Paola'a Boutique is a fantastic little spa located in the heart of Carrollwood! I went for a facial consultation and ended up joining with a facial membership. My first visit Paola spoke with me about options and did a skin assessment. My first facial was a microdermabrasion for $100 but now I pay $70 a month and can choose from a array of facial services. This was my second time and I received and oxygen facial. The facial membership is super flexible and you can roll over a certain number of facials (I forgot how many) but you still get charged monthly. You can also bring a number of guests (also forget how many) each month for the same price! The services I can choose from are microdermabrasion, oxygen facial, deep pore, microneedling, and more. The ones I remember are just the ones I'm interested in. The esthetician wasn't Paola but the lady did a great job both times. There was soft music playing, and I even got a neck and hand massage while my mask was setting. If you like facials and want to take care of your skin and you live in Carrollwood..... this membership is a must. Plus you won't find a better price in town. read more

I went to Paola for my first ever Brazilian wax. For years I have been afraid of getting brazilian not only because of the pain, but also the fear I would get more ingrown hairs since I have sensitive skin. I have had many bad waxing experiences in the past so I just maintained things myself for the most part. I felt comfortable going to her because she has been in the industry for 20 years. I am currently attending school and waxing is a specialty that I will be learning myself so I wanted to make sure that I personally experienced it myself so I could know what it felt like. Not to mention I wouldn't want my first one to be done by a student that wasn't as familiar with waxing this particular area. I happen to work in the same plaza as her and a few of my co-workers also recommended her. The boutique itself is quiet, very clean and well maintained. Paola did everything she could to make me feel as comfortable as possible for my first wax. I had so many questions and she very sweetly answered my questions to help keep me at ease as much as possible. She did everything she could to make me as comfortable as possible before, during and after my appointment. I will not deny that it was very painful, but for most people the first one is always the most painful. She gave me specific aftercare instructions to follow due to my concern of breaking out or getting ingrown hairs. It is normal to get a couple of them here & there when waxing. The results? I was shocked!! I expected it to be smooth just a couple of days before some growth started but I was wrong... 5 days later it was just as smooth as it was the 1st day and not an ingrown in sight. 10 days later, still smooth, no ingrown hairs... Over 2 weeks later, still so smooth with little visibility of some hairs that were going to start to come to the surface. When the hair growth started, it was 60% less hair than I had before and the hair was MUCH thinner too. By the time I went for my 4 week follow up, I wasn't sure if there was even enough hair to wax? The pain for my 2nd time was not as bad as the first, but still hurt. I even had her do my full upper leg so everything would grow evenly. The more I continue to keep up with it, the easier it will be each time, with better results. What's crazy is there are so many myths out there and stories that will scare people into never wanting to try it, at least that was me. I'm telling you I wish I would have started this 10 years ago when I was 19! I highly recommend Paola, I look forward to taking advantage of other services she offers! read more

I had been hearing about eye lash extensions and was interested in finding someone near me that could do them. After looking on Yelp, I saw that Paola's was at the top of that list. I was nervous about going since I have many allergies and skin sensitivities and didn't know how my body would react but I decided that it was worth a shot. After my plethora of questions which Paola gladly answered I made an appointment. The day of my appointment couldn't have gone any better, Paola was extremely kind and understanding. She put on a few lashes so we could see how my body would react, wait a day, and if I had any bad reaction we would take them off. Luckily, nothing went wrong so we finished up my set two days later. I now come in every 2-3 weeks depending on how many lashes fall out over time (which isn't that many) and takes about an hour to put them on. Her establishment is clean with an old Hollywood feel, there are pictures of Audrey Hepburn and Marilyn Monroe which makes you feel like you're about to get glammed up (because you are). Now that I have these lashes I'm obsessed with them and can't imagine my face without them! Anyone who wants a classy, fresh, natural look should definitely check this place out. Honestly, I don't understand the bad reviews she has gotten since they seem to have nothing to do with her skills, which are stellar. Paola sat down with me and explained everything about the process and at length told me how to take care of them. I didn't want them super-long and she was able to accommodate my request. After she was done, I was literally blown away! They are AWESOME! Perfect length! They open up my eyes and brighten up my whole face! I want my lower lashes done now! I waited until after a few sessions with Paola to write a review. Since the first visit Paola displayed kindness, concern, and professionalism. I sometimes have severe eczema on my face and she is very accommodating in regards to course of treatment. I had scheduled an appt here and had to cancel the morning of due to my babysitter backing out on me! It was either cancel or take my 3yr old and 5 month old to my wax appt! I had purchased a groupon for my appt. I called to reschedule and I was told that since I did not give 24hrs notice when I cancelled that I could no longer use my groupon. My groupon clearly states it can be used anytime between now and April. I don't usually write reviews, but I came in here for a Brazilian wax. I was pretty anxious since I was from out of town visiting and had never been here before. Unlike some places, when they set your appt time, that's your actual appt time! I've hated going to places for a 2:00 appt and not being seen until nearly three, but this place is punctual. Paola was AMAZING bc not only was she fast, but she was good. I didn't feel like she was haphazardly ripping wax off my skin in a rush to fit more clients into her schedule. I've had brazilians that take double the time she took without such a wonderful result at the end. She was able to accomplish a much better job in less time, not to mention she's super nice and service was above par. I felt comfortable and found no stray hairs when she was done.
