5/5 Stars - Absolutely rejuvenating experience at Modern Day Spa! I've been to a few spas around the area, but Modern Day Spa has quickly become my favorite go-to spot for total relaxation. The moment you walk in, the clean, calming atmosphere hits you--soft lighting, peaceful music, and that fresh spa scent that instantly melts the stress away. I treated myself to a full-body massage and facial combo, and it was pure bliss. The pressure was perfect (not too light, not too intense), the oils smelled amazing, and every knot in my back and shoulders just disappeared. My skin felt so smooth and glowing afterward--like I'd turned back the clock a bit! What really sets this place apart is the outstanding service. The entire team is friendly, professional, and attentive from check-in to check-out. Special shoutout to Dao--she provided my service and took such incredible care of me! The Swedish massage is wonderful and I have recommended this place to friends and family that all loved their experience! Wowwww! My massage was amazing and much much needed. I was super super tense from work and working out. This was just the place that I needed on a Sunday afternoon. I was surprised that I was able to get an appt on a Sunday! Honestly, I checked the Richardson location first but I wasn't able to get an appt over there. I was greeted immediately and they gave me a pair of slippers to wear. They took me to the foot bath area and gave me a cup of tea. The whole experience was just amazing. They do ask you how the pressure is so don't be afraid to let them know if the pressure is too hard! read more

I wanted a massage but this place over-delivered. I haven't had a Thai massage before but it was quite the experience. You start off with some hot tea and foot bath. Then your masseuse asks what areas you are bothering you. I explained I was very sore from working out and my back was tight. I felt so refreshed afterwards and we finished having some more tea. The therapist could tell where my trouble area was just in the brief time of the foot bath. Asked me questions to make sure I'm ok with what she thought would be most effective before and during my session. The massage was ok, but very aggressive. My masseuse pushed so hard on my skull and neck that I actually received a brain bleed and had a stroke a few days later. If you do decide to get a Thai massage, do not let them manipulate or massage your neck or skull. Trust me. read more

That was the best massage I've ever had! Ask for Daw if you need deep to intense pressure. I'm sure she's amazing with any pressure. She has amazing technique, especially when walking and can sense your problem areas. She also does an amazing job cracking certain areas. I have been suffering from golfers elbow as well as pain when I'm fully extending my arm in the elbow area. She did this amazing thing that cracked my elbow. 10 times better than any chiropractor has ever done and it feels so much better. I'm stoked!!! They have a loyal customer for life now. read more

Covid protocol: they will check your temperatures with contactless thermometer upon entering. They have face masks for sale if u request one. All ladies had their mask on. Very relaxing massage spa with complimentary foot bath. They will scrub and wash your feet before your massage. You'll also receive hot tea to relax before your massage begins. There are different rooms and u can request a couples room too. We had masseuse ladies name Da and Rung. They are both wonderful, friendly ladies! If you aren't familiar with Thai massages, be aware that they do get on the table and may get on top of you while you're laying face down. It's all part of the thai style massage, if you are not comfortable then just request for them not to. But it's worth it and they do get all the knots and stretch you in ways u didn't even think u were that flexible lol Overall it was a pleasant experience! $70 for 1 hr with complimentary foot bath, hot towels and hot tea/water to freshen up before and after. Please remember to tip them well. I gave my lady a $20 tip because it was good and she definitely got all my knots, tension, good stress reliever! read more

We walked in without an appointment and they took us on the spot which was truly appreciated. I've been promising myself a massage for the last 7 months so this was long overdue and worth the wait. I wish I knew the name of the woman who took care of me but she did her thing forsure! I could feel her tending to every knot she felt in my shoulders neck and upper back ( that's where I carry most of my tension ). The employees were friendly with a good sense of humor and made me feel extremely comfortable. I must share this wonderful experience I had when visiting this spa. As I walked in, I saw a lady thanking her therapist and going on about how great she felt after her massage. When the therapist walked away, I asked the lady if this was her first time and she said no, I come frequently and I always request Anna. So, I asked the receptionist if Anna was available and luckily she had an opening. From the moment I met her and throughout the massage, she was so engaging and informative on the techniques she was using and was able to find problem areas on me without me even saying where they were. I called Sunday afternoon, hoping I'd luck out, I asked if there was by chance a same day appointment available. I've been getting headaches and having pain around my neck/ trapezius muscle. They got me in same day and I was able to get an hour combination massage. My massage therapist was Vicky. She did an amazing job! If you see this Vicky, thank you again! I felt relief as soon as my massage was done. On arrival I was greeted and given sandals to change into for a foot bath they do before your massage. At the foot bath station I was given a warm tea for relaxation and I filled out my welcome sheet. Then I was walked over to the massage room where I was left to get ready. Vicky worked on my whole body but focused on the area I told her I was having discomfort. She was wonderful from beginning to end. She would communicate with me and ask my comfort level. I just want to say that I found the perfect Thai Spa here in Texas! My daughter works nearby so she told me to checkout the place. I was able to make an online appointment easily. There were several different packages to choose from, so I decided on the traditional Thai massage. I must say, my body was a wreck before I came to my appointment. I've been suffering from severe lower back pain due to my travels and weight gain. It has been excruciating for me for the last 6 months. I've been to other places for a swedish massage but I felt it just masked my pain. Well, everything changed when I walked into Modern Thai Spa. The staff there are very friendly and professional. Walin helped me with my hour and half massage. It was surreal!! Her knowledge of thai massage and techniques were incredible. The spa itself is quite lovely and tranquil. I finally felt so relaxed and at peace with myself. Walin guided me through the stretching and easing up of my knots on my shoulders and back. She gave me great advice on taking yoga classes and doing some stretches at home. After my session, I felt rejuvenated. I was able stand tall and feel refreshed. I truly appreciate the warmth and skills that was provided by Walin. I truly recommend Modern Thai Spa to everyone. The ambiance is so relaxing and the prices are extremely reasonable. I'm very upset at this time, I had a scheduled appointment for 2 and booked in advance by phone, so when I get off work I could go straight there. I was looking forward to coming, but they had canceled my appointment without my knowledge or permission and rebooked with someone else because according the their policy (which was not told to me), I only had 20 minutes to confirm my appointment. They sent me a text not even an hour before my appointment, I get off work, respond my confirmation (29 minutes after they barely sent their confirmation text) and 21 minutes before my arrival for my scheduled appointment. I was already driving there when I found out through text, "sorry we have canceled your appointment already" and now EVERYONE/EVERYWHERE is booked and I can no longer gain a massage service that I had planned in advance. I spoke with an individual, but there was nothing they could do, but give an additional $5 off my next appointment for the inconvenience. This is just very upsetting and out of all the businesses I've been to, this is the FIRST time this has ever happened. read more
