I followed my masseuse to NOW from a other location. It was interesting to see an open concept massage parlor. You basically enter a communal area with curtains separating each "suite". They play really loud wind/wave sounds to block out the noise but if you have someone entering or exiting next to you, you can still hear them. Conversation is definitely not ideal. I didn't like that so much, not because I like conversation during a massage but because I prefer it quiet and other people coughing and moving around messed up a bit of the zen. Otherwise, the furniture is new, the place is clean, and the bedding nice and crisp. My masseuse was the best, as always.. (shout out to Ricardo!!) Overall, location was alright - there's a hospital parking lot in the back in case you can't find any on the Main Street cause it gets pretty busy in the area. This place is one of those which take membership for monthly service in order to save money.. but they run more expensive than the last place I went, especially when everything is an add-on cost. I hate that they nickel and dime everything and there's only 50/80 min options. read more

I was desperately in need of a massage to manage some shoulder pain and my usual place was booked. I appreciated being able to get a same day massage but I was not a fan of this concept. I am not the biggest fan of spa sounds and they were like hard core pumping wave sounds and white noise really loudly into the communal massage area. On top of the real thunder you can hear, it was just overwhelming. The communal massage area is so awkward. You feel like you can barely take a deep breath or you will be too loud. Especially during the winter where people are coughing it threw off the relaxation and I am someone who feels energies so I could just feel all the other individuals in the room. Pricing is ridiculous. They are already expensive for only a 50 minute massage for $125 but then to get any sort of tailored massage line deep tissue is an extra 20-30 dollars. I don't feel like I got any extra type of service for having paid the extra $20 for deep tissue because I still had to ask my therapist for more pressure. They have a membership they seem to really want you to pay for but I don't think this is your place if you are truly trying to relax read more

I stumbled across this gem via Yelp. When I saw it, I bookmarked it because I wanted to try it out at a later day. I appreciate the location. It's about 10 minutes away from my place. Parking can be a pain (a Houston norm) but there is street and lot parking behind Torchy's. I parked in the lot behind Torchy's and walked a block to the massage boutique. I arrived about 10 minutes before my 2pm appointment. I was greeted and completed the check-in. Very pretty and relaxing environment, well decorated. My masseuse was Soleil. She was sweet and gentle. My last three appointments there - a few months ago, massage was average at best; a month ago, Last minute cancellation with no other availability for days; and finally, I show up 15 minutes before appointment like they ask. They check me in and say the therapist will be out shortly. 30 minutes later they tell me that they have been unable to reach the therapist. This place not only took 115 every month saying that I could use that anytime. But when I booked and then try to cancel because I couldn't go, since I just had a baby and I wasn't feeling good. The owner Ben charged 425 dollars on my card on top of the 115 they already have charged every month. Despite the fact that I told them last time I was in, that I wanted to cancel because I couldn't come anymore because I had my c section schedule the following month. This place just literally took 700 dollars and provided no service no phone call nothing. This should be allowed. No massage place do this! Stay away from this place and their membership. read more

Bummer, I bought a $60 gift card for a friend so they could treat themselves to a 25 minute massage. Unfortunately, my friend let me know that they only provided her with a 15 minute massage and no explanation to why it was cut short. She said she arrived at 5:30pm to check in and fill out paperwork, and was on the table at 5:40pm. By 5:55pm, the massage was done. I guess if you book an appointment here, check-in 10-15 minutes earlier so they will give you the full service. 3 stars for the cute, relaxing atmosphere and the friendly staff who helped me purchase the gift card and box it up. I was excited to hear how my friend's massage went prior to actually booking a service for myself but I think I will go somewhere else. read more

I just recently discovered this spot through social media! This is such a cute and relaxing spot for a massage. Everything is easily booked online or over the phone. You can add on treatments and book massages for a full or half hour. Everyone working was really friendly. Only two downsides are there's no locker room or shower space, so need to be going home right after. And just an fyi, added treatments cut into massage time. I added a scalp massage for $10 without realizing it! This place really reminds me of Haitus in Galleria Uptown area. Haitus is a little more expensive but does have a full lounge and locker room with showers. Memberships are available at both! read more

I've had a handful of massages here during my membership and and generally the quality and ambiance are good and consistent. The schedule is flexible and I've never had an issue getting in same day (as long as not picky about the therapist). The price point is middle ground, nicer than most strip center massage places but under hotel and luxury spas. So generally a good value too. The only complaint is the tipping guidance. They "suggest" $20 for a 25 minute massage, and $40 for an 80. That's between 30% and 40% of the posted price. I usually leave 25% for amazing service, but NOW somehow makes me feel bad about it. First, the clerk is standing right there watching as you check out. So you feel obligated to tip high regardless of quality of service. Second, promoting a 40% tip as standard practice is a bit outrageous. Now, for an excellent experience this might be warranted and I have left it. But, the way they go about it makes me feel just pressured. And question if they are paying the therapists enough or subsidizing wages with tips. Either way, after a few awkward check out experiences, I finally cancelled membership. I still recommend Now for last minute massage bookings and a dependable experience. I don't see the value in the membership or check out experience. read more

It's not sexual at all but y'all wanting deep tissue massage should go to a Vietnamese massage that will get into to the joints. Massage with Boon was very efficient and effective on my body. I felt pain but it didn't hurt working through my tight areas. I was able to breathe better, the pressure was perfect the entire time. I didn't feel rushed at all. The Stretch massage was therapeutic and I left feeling lighter and having better posture. I don't mind the walking sound and the short instances of words exchange between the guests and the staffs. As someone who has a slight claustrophobia, I appreciate the concept The NOW has offered. I am a participant of their membership program and I save a lot monthly for quality massages compared to other day spas I have been to in the past. The massage routine can be catered to your needs on the day of the appointment and never is the same for two consecutive visits. Boon is my go to masseur every time but I have had experiences with other masseurs as well and I have to say, they are all well trained. If you are big on self care and always wanted to try out massages, please give The NOW a try! Parking can be difficult but it's very safe to park on the streets. I really liked the ambiance. The person checking me in didn't really do anything for me. She checked me in with little to no enthusiasm. She was eating and playing on her phone while I waiting in the lobby. The therapist was nice but looked a bit sloppy. His white shirt was stained but overall he was accommodating and asked me a bunch of questions before the massage. I booked a deep tissue enhancement but the massage was not deep tissue at all. Upon booking the massage I accidentally submitted it with a gua shua enhancement but then had them change it via text message to a deep tissue. When I checked out, I wasn't charged for an enhancement. I'm not sure how it fell through the cracks. I also left covered in oil. I had to wipe my car seats down when I got home. read more

There's even a water bowl at the entrance for your furry friends!!! (SUPER CUTE!) I walked into the lobby and the scent of Jasmine Coconut made me feel at home! The warm and welcoming front desk were so sweet and my 80 minute massage was EXACTLY WHAT I NEEDED!!! My therapist even suggested specific stretches to help me extend my self-care. Came in for a NOW 50 massage, and as soon as I entered I felt like I was transported to a dimly lit relaxing massage cabana on a beach in Mexico. The ambience was perfect. All the service was friendly. I had a mini consultation with my masseuse prior to entering the massage room. The table was warm and comfortable. The massage itself was nice. I prefer firmer consistent pressure than what I received, and perhaps next time I'll consider a deep tissue massage instead of a standard NOW 50. The price points were a bit higher than some other places I've been, but the ambience definitely offered more than other places. Parking appeared to be street parking. read more
