Today I went in as a 27 week pregnant women and the massage lady name Layla did such an amazing job on the Prenatal massage. It help so much with my back pain that I was having, she was also so sweet and always made sure I was comfortable and okay. The front desk lady was super sweet as well and this place is super clean and soothing. I got an amazing one hour Swedish massage from Massage Planet! I originally purchased a Groupon & called to make an appointment for a Saturday, but was told they do not accept Groupons on Saturdays. So, I had to plan accordingly & called back. When I called back, I found out that they do take Groupons on weekends. I made sure to check this three times. I'm not sure why I was told they wouldn't originally. I was able to make an appointment less than 24 hours in advance. When I arrived, the place smelled amazing and was super quiet and calm. I was quickly checked in and shown to my room. My massage therapist was amazing & worked on all my problem areas. The massage table has a large heat pad underneath...so it was a nice touch. They have soothing music playing in the background, which makes it feel like you are in a peaceful spa environment. Everyone was super friendly & the place was very clean. The only thing worse than no massage is a bad massage. Like a lotion rubber who uses no pressure (I workout a lot so I need someone who can get in to tight muscles) or someone who is just watching the clock while going through the motions without putting their heart or head into their work. It's the worst! Luckily, a bad massage is something I will never experience at Massage Planet. The owner makes sure all her staff are up to the same high standards that she practices. One day I just mentioned to the owner and she started blaming her therapist and telling me I am not getting a discount, which I never asked anyways. I booked an appointment for 3 people, myself, my sister and my niece. It was their birthday gift this year. I confirmed and reconfirmed the appointment and even received a text an hour prior confirming an appointment for 3 people. My niece and I got there a few minutes early and were told to go in the room. I told them my sister was on her way and would show in couple minutes. When she arrived she was told there were no therapists available. What an embarrassment. The lady came into my room to tell me that and I thought it was a joke. I was ready to get up so she can get a massage instead of me and then she came back and said that another therapist would come and be there in 5 minutes. Her massage ended up being terrible and half way through the therapist asked her how she would be paying. Again, how embarrassing. This was a birthday gift which I offered to pay in advance for but was told to only pay after. When my niece and I were done and I went to pay I asked the front desk lady that they would at least give her an extra 10 minutes to make up for this. She said sure but of course that never happened either. Anyways, I will not be back. Terrible customer service and the massage itself is also nothing to write home about. What a shame!! Review edit after business comment: NO ONE raised their voice. This was all handled very quietly and respectfully. This comment was made solely to make me sound unreasonable. Noticed that's what they say about others as well. Also, she was not late rather right on time. No one asked for 75 minute massage I simply said they could at least try to make up for this totally unacceptable customer service but adding 10 minutes and lady said sure. I'm not going to name who did my massage. But I'm upset I had a poor experience. I was given a certificate for a 90 minute massage for my birthday and I did not enjoy most of it. The lady was very nice and she didn't do a horrible job. They were a little inconsiderate on the amount but f pressure applied to each side but my complaint is about privacy during the sessions not the quality of the massage. During my session I looked up and saw light coming through the door. And instead of focusing on the massage and relaxing I kept trying to figure out whether the door was cracked open or maybe it wasn't aligned very well with the border. I tried to forget about it and continued the massage. I don't know how much time went by until I looked up again and saw that the door was open. It wasn't completely wide open but it was about 9 inches open. I asked the person if the door is meant to be open and they said "just a little". I asked them to please close it and they did. The rest of the time I was upset and full of emotions. I kept thinking to myself, how long was the door open? Did anyone see me? I heard men outside the room and although they could have been employees or guests I did not want to be seen or exposed to anyone else but my massager. I did end up telling the front desk about the door being open. And I mentioned that I was upset about it. I did say that I don't want the person getting in trouble for having the door open but I did ask for the receptionist to let them know that having the door open during a session isn't okay. At least not for me it isn't. This one thing completely ruined my experience and I was not able to relax which really sucked. If you've had a good experience here then great! But this was my first and definitely last time coming here. read more

When she got out she explained to me that her massage therapist didn't focus in the areas she had asked her to focus on, that the massage itself was lazy. My massage was amazing. Ann was my masseuse and she was so attentive to if the pressure was enough or too much for me. She stretched my body and got out a lot of tension in my upper back and neck. I've been to massage planet a few times and twice I've had Ann and I always go back because she's so good. I wanted a Swedish massage but deep tissue in some areas and she was great at feeling out where my tension was and she took great care of my muscles. Massage Planet is top notch for therapeutic massage in the Valley! They have an excellent staff of therapists and the management is very efficient! I have been able to call in a few times the same day and see the therapist of my choice. I have been so pleased and excited by the work we're doing that I don't want to see anyone else. Best of all, the facility is always clean with fresh smelling linens and tidy storage. The environment is very zen and appealing to all senses, most of the clientele are respectfully quiet as they navigate the hallway. There is usually ample free parking available in the lot visible from Ventura Blvd. The only flaw I find is that their services are undervalued, these prices are too affordable! I really liked my Lymphatic massage with Maria :) she was really attentive to my needs

I wanted to like this place since my husband has been here a few times. This was my third time Coming. The first time I went I had a good masseuse who was actually good but it was a prenatal massage. I ended up getting contractions about an hour later and ended up in labor and delivery. Luckily, my contractions stopped later that evening around 34 weeks pregnant. The second time I went, the masseuse was really good. The third time going...not so great. One thing that I would say about the place is their AC goes on every 10 minutes full blast into the rooms which makes you tense up because it gets so cold, between just being under the sheets and the lotion being applied on you. I believe I had a massage by Doreen. She was very sweet but i actually left disappointed. The last thing I really want to do is have a lot of conversation during a massage. She kept asking if the pressure was okay and that she just wanted to make sure I was comfortable, almost as if she was unsure of herself. I get she wanted to make sure I was comfortable but I was beginning to feel more uncomfortable with the questions. Also, the lotion left me cold from the sheets getting smothered in it. She focused on my upper neck a lot and had me sit up on the table; not really what I expected or would really expect when I'm trying to just relax. I went in without neck pain and two days later, my neck is stiff and in pain. I don't think the masseuses know the difference between Swedish and Thai massages. When it was time for me to turn over on my back, the only thing she focused on was my neck and a little bit on my hands. There was also a lot of talking and laughing coming from the front reception so not only did i have a masseuse talking to me but there was laughing and talking from the front. I'll be moving on to another massage place in the valley. read more

First time coming in. Went in for a Lymphatic Drainage 1 week post up tummy tuck. The receptionist was very nice and knowledgeable about the exact treatment I needed. Ana was my Masseuse and she did a great job. She really knows what she's doing. I was skeptical at first because lymphatic drainage message needs to be done by a licensed professional. She was it was a miss understanding, since we had an older Groupon and they had recently changed the fine print for summer. My husband was able to go and he is very thankful. I didn't even pay for it myself, it was a gift. They couldn't even just honor the $45 our friends paid for the Groupon towards something. They just said sorry we can't help you, even though its either Groupon or their fault for the miss print they should have found a way to honor it.
