Thank you for the information. This is the only time someone has reached out since I asked for Cheyenne's manager to call me back on Friday. Which she never did. I find it ironic that no one provided me the information that you waived the cancellation fee until my review. The four employees I spoke with on the phone and via text expressed that it was not going to be waived. Also I'm sorry if I stressed staff out due to their lack of communication, and misinformation which cost me over $ 900.00 in credits. I've been a member here for over seven years and up until recently the service has been excellent. However, in recent months, I've had a bad massage, terrible communication, canceled appointments, and constant phone tag with management. I will say that once I've been able to communicate with management, problems have been resolved. But the ongoing problems have been extremely frustrating. read more

I have a membership at MH and have been going to the Leawood location now for facials and massages. Today, I had the best 90 minute massage with Tamara who is AMAZING! She asked about what areas needed more attention and she definitely designed the experience to my needs. Many little things that just took the experience to another level. Great firm pressure with methodical massaging which nearly lulled me to sleep. When I turned over on my back, warm towel to my face which helped with congestion. Then once she was done with my shoulders, that came off and a warm rolled towel to my neck and shoulder and a weighted eye cover. While this was going on, she wrapped my feet in warm towels and then she massaged my arms and hands with stretching and rotation. Then back to massage my feet, using the towels to wipe off the oil when done and also putting towels in the floor so I didn't slip when getting up. Worst massage ever. Wasn't even a massage. She lightly rubbed me and scratched me with her nails. It was prenatal and they didn't have any special bolsters or pillows. I was so uncomfortable and left literally in pain. For $120-just book with a real spa. Also-she talked the entire time. read more

Really amazing customer service and friendly staff and therapists. I got a gift card from a friend and thought I'd try this place out. Got in immediately at my scheduled time. The front desk staff are so friendly to everyone. I was given free aromatherapy during my session. I was also so glad that the room was slightly cooler, because there are lots of blankets on that massage table. Massage was soothing, and my therapist listened to my needs. I do wish that my hands and feet would have been massaged too, but oh well. I'll have to try the hot stone add on next time read more

Customer service is always great, and if some small thing goes wrong, they always make it right. The app is much improved and makes it easy to make appointments and add them to Calendar. Both my wife and I have the monthly membership for a 90-minute massage, and we'll never go back to 60 minutes! I have a chronic knot in my neck from a combination of bad posture, not stretching nearly enough, spending hours in meetings looking at a projection screen to one side or the other, and schlepping an 18-pound work backpack through airports, usually slung over just one shoulder. Kate W. is the best! She finds the knots and works them until they're gone. As much as I travel, I often fall behind on my monthly plan, and have to play catch-up by scheduling massages as often as weekly. I could not even get a massage.....surprise birthday gift was totally ruined for therapist's very unprofessional and personal reason. My bf lives in the area and I was visiting him for his birthday (flew from another state). I had planned to take him here for a couples massage as a birthday gift. I researched several massage places and decided to make reservation at Massage Heights Leawood because they have very positive reviews. I made my reservation for Sunday @8pm over the phone and asked them to send me a confirmation email. I never received the email. Because I never received the confirmation email and I was worried, I decided to call them in the morning of the day of reservation and confirm that they have my reservation. They said yes. Later in the evening after 5:30pm, I called them again to see if it is possible to come in earlier. That is when I learned that one of the therapist could not come into work because her car broke down. They told me that they do not have enough therapist to perform the service I reserved for. They told me that they had to tried calling me to let me know and left voice mail during the day. Unfortunately, my phone (the number which I gave them at the time of reservation) broke and and I did not get the voicemail. Now I have no gift to give to my boyfriend and we can not reschedule because I do not live in the state and will be leaving on Monday. Great. Car break down is not reasonable and acceptable reason to cancel client's reservation. She could have taken uber or taxi or find a ride to keep the reservation. It is very unprofessional to cancel for personal reason like this. Also, it is not well managed because they should have another person to fill in her job in case like this. Since it was a surprise gift, I had told my bf to keep Sunday night for me. But I had to tell him what my original plan was, the fact that they cancelled my reservation, and unfortunately, we will not be going out...how embarrassing... I asked if the other therapist was still available to give massage to 1 person and they said yes so I considered giving it to him and I would just wait for him but we had been wanting to go for a couple massage place where we can be in the same room, we decided not to do so. Unfortunately, I was not able to find a different spa at this point (Sunday evening) that had availability and could do a couples massage in the same room. I cannot speak of their massage but as for the customer services, ZERO star. Very unprofessional and poor management. I will not recommend!!!! read more

