I just recently signed back up for an Elite Membership @ the Pembroke Pines location, and I must say I couldn't be happier! There are so many competitors in this industry nowadays and after doing my research, Massage LiXe has reasonable pricing, choices of memberships and availability. I also requested Crystal for my 2nd appointment because she had amazing feedback on Yelp and Google' let me just say after today's session with her I understand why she is highly recommended! My husband booked me a 60 minute Swedish massage here and I really enjoyed it! The front desk lady checked me in and pointed to the bathrooms if I needed to use them before my massage and then the waiting area. The waiting area has 4 chairs and a tea and water station. The music in my opinion was way too loud and in some cases not very relaxing. Isabel was my masseuse and she was so sweet, explained everything to me clearly and asked me what my pressure preference was before she started. The massage was extremely relaxing! I did mentioned that I wanted the massage to be focused more on my back as opposed to legs and arms and I feel like that didn't happen. Gary is the absolute best; I do not enjoy talking during my 1 hour of relaxation and he brings the professionalism when he talks enough to keep you informed but not to the point where you're getting a massage and having to entertain conversations. Aside from that perk; he helps your body with all the knots it has, works hard to massage them out and continues to massage the area until comfort is felt. Decided to try out a couples massage on Valentine's Day and we had such a wonderful time! We did a 60-min Swedish massage and it was luxurious. Helenita was careful to make sure her pressure was just the right amount applied. Ann Marie worked on my boyfriend and she was able to single out and focus on his back problems right away. Overall place was super clean, there's a waiting room with chocolates and tea to help yourself to while you wait to be seen. Inside the room, the beds are heated and the music transports you to an outside paradise. I just came back from a Colorado snowboarding trip, and I discovered that a massage from this place is the perfect way to reset and prepare for going back to work. 10/10 you need to go here!! read more

1 Star -- Absolutely Awful Experience - I Had to Walk Out Mid-Massage I rarely write reviews, but my experience at Massage Lux was so bad, I feel obligated to warn others. The massage itself was terrible. The therapist seemed completely untrained and disinterested. There was no technique, no communication, and no effort to address any of the areas I requested. It felt more like someone halfheartedly rubbing lotion on me than a professional massage. It was so bad and uncomfortable that I actually had to walk out in the middle of the session -- something I've never done before in my life. After the appointment, I emailed the manager to explain how awful the experience was and to give them a chance to make things right. That was months ago, and I've heard nothing back. No response, no apology, nothing. Completely unprofessional. Save your time, money, and sanity -- go literally anywhere else. Massage Lux is a joke. read more

For Christmas 2021, I was given a gift certificate to MassageLuXe by a loved one. His reasoning was I could use it. Well, cue some months later, and he was absolutely right about me using it. I got back from Seattle, knackered and just having the post-vacation blues. I then decided it was time to use the darn certificate. That and my skin was dry, so I thought I'd double whammy it. Massage and facial for yours truly. A very much needed spa day. Thus, I called early in the week for a Saturday appointment. I was there before 3 PM and left sometime after 5 PM. Massage was first with Lee, then a facial with Fabiola. Both ladies were fabulous. I left their sessions feeling like a goddess. Moreover, I should add that this spa went above and beyond my expectations. For one thing, I checked in on Yelp and received an offer for a free foot scrub. They honored it. Woohoo! And then after my facial, because it was my first time there, they gave me 15 minutes free on a bed that massaged me all over. It was glorious! I came in a bundled bag of nerves and walked out reborn. I would honestly become a member if it weren't for the fact that I know me. I used to have a Massage Envy membership and it frankly went to waste. Way too many sessions for such a busy individual. I rather just pay a spa whenever I bother going to it, and believe me, I'll try sooner rather than later at MassageLuXe. They treated me so well and it's super close to me. read more

