When I arrived I wondered around both floors of the building trying to find De Ivory Spa anywhere and it could not be found. The people I'd seen in the halls and asked they didn't know what I was talking about and said I was probably in the wrong building. I had called the number on their Yelp and it went straight to voicemail. I got a call back shortly after that from the massage therapist calling to confirm my appointment and I told her I was there trying to find it. The reviews saying that the person at the front desk was nice and helpful is a straight up lie. Paying up front for my massage was unusual, I had a $100 gift card that she took a picture of and then I had to scan a QR code that the massage therapist crated on her phone to pay the remaining balance, that seemed very sketchy to me. I booked a 90-min Thai massage and 1 hour into it very loud music started blasting from somewhere else in the building I could hear the words to the songs so clearly through the walls. My masseuse said "sorry there is a gym downstairs" basically shrugging it off because what else is she suppose to do it's not her fault and I don't blame her one bit for what a poor experience that whole "spa" is. If I was getting a Swedish massage the whole experience would have been ruined but since it was a deep tissue I wasn't relaxing anyways. I was massaged with a giant tub of coconut oil from costco. I question their sanitation practices as she was not wearing gloves and there was not a tool seen to get the coconut oil out other than her bare hands that touched all over my body and I'm sure countless others that have been to this "spa". Do not be fooled by the pictures on their Yelp or their website. If you're not looking for a spa experience and just a massage then this would probably do just fine but the way this places is marketed I feel ripped off. This was a gift to me and the gift giver was embarrassed to have sent me to this place.
