I went here on a Groupon I had for 60 min. massage. The front desk lady was friendly & accommodating. Sara was my therapist & explained all the precautions taking place due to COVID. I have had many massages over the years & she was one of the best I ever had! I have "hot spots" on my body & she addressed them per what I asked. After it was over, she helped me up and told me to take my time getting dressed. She met me outside with business cards and info on their monthly wellness program, which I decided to join. It did not feel therapeutic or relaxing. The older female masseuse seemed to have no technique, was completely unrelaxing, I just wanted it over. Waste of time and money. She even asked me about my job in the middle. Weird. I was asked what areas to focus on and im not sure why because it was clearly ignored- no lower back at all and barely did the neck and shoulders more than 2 minutes. Left with a headache. read more

I had a Groupon to use. Made an appointment for the second massage I've had in my entire life. The first one was probably eight years ago. The Groupon included a one-hour massage plus a choice of one additional service: aromatherapy, hot stone or paraffin treatment (for the hands). I chose hot stone. This place is in Fernview Plaza on the north side of Olive between the fire station and the large strip mall at Olive and Fee Fee. It's on the second floor. The plaza has a chiropractic office, acute medical care center, Curves, AAA, nail salon, shoe repair and dentist. Upon arrival, I filled out a medical form. And actually, I entered through the chiropractic office door. The name is Committed to Health Chiropractic Center, http://www.committedtohealth.us/. So, they do physical therapy and other medical things in here, too. But the Massage Works website is: http://massageworks.bz/ Kathy came and got me from the reception area, and we went to a small room. On the way, I noticed lots of physical therapy equipment and exercise stuff. There was quiet restful music in the room. She explained how everything would work, which was extremely helpful. The hot stones were a nice addition to the massage. They weren't too hot and are used to promote relaxation. She first put them on my back (over a towel), and they sat there while she was doing other things. I had bit of a problem with my face down in that headrest thingy. I got really stuffed up and had to breathe through my mouth. Kathy said that was quite common, and she'd open up my sinuses when I turned over. And she did that. When I left, Kathy gave me a cup of water and suggested I drink a lot of water throughout the day to flush out things. And she gave me a couple coupons for discounted massages to share with friends. And they've got package options if you want to be a regular customer. All-in-all, a lovely experience. And I didn't have to GIVE them my Groupon, 'cause I gave her the number when I called for the appointment. Nice touch. read more

Originally, I found Massage Works through a local deal (Groupon, Living Social... one of them). It was a bit away from my house, but I figured that I could pop by on my way home from work and get a relaxing massage. Did I ever! Cathy was my therapist, and she just did a fabulous job. She really listened to what I was telling her in terms of problem areas and where I wanted her to focus. I was doing some jaw clenching (stress, you know), and my jaw and head were killing me. She did a lot of work on the area and it made me feel so much better. After the appointment, she sent me a handwritten thank you note and an offer for a follow-up $45 massage. I was getting myself squared away to move to London, and the stress, it was making itself known. I decided to make use of the offer, and she remembered me (after many months). She asked how my jaw was feeling and asked how I'd been since we last saw each other. If you're looking for an exceptional massage, take my word on this. Go see Cathy. She's great! read more

Such friendly customer service! My boyfriend recently purchased a Groupon for me to have a massage (if the girlfriend is happy, the boyfriend is happy) - so today was my appointment to redeem the voucher. I've had massages many times before, and have had my fair share of both good and bad. As far as massages go, I definitely give kudos on the experience I had here - my masseuse, Cathy, had magic hands and combined with the hot stone treatment I was receiving, I was definitely in heaven. The big cons to this location for me are really the atmosphere. In addition to providing massage services, this is also a chiropractic office - so things are little more... "clinical". When I get a massage, I'm generally looking to feel relaxed, pampered and luxurious - while I certainly felt that way with my eyes closed on the table, I did NOT feel that way when I was in the waiting room, on the way to the massage room and afterwards. The waiting room looks more like... a doctor's office. And the room, overhead, has a drop ceiling with florescent lights. Everything was SPARKLING clean, but you definitely did not feel like a day at the spa. So while I do highly recommend this location for some expert massage services, I do not necessarily recommend it if you are perhaps seeking to have a more "upscale" day with girlfriends or for something like a wedding party. Instead of doing a standard full body, she focused on my problem areas and I don't think Ive had a more successful massage working out the knots! I'll be back. read more

Fantastic massage experience....really competitive prices and the massage was a full 60 minutes vs many other businesses being around 50 minutes in reality. Ended up signing up to their twice-monthly plan for only $90/month. $45 for a 60 minute massage on a regular basis is a amazing price! I found them through Groupon as well. You get what you pay for I suppose. I was not impressed and won't be going back. The ambiance is pretty poor in my opinion, and I wasn't thrilled with the attitude of the staff while I was there. Used a Groupon for Massage Works and asked for a deep tissue and aromatherapy session. In the building, the massage rooms are situated next to therapy rooms and the walls are too thin, you can hear everything that is going on next door (not relaxing). The masseuse and the massage were average. The masseuse (and I wish I could remember her name) was very knowledgeable, but said "yeah there it was" as she felt each muscle relax and also called out the muscles she was working on; which did not make for a calming or relaxing experience. Then the CD player crapped out half way through the session, so all I had to focus on was her talking. Her nails were also so long that they continually scratched my neck as she worked on it (again, not relaxing). She completely forgot the aromatherapy part of the session. I guess I got what I paid for, but based on this experience I would not go back. read more
