We were there last week. This place was awesome. The staff are friendly and able to cater to any level of shooter skill or need. I've been shooting since I was six and my girl had never handled a gun before she met me. This was her third trip to a range, all-time. Her first time was here, renting nice lil' 9millies. Her next gun experience was shooting a M-60 at a range in Vietnam (while on vacation). The selection of guns to rent to shoot looks like the basement bunker from Terminator 2. My girl and I rented a Barrett .50 rifle, a S&W .500 Magnum, and a no-shit full auto Tommy Gun. We asked for the most ridiculous guns they had, and they delivered. The Barrett was on my bucket-list, and worth every penny. The Tommy gun was more fun than bumper cars. The .500 Magnum can go kick rocks. What a stupid gun. Only 30 minutes from South Padre Island. Totally going again next time we're down there. read more

Have been visiting this range since 2016. Today I found the range run down! Disappointing with the facility. No maintenance or upgrades are being made. Mr. Massey & Gilbert, I enjoyed using the facility and talking to y'all but, it might be time to find another range! Kind of sad because the other ranges in Brownsville leave much to be desired. read more

First time at a gun range an definitely a great experience. Price is 18 per person or 30 for a couple which might sound like a lot to some but they provide free hearing and eye protection and free targets on the range unless you'd like to buy your own. Even free water and brownies! Lots of guns to rent and Mr. Massey is very knowledgeable. Very friendly and highly recommend to first time or veteran shooters. Depending on where you live, it can be a long drive but it's well worth it. I'll be going here exclusively regardless of how far I need to drive! read more

Gone downhill in recent months. Rifle range steel targets have not been replaced and are almost all gone. Grass is overgrown and you can't see paper targets on the few wooden stands they still have. Almost never have bullets in 9mm, .223 or .308, and very expensive reloads when they do. Rapid fire bays dangerously close to each other. Been going for 10+ years and have never seen it so run down. read more

Despite the distance you gotta travel to get to the range, its a great price 10 dollars for one person, 15 for an adult and child, 20 for an adult and 2 kids. If you don't own a weapon Mr Massey has weapons you can rent. Rapid fire is allowed. I have seen a vast variety of weapons here. Rifles, handguns, full auto. No restrictions like other ranges. But still always about safety, some lanes are designated for certain calibers or weapons. You will pass another range to get here but don't be fooled. When you get to the big yellow smiling face anchor on the right, turn right if youre going towards Boca Chica beach or left if your coming from the beach, go down the unpaved road for a few minutes and you'll find it. Always sign in first, leave your weapons locked in your car, and let Mr Massey know what you're gonna be firing. Please be safe and have fun. read more

I could not believe all the kindness that was going on in this place. I felt so at home and all the staff was extremely helpful and happy to have us. We had Dwayne out helping us the entire time. The main thing was educating and safety. The hospitality of this place was absolutely awesome. I'm from Chicago, but if we are ever back in the area I wouldn't go anywhere else. Dwayne was the sweetest most caring guy. I was a bit nervous at first but I had no reason at all. I was immediately comfortable. I could not recommend a better place for shooting. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Very conscious about safety and having a good time. They have several ranges depending on the type of firearm, segregating high powered rifles from .22s, for example. It is inexpensive, and you can save a couple of bucks by bringing your own targets. Though not required, I will bring my own staple gun next time. Be aware you have to travel about a quarter mile on a narrow dirt road to reach the location. read more

Great first time visit. Mr Massey is a knowledgeable with weapons/shooting. Very friendly and make you feel comfortable. We stopped by to find a place to target practice, and we found a great place! Went with my gf today and asked him about a problem I was having with a trigger pin. He checked my gun out and said they were too small for me to call the trigger company so they could send me new ones. Mr Massey then gave me one of his personal pins and said, "Just give it back when they send you yours".
