I initially discovered River Oaks Thai Massage from my Class Pass subscription and decided to give them a try. It's located in a small, quaint, cottage style house. The location was easy to find however there is no easily accessible parking which is a bit of a bummer. There was only a small driveway for cars (max 2) however, I was able to find street parking around the corner close to the nearby apartment complex (simply because I'm familiar with the area). I was greeted with great hospitality as soon as I entered. I filled out my paperwork and was quickly taken to room even before my scheduled time. There's several different massage rooms and plenty of massage therapist which is nice to know especially if you're trying to make a last minute appointment (they've definitely got staff). I opted for the combo Thai/Sweedish massage which was lovely and exactly what I needed. The rooms are very spacious and the beds were as well, I've actually never had a massage bed that was queen size before. Tammy (masseuse) was very professional and listened exactly to the type of pressure I preferred. Thai massages incorporate lots of stretching and gentle adjustments which was neat to experience. It was exactly what I needed for tense areas in my back and shoulders. Afterwards, I was given the option for water or tea and a Ferroe Rocher chocolate delight, which was a lovely touch. They confirm your appointment via email and send a reminder as well which is great. They have you fill out the initial form for any previous injuries and where you'd like a focus on.
