My review is the following: The Weslayn/ West University staff is friendly and personable and offer great massages but a little pricey once you adjust for the 20% inclusion of tip that most of the therapists are accustomed to. Here is my workup: Cons: One point that does need to be reviewed with management is the start and stop time. If you are late, the hour will only be applied to the allocated time. For en example, if the massage begins at 4:00pm and ends at 5:30pm and you show up at 4:10. The massage really will only go until 5:30pm and no later. Every once in a while, a therapist will go out of the way but seldom. Pros: Establishment is clean and accommodating. Pros: Trained and Certified Pros: Good music selection Pros: Will allow you to reschedule if of an emergency within 24 hours; reschedule outside 24 hours Cons: The other point that management does need to stress is the start time as some of its employees buy time and begin late (allowance of 10-12 minutes for undressing, etc..). Cons: If you are a member and do not use the facility/massages, you cannot gift these to anyone and I think that if Massage Heights allowed this, they would be in a great position to capitalize on many more memberships. All in all, service is fine. It would be nice to have certain perks for long time members such as myself. I rate this as an average to good but too want the reader who is reviewing this to BE AWARE of these few cons but too check out their positives! read more

Decided around 11 am that I wanted to treat myself to a massage after a hectic travel into Houston the night before + this mornings traffic and work load. Was able to get scheduled at 6 pm, which gave me enough time to wait out traffic near work and get over to Massage Heights Vanderbilt with plenty of time (arrived 15 minutes early). Was greeted and checked in very quickly, filled out my paperwork and got settled about 10 minutes early with my massage therapist, Devin. Magic folks! Pure magic! I was getting an introductory 90 minute massage + hot stones and it was AMAZING. I had a lot of tight areas that I didn't even know were tight! Walking out I felt like Jell-O (in a very good way) and definitely will be back for more services. Since I am not located here in the Houston area and sadly there is not a Massage Heights near me at home (first thing I looked up when I got to my hotel), I didn't immediately sign up for a membership. But I think I just might and will probably go back this week to sign up ( I travel here often enough that it might work out ). I highly recommend this place, can't wait to go back for another massage with Devin and hopefully get to try their facials and other "elevations" soon! read more

I pre-paid for a membership at this place. I made an appointment to get a massage. When I arrived, the lady at the front desk did not acknowledge me. She was shooting the breeze with her colleague. Eventually, I called her attention and told her I was there for my appointment. I was told that I did not have an appointment. I responded that I had gotten a confirmation call and email about the appointment. Now, mind you, I had taken off from work that day so I could run some errands and end the day with that massage. On top of that, she wanted to make it my fault, stating that I may have misunderstood the call, to which I asked her if she's implying that I cannot understand a simple conversation. I then showed her the confirmation email but I never got an apology for my missed appointment. To make matters worse, the owner was not any different. She was not apologetic either. Her first instinct was to lay the blame on me. That tells you the kind of culture that exists there. I understand that mistakes do happen but an immediate simple sincere apology for wasting my time without trying to lay the blame on me would have been great. I called this location early in the afternoon last Friday hoping they'd be able to squeeze me in. They did and were really sweet about it! I was able to come in that evening and had an amazing massage! My massage therapist was Mary - she was excellent! I spend the majority of the day in front of my computer at work and then transition to sitting all evening in law school classrooms. Needless to say, my posture is horrible and my stress levels are through the roof. I need massages to keep me healthy and sane! Mary was able to work out so many huge knots in my back and shoulders that by the time I left I felt like a different person. The front desk employees were fantastic as well. Incredibly kind and thoughtful. I ended up signing up for 6 months and received 1 massage for free. I am a happy, happy girl! I have been to Massage Heights twice and both times had a great massage. The owner Priscilla, gave me my first massage and I was very satisfied. I like firm pressure, and she gave me a very strong massage without making me feel like I was beaten up. The next time I scheduled an appointment, Priscilla was unavailable, but since she knew what I liked she suggested I see Mary. Just Wow. Mary was equally skilled as Priscilla and gave me a firm deep massage that worked out my knots. I had gone in after a car accident, and I was very particular about where I could and couldn't be touched and Mary followed my instructions kindly. As for the spa itself, it's very clean, serene and relaxing. The front desk staff is kind and courteous. This was my first experience with massage heights actually, despite having so many massages in the past. I've always wanted to try them and I was not disappointed. I got the hot stone add on with Andre and he was very gifted. He made sure that the rock temperature and the pressure was good throughout, which I really appreciate. He did his best to make sure I was comfortable at all times and he had a nice firm pressure, which is preferable to me. He also made small talk and got to know me but at the same time kept the convo light so I could relax,not too much convo and not too little--it creates a good relationship between the therapist and the client. He also let me know about specials and info without being pushy. I feel a ton better, he really knows how to work tense areas and muscles. I recently moved from FL and was looking for a regular massage therapist to deal with my chronic neck pain. Massage heights has been such a treasure! Their front desk staff is friendly and helpful with scheduling. The actual facility is so peaceful, calming and beautiful (a true spa-like experience, but with an excellent value). They have night appointments and even weekend availability which works really well with my busy schedule. I have had chair and table massages which have been excellent. I have found my favorite therapist has been Anna Davis. I've had many massages in my life and have found she is so knowledgeable with proper technique and deep tissue massage. She has been great in working with me when I have come in with neck or jaw pain. I have recommended this place to my coworkers and friends already. read more

