Before Quita, I had 2 massages each with three other masseuses, and they were useless in decreasing my edema and pain. Post-op surgical lymphatic massage is completely different from lymphedema massage, and I would suggest you start early -- preferably within 48 hours of the surgery, definitely no later than a week. Quita knows well how to move the lymphatic fluid from the tissues back to the lymph node centers. She focuses on manual massage, not a lot of gimmicks. In addition, she helps you get into the right compression garments and teaches you what to expect. She is kind, compassionate, and really loves what she does. It shows in her results.