I had an amazing experience at Luxe. My first visit I had a full body massage for 90 minutes and it was worth every penny & every minute. My massage therapist was Eric, he asked me what my problem areas were ahead of time and even asked pressure preference. I fell asleep, I was that relaxed. My facialist was fabi and it was much needed, I had a facial with microdermabrasion & the color difference in my face was immediately noticeable. I was very pleased with my massage yesterday. The front desk staff are so friendly. They are so warm and personable. I would have hired them too. I was brought into a room to fill out my consent form. I was offered water and/or tea. I waited and finally was brought into the room to receive my massage. My masseuse was very good at relieving pressure in my back. He gave me some tips on how to beat the sitting at the computer too long blues. I was so relaxed after this massage. It just might be the best one I ever received. After my massage, I was brought into a room and received a bonus 15-minute hydroluxe massage. This is where you lay down and some sort of machine massages you at the pressure you wish. It was nice and relaxing. Last, it was explained to me what their membership entails. It sounds like a pretty good value. I did not sign up but probably will because I was so happy with my massage and the professionalism of the whole staff. read more

I received a massage with a add on as a gift and just made the appointment with Candice over the phone. When she answered she was very polite, welcoming and professional and asked if she could put me on a brief hold. I was on hold for less than 3 minutes. When she came back on I asked if I could have kanisha as my therapist and she politely explained that she no longer works there and than we discussed the other female therapists. Having good energy is very important to me and I decided on a therapist named Lee. Candice explained that I can partake in the complimentary hydro luxe massage after my massage. I also decided on the add on of aromatherapy. If the massage therapist is as good as the Candice than I should be happy with the outcome. I had to give my card info to hold the appointment. There is a 2 hour cancellation window prior to your actual appointment. In the event you are a no show or do not cancel than your card will be charged. I understand this because the therapist should not be out because of the client and may have turned away another client because mine was already booked. This policy tells me the salon has been burned before with bad mannered clients in the past. Normally I would not give my card info but I have the gift card and want to use it. They would not take the gift card number as the hold which I thought strange and a great way for the salon to double dip. I will see how it goes and will update my review with pics as well. So far so good. Here is my update after the massage. The spa is located in a shopping plaza and FYI Siri kept trying to take me back out to university. I have read the reviews and some past comments of the lack of guest services. My experience with the front desk was very good. Very sweet, very happy and polite people. They take you to a lounge area after check in and you have to sign release forms on a I Pad along with questions of how much pressure and which body parts you want skipped. I liked that. My massage therapist was ok. Her attitude was polite but forced if that makes sense. I asked for a deep pressure and paid for a add on of aromatherapy. She showed me a menu of aromatherapy and definitions of what each one does. She politely hurried me through that and put her opinion in my decision, the massage was just ok. I have been getting massages since I was 20 years old. Her massage was so obvious it was timed sections and her touch was more focused on strength of pressure than healing from her energy and hands AND the pressure. She was loud getting the lotions, she did apologize for that. I tried the hydro luxe massage bed after and it is pressured water. It was more annoying than relaxing and I ended that session after 10 minutes. I just know what a good massage should be and a good massage should have you light headed. Everything was just timed and hurried, forced and very obvious. I won't be back. Not worth the drive. Hope your massage is better than mine. read more

MassageLuxe is a great place to relax and get rubbed down. When we first arrived we were greeted and given water and chocolate. There's also tea bags in the waiting room for guests. The ambiance is very relaxing and the music makes you want to fall asleep. My masseuse's name was Ann-Marie. I highly recommend her. I came in with a sore hip and I left feeling brand new. The service was great and I don't have any complaints. I definitely will be coming back in the future. read more

(2nd visit-April) I got a nice Swedish massage but I wanted deep tissue and I was told that I would be put down for Swedish and then I could just tell my therapist and then she would do whatever I needed well she didn't. Now she's good at relaxing she knows how to relax you for sure 100% but she didn't get into any of the areas and she wouldn't even massage my scalp at the end even though I asked for it because she said that's an ad on I didn't want oil in my hair I just wanted a massage and normally they do that. I get to the front and they said yes tell your therapist and I was like I did so there's miscommunication. read more

I didn't have as great of a time as I have had in the past. Their service was kind and patient but the massage wasn't deep, as requested, and even when I requested the pressure be increased there was little to no change. It felt like I was being swept over and not massaged. It also wasn't equal--one hand would get a massage but the other wouldn't. I felt it was superficial and though not "rushed", per se, it wasn't as attentive as I have experienced in the past at this location. I purchased a gift card for my wife last year. When she went to use it they made her sign up for a membership to use it. The next month we received a charge on our credit card for the membership. When we questioned it they said it was what we signed it for and we said it wasn't we just wanted to use the gift card. We cancelled the membership at that Time and they still continue to bill our credit card. If you go to the bbb you will find many complaints about unauthorized charges to customers credit cards. Do not use this company and definitely DO NOT sign up for a membership!!! read more

