure I wasn't in pain. (I told him at the consultation that I normally end up feeling like a tenderized piece of meat for a few days and I didn't want that.) This was the first massage I've had that I actually felt good afterwards! Now I can see why so many people enjoy massages! The check out process was easy and hassle free. They didn't push memberships on us, but instead just gave us the information and was sincere when they said that they hoped we came back soon. All in all, I was impressed and pampered! If I want to schedule additional massages each month I can get it waaay cheaper & they have awesome promotions. This location is bigger than Adriatica but the location is on busy 289 in the shopping plaza near Hobby Lobby & Sprouts. They usually always have a time available for me. I switched my membership from another monthly program to Siena because they offer aromatherapy, which was not offered at the other salon at the time. I was drawn to the Tuscan atmosphere inside and I lucked into discovering an amazing therapist (Donna) on my first trip! I've been hooked ever since!