I scheduled massages for myself and a friend who was visiting from out of town. I was told on the phone that the massage would be 60 minutes and was offered two additional services of foot and facial massages. These were at additional costs. I wasn't told that these two additional services are part of the 60 minutes so you don't get a full 60 minute massage. My therapist was OK, Pamela, but I couldn't recommend her. My friend had a better massage than I did with Camilla. I won't be back. read more

Poor customer service; unreliable. I've been getting massages for over 15 years and I've never had a location cancel on me TWICE. I understand that life happens, but this has never happened to me before. The 1st time I received 12hrs notice (evening prior); presumably due to family emergency. Not ideal, but I get it. 2nd time I was literally standing in the lobby when they notified me that my therapist was not available. This appointment was not last minute; booked over a week prior. I've been to quite a few Massage Heights locations locally, and nationally as well. I really like how this location is set up. Always clean, neat and the ladies up front are really pleasant. I've had a few therapists do deep tissue, and the consistency here is what other locations lack. Overall, I would highly recommend this location. I always feel refreshed and rejuvenated, both physically and mentally after a visit. read more

Nice place in Leawood. Pleasant check in experience. My only complaint was the loud talking in the hallway outside the room I was in. My actual room had a folding partition that made a couples room into an individual one so the people in that room were talking and easily heard. That wasn't great. I have seriously been slacking after getting regular massages for most of my adult life, and my husband, after much debate on my part because 'I just can't break away from momming and studying', insisted I book a massage for Mother's Day. I'm so glad I did, and even more glad that I chose Massage Heights in Leawood. Not only is it close to the house, but it's an amazing retreat! I am a member and always get a great massage but it is inconvenient to be on hold waiting to get an appointment. Wow! 2 hr massage was no less than amazing. Had to peal me off of the bed! The front desk staff is very knowledgeable and hospitable!

Better than Massage Envy but high turnover on the good therapists. The management probably doesn't take care of their staff but they are pretty good at picking decent therapists. Also they have gotten lousy about answering their phones. I refuse to leave a message at a place I am trying to pay for service unless it is a one man operation. read more

This location is amazing. It did take me a few tries to find the right therapist but once I found Jodee there was no turning back. She literally has magic hands. When I lived in Overland Park I was going in once a week (often times for 2 hour sessions) and was amazed at the overall improvement in my health and stress level. Jodee took the time to really understand what my issues were and she made extremely useful suggestions on things I could do outside of my sessions to help. I moved to Austin 2 years ago and I have yet to find anyone who could even come close to the type of experience I had at this location. I am not sure if Jodee is still with Massage Heights in Leawood but if she is I would HIGHLY reccomend that you schedule an apointment with her. read more

If I could give it 2.5 stars I would. We previously purchased a package from another Massage Heights location, which was then renewed and charged to our account every month until we realized what was happening. This is not the fault of this location, but I mention this to say that, despite several calls, I was not able to get the last two massage charges refunded, despite having moved out of state and not being able to use them. Recently, back in the area for a visit, we decided to use the remaining credits at this location, which had good reviews on Yelp. Unfortunately, our visit started with waiting while the only receptionist finished a long-ish conversation with another customer. Then, we were told that one of the therapists for our couples massage was going to be late, while the other massage therapist would need to start and end on time. Apparently, this had been left information had been left in a voicemail 15 minutes earlier, but the message did not come through until later due to some issues with our cellular service while traveling. In person, several options were offered, but the conversation felt rushed and confusing, including the review of the paperwork. When we got to the room, we were told the heater on one of the tables was not working, which no one mentioned when we made the appointment. There was more discussion of options, again rushed and confusing. The massages were good, but, overall, this was another frustrating experience with Massage Heights for us. read more

I love this place! I just want to have a really good massage. I don't have a need for a fancy spa that does nails and hair, etc. Massage Heights Leawood Parkway Plaza delivers just that.