I went for a 6 o'clock facial on 1/3 and the therapist was super late and my service did not begin until 6:30. I asked for a basic facial and the therapist mentioned to me I had a lot of hours. I told her that bc I have been a member for awhile I had accumulated over time. She did a mediocre 30 min facial and I was done by 7 because I had a massage. I was not going to complain about the time but I asked the front how many hours was used for the service she told me 2.5 hours for extra services rendered during my facial. That is absolutely ridiculous to use 2.5 hours for this service because not only did she start 30 minutes late but I did not ask / consent to any add ons and was not informed that she was using my hours. I asked the front to have the manager contact me and I have yet to hear back. It's not okay to use someone's hours without their consent. That is stealing. I can't remember the last time I had this bad of an experience with any business, not just a spa. I will never be back to this place. I booked a 90 minute sports massage at 11:30am. I arrived just after 11:20am and sat in the waiting area until 11:35 when the therapist finally came and got me. The massage started just before 11:40am and was done at 12:50pm. It was nothing close to a sports massage, but rather a standard deep tissue massage that you could get anywhere. When I told the girls at the front desk that I was displeased with the fact that I specially booked the sports massage and wasted my time and money, they tried to help. They offered for me to come back at the same intro rate and try a different therapist. When I was driving home I realized that my massage should still be happening and that it only lasted 70 minutes, I called back. I was told the manager was gone and that they were leaving a note for him/her to reach out to me about refunding the difference. That was on Friday and as of today (Tuesday) I haven't heard a thing. I just called in and waited for the "supervisor on duty" to try and say that I showed up late to the massage and that they are not able to refund anything, but I was welcome to pay for another massage with a different therapist. Awful, awful customer service. On top of that, when I demanded that the difference be refunded to my card, she went and spoke to the manager, who didn't care to come to the phone and actually manage. She came back and told me that they would refund the $320 difference between the 90 minute and 60 minute, but because of that , they would no longer honor a return visit at the intro rate that I was offered in the first place. This place is horribly run, doesn't know how to treat customers or be accountable to their own disfunction. There are plenty of good spas in the area that value their customers and do right by them. Do yourself a favor and go to one of those. This place is a joke. read more

Honestly, kind of a strange experience. Booked the massage while on vacation. I booked a 60 minute Swedish massage. Mind you, I have only had 2 other massages so I was really looking forward to this! I can't even tell you who the masseuse was because she never told me her name. She was nice enough, but the only question asked was if there were any places I wanted focus on, which was my back and shoulders. There was no discussion besides that- nothing about the temperature of the room, temperature of the bed, etc. The back/trapezoid massage was thorough- which was appreciated. However, the masseuse massaged each leg and arm for 30 seconds maximum and did not massage neither my hands nor feet. I was pretty disappointed- don't book here if you're looking for a full body massage. read more

Wasn't very impressed overall. I got a special for a couples massage for my wife for Christmas. We finally cashed it in 3 months later. Walking in for our appointment until we left we just never felt very welcome. Not much eye contact from the staff and just kinda felt like they didn't want us there. I got a deep tissue massage. The pressure was right but the lady was just really fast with her speed and very jerky with moving me around. Was hard to relax and enjoy sometimes. I felt the massage was cut short but I guess we failed to read the fine print. It was a 40 minute massage then 10 minute aqua massage. Not what I thought I was paying for but the aqua massage was actually rather enjoyable, more than I expected. I tipped cash at the end and asked if I could give it to the lady's directly, but the staff said no they are in sessions now and they would give it to them. I hope they got the tips. Then at the end there was a big pressure to get another massage or sign up for a membership. Just didn't really feel like the service was there to justify coming back honestly. My wife and I spent our honeymoon In Thailand 4 years ago and I think we were spoiled by being treated like royalty over there at their massage parlors.
