My experience was based on two free one hour messages. My husband and I were gifted a one hour message each and were excited to try Message Heights in Kingwood. I was very disappointed to learn that I was charged two hour messages after the fact we handed the paper gift cards over to the front desk, the day of the appointment. I've called multiple times so far and have not yet received any response or solution from Message heights. This is not only very frustrating on my end, but it's also false advertisement on their end. And by using "mob-tactics" to not only threaten to send your accounts into collections if payments [from an already negative bank account] aren't made, the woman made every attempt to make me feel even MORE like sh** as if I was an idiot for even asking what options were available until my employment changed? 5 stars for my therapist, Ashtin. The front office is what brought this review down in stars. I just ran a half marathon and needed my legs to get worked on and when I called and got in with Ashtin within the hour. Spoke to her about what I needed done and she was right on target. Great pressure, and understood what my tired, tight and worn legs needed!!! She made some recommendations and pointed out some areas that needed more work. She also made sure to inform to let her know if I needed the pressure to be adjusted due to my legs being more sensitive as she states some people are not vocal about it. I just wished she was at the location closer to me! Only complaint was the bed wasn't heated. Now for the front desk. I came in and one of the therapist was talking about how her client walked out mid treatment on because she thought she was finish while still having a facial mask on. That wasn't what bothered me, it was how LOUD all the staff was. Seriously, you are there to relax not to hear people cut up so loud. They were all laughing and cracking jokes like they were at brunch sipping on mimosas. Very unprofessional for a "relaxing" environment. Honestly, if I was that facial client, I would have been a little embarrassed to walk back in because the staff member was telling the story to the entire store, as myself and another client waited there. So unprofessional. I mean, is it something your staff should be doing? Discussing someone else's visit in front of other clients? Also, I didn't realize that when I was asked if I wanted to leave a grat it was based off of the NON member price. So when I said I wanted to leave 20% it was off of the Non Member price of $100. I called back and asked them if that was a mistake. The person who answered the phone had a hard time explaining it saying "That's how our gratuity chart works. For non members, the price is $100 or if you are a member and don't have a credit." Then I responded, "But I do have a credit and my monthly charge is $60 so 20% of $60 isn't $20, so why am i getting charged $20 for 20% of my visit." She then responded, "Because $20 is 20% of $100. I can change your grat amount, if you like. What would you like it to be?" Her explanation was diluted and confusing. What she should have said was "Gratuity percentages are based off of the non member rates." Simple. Ashtin was the only shining star at this visit and she would be the ONLY reason why I would ever visit this location again if I was in the area. read more

FYI for all people, never lose a gift card because they will not honor it. Yes, it's on your account but they don't care because it's policy. I had an appointment scheduled and when I show up they told they didn't have my appointment in the system, and that the person that "probably scheduled" my appointment did not work with them anymore. How is it my fault that they hire incompetent people? They told me they could get me scheduled for a massage but not till like 5 hours later, they had already wasted my time, and my gas as I drove 20mins. Also, days before the appointment they sent me a text saying that my massage lady was back from maternity leave, to which I replied that I already had an appointment scheduled with her (or so I thought), do you think they even check the message or replied to me? I pointed this out to them then and received a refund. Then, unauthorized charges started again and were made consistently for several months. I brought this to their attention, again, and received my refund... again. Ok so massage heights sent me a text offering me a discounted massage for my birthday with add on service of hot stones if I got a 90min or 2 hr massage, so I inquired and thought it sounded good. When I asked how much each session costed they never responded but kept asking if I wanted to book an appointment, so I did. Keep in mind my first session over a year ago was around 80$. So I booked it and got the massage. Well I'm thinking ok 90 min might be a little bit more like 120$. Wrong they charged me 240$ after the discount. Not to mention the masseuse never dimmed the lights to make it comfortable and pretty much rubbed me raw with out oil to the point where there was so much friction it kind of hurt. Just saying all in all it wasn't a great experience and I'd just double verify price before you get the service so you don't get blind sided at the end. Don't get me wrong it hasn't always been a bad experience over there but this was a bad one. Manager made it right for the miscommunication. I have had a membership here for a long time. For the most part I really like their service. I love Denise and Kat, both ladies are wonderful. I have tried others there that are quite good too. The place is very nice, fluffy blankets, heated beds, and they have many amenities. The one thing I dislike is what I feel can be constant upselling. During the summer I don't want hot stones. I don't find the other elevations such as a foot scrub or a facial massage with stones to be that relaxing. With that being said I really enjoy the massages there. This is a membership place so be aware they will want to put you on a membership plan. read more

If you want a recommendation of a massage therapist-Nicole is my go to gal. She great and takes direction very well. Very friendly. Also doesn't do a lot of "hair salon talkaholic". I much prefer the peaceful ambience of quiet while getting a massage. The only reason I didn't give it 5stars was because the front desk are not very accurate when it comes to scheduling. Weather u want male/female therapist or time slot they tend to put u with whoever no matter the request. The manager is in no way helpful either. She dodged me multiple times when I tried to make a complaint that I eventually gave up-hence my review to speak my mind. She doesn't care about the customer experience as far as I'm concerned. I decided to try this place last month for a number of reasons including chronic back/neck pain, high blood pressure, and a general need for relaxation. My original thought was that if I enjoyed it and felt it was beneficial, I would want to make regular visits. The fact that they had a membership program that automatically withdrew from a checking account was very interesting. On my first visit my therapist was Kelly. I had massages at other places before but only Swedish style. Kelly performed more of a deep tissue massage presumably because of the issues I was specifically having with my neck and back. I was surprised at the pressure but experienced no soreness afterwards. It was very relaxing and I believe the aromatherapy set the tone for the session. After this session I purchased two memberships for my wife and me that included one hour per month plus aromatherapy plus a choice of one more "elevation". My first visit after signing up for the membership was with Misty this past weekend. I extended my visit to 1-1/2 hours and chose hot stone therapy as my elevation choice. This session was even more relaxing than the first and confirmed my choice to purchase the one year memberships. The two therapists I have encountered so far were very professional. Your modesty is always respected and they really know how to relax you and work those muscles. The first two times I ever "splurged" for a massage, I happened to be at resorts while on vacation and paid $125 both times for only a one hour session. At Massage Heights I literally pay half that including tip plus get the extra elevation with my membership. Had I done some research and known that it could be this affordable, I likely would have signed up years ago. read more