There's a Massage Heights in my area which is a quick 10-min. drive from my garage to the parking lot. My wife and I don't care much the 40min. drive to Vanderbilt simply it's worth all the penny. From the reception (very nice, courteous, accommodating, helpful and always with a ready smile) to their therapists there's nothing bad I can think about. Been trying out so far 3 therapists and I have to admit it's hard to choose among them because they are all supremely good at what they do - the good thing about this dilemma? I have been very impressed with this Massage Heights location, in fact I just got a membership and come every 2-3 weeks! The atmosphere is very inviting...very clean and sanitary, friendly and they make me feel safe and relaxed as soon as I walk in. The front desk staff are so nice and always friendly. I have received both massages and facials here, and it's been the best experience! My favorite massage therapists are Josh, Brittany and Madeline, and love both aestheticians Dohomey and Vanessa. I called on Wednesday and was able to make an appointment for the time I wanted for that Friday. The front desk was friendly. I filled out my paperwork and went back after only a few minutes. This was my introductory massage so they did go through the different membership packages and elevations that you can add on to your sessions. They weren't overly pushy with it and answered any questions I had. My massage therapist was Tsukasa and I will be scheduling with her again when I go back. This was my first time getting a professional massage. I went for a couples massage... I worked with Sasha (I believe that is how you spell it-- she is new to massage heights so her business cards weren't available.) Sasha was amazing. She knew exactly what I wanted and made me feel comfortable. I was surprised the hour session went by so quickly. She knows what she is doing! Her trained hands know the right pressure and she also asked to reassure if I could handle the pressure. She worked the knots out of my hands and back which were much needed. Great facility, great staff, excellent management, I have never had a problem with any of the services they provide with the retreat from therapeutic body works to facials. All the staff are very knowledgeable in their crafts and fields. You may run into some minor problems, with timing of session but that's if you are unaware of massage protocol, most 60 minute massages, run 50-55 minutes, with about 2.5-5 minutes for client to get comfortably on/off the table prior/post to body work. I live in Katy, Texas and have many choices for a massage. I drive all the way to this Massage Heights on Holcombe Blvd in Houston just to get a massage from Devon. I happened to wander into this locations when visiting my son in this area. I have hurt my shoulder, neck, arm and back working long hours on the computer for work. He has done more good for me than the doctor has. I cannot say enough about how great he is!!!! You must try him out. I am already telling friends and family about him! Best massage of my life. OMG, I had a massage with Lorenzo 2 weeks ago and then on yesterday. I love everyone at this spot but Lorenzo is my favorite. He is really good with Deep Tissue Massages and he got this down to a T. This place is very tranquil and clean. Beautiful inside. Loved the front desk staff. They were very welcoming and informative. I set up an appointment for microdermabrasion with Maribel. She was very professional and did and amazing job. After evaluating my skin she recommended a few by dermalogica that I picked out. The facial was great the difference was visible. My skin has been glowing since and I could go out bare skin. Also use the products I picked out. I loved the overall experience and def looking forward to my next appointment. read more

As a long time hairdresser(40+years) I have had many massages over the years to keep my body able to continue to work. Last night I had my first massage with Nancy for an hour and a half. It was the best massage I have had in years. She listened to what I said were my issues and she absolutely took care of them. She knew I wanted deep tissue and she delivered. I love this place!! I have had several massages here from different therapists, and they all have been excellent. I had my most recent massage with Raymar, and I highly recommend him. I used to be a member at a different massage chain and I left to come here instead. The customer service here is wonderful- I have always been able to schedule an appointment in a timely fashion. Sandon is the best! I always leave better than when I came in. He is courteous, listens to your needs, and has excellent technique. I had gone to the chiropractor to address pains in my hip and shoulder area. However, after 4 sessions with the chiropractor, it was Sandon who managed to work out these areas and I don't have the chronic pain I had previously. It's an out-of-world experience. Judy is a phenomenal massage therapist! I've tried many therapists and she is by far the best one. She always knows where to put the right amount of pressure in my back when I get the deep tissue massages. She not only is a good massage therapist, but she has a very warm and friendly spirit.
