Breanna was very rude, and told me she was going to charge me $36.00 for missed appointment. Everything is tried to explain, she talked over me and acted like she could care less. The only reason to knock a star off was because this morning I called three times and no one answered I even left a message. And I went in because I was close and turns out no one was in there but one lady and 2 receptionist and told them I called they seem to be in impressed. This is only based on interaction on the phone, never tried the services. I called them on Wednesday to book two appointments for me and my wife on Sunday. I received the phone call on Friday telling me the massage was at 4pm Friday. Thats fine we all make mistakes and they made the mistake in scheduling. What I didn't like is when I spoke to the manager who refunded me the cancelation fee, she did not even apologize for the inconvenience. My husband and I had purchased 60 minute couples massage Groupons and came here the other day hoping for deep tissue massages. We were assigned two males which we were good with expecting our massages to be on the stronger, firmer side. When we arrived, we were given two questionnaires asking about pressure level desired and which areas to focus on. We were also given the choice of elevation add-on and we chose hot stones. Our massage therapists were very polite, but they didn't come get us until at least 5 minutes after our scheduled time. Of course we had to undress and prepare in the room, so our massage started close to ten times late. We noticed they ended the massages early as well, so really the 60 minute massages were more like 45 minutes at best. And now for the massages....The massages were not deep tissue at all, but more like Swedish massages I suppose. The therapists never asked us that important question most masseuses ask, "How's the pressure?" The hot stones felt nice and were the highlight of the massage. When we left, the receptionist tried to get us to sign up for a membership to which we declined. We will continue to search for true deep tissue massage. read more

The massage quality has been subpar. Additionally, my payment method was hacked and had to cancel my card on file. Rather than a call from the local business I simply was sent emails. I asked to pause my account. They told me it would cost me $10. I have 10 hours worth of massage. Receptionist also let me know the owner is in Chicago so she doesn't care that the suspend fee should be waived. Apparently the staff and owner do not care about members that have been there for a long time. In fact, I was reminded that canceling and if I ever rejoin, I would have to pay the new higher rate. Visited on my 2nd day of my vacation. We enjoyed a couples massage. Husband fell asleep so you know it was very relaxing. My massage therapist was male and super strong. Took all the knots out of my neck and as well as my shoulders. We selected the hot stone treatment which was excellent. I had a couples massage and it was amazing. The massage was an hour long, and it was much needed. The massage tech used hot stones and lots of lotion. The pressure was a little harder than I'm used to, and I felt a little beat up at the end, and for the next several days, however, it was well worth it. I felt so relaxed afterwards, it was awesome. When I called to discuss the situation as they asked me to, the person I spoke with, Lori was quite put off as to why I asked for the director of retreat and had no idea why I was calling. After I spoke to her. she said she would call me back the next day, which she did. She too stuck to this is our policy. No flexibility. I'm not sure why they even asked me to call to discuss the situation. There was not even an option to meet in the middle and they charged me. It's not about the money, it's about the principal. Things happen in life and there's usually always an exception. I have a membership at a different spa. I was only going to go here because I received a gift card from a friend.
