I walked in to a room with no front desk staff and what appeared to be a self-run business. Absolutely nobody else was around, and that was my first intuition that something seemed off. Michael half paid attention to me and seemed distracted, even annoyed. He barely went over a medical history with me when I tried to explain what I knew was anatomically wrong with me. He told me to change and get under the massage table sheets, then left the room without closing the door. When he returned he started to abruptly touch me in areas I was telling him were sensitive. He looked at my upper shoulders and jolted them down telling me my posture needed to be like that (well, duh, that's why I'm here). There is no way to relax when you feel your body being attacked, and when I tried to explain that to him he just became angrier. When he went to my pelvis I had a defensive response and had to push his hands away. It was creepy and as a woman that is a VERY delicate part of the body that cannot be quickly approached by anyone without any warning. At this point we both knew we were not going to proceed with the massage. It's no wonder he has so many reviews by women on this platform and google warning against him. Scheduling my appointment was easily done online. Kaita is so pleasant and efficient, and the atmosphere was so relaxing, the time absolutely flew by. I chose to do cupping too, which I've never tried before. I found it interesting that cupping happens concurrently to the massage, to enhance the massage and provide deep-tissue massage to wherever the cups are placed. Kaita listened to where my problem areas were, and focused on addressing those issues.
