In april 2025 i applied for 8 hours behind the wheel for my wife ,she had her permit and used to drive overseas.The customer service at central avenue office asked us to wait september because they were busy with school classes.i went again on september ,but was disappointed when they said they are still busy with school students,so i asked to book the 8 hours next month in october and the answer was that they can not be sure of having my wife on schedule.Feel so sorry for wasting my time.before they used to be very reliable,i do not know what is wrong with that school.feel so sorry for master and sylvania driving school that used to be one of the best,but,Allas,no more. read more

Parent Pro Tip for "soon to be drivers".... Read "Master and Sylvania" drive time contract VERY VERY carefully!! 1) you have to sign the contact AND PAY for the time BEFORE they'll call you and schedule the drive time appointments. They REFUSE to discuss the schedule until you pay. Seems harmless though, right?? 2) "no refunds" in the contract Sure, why would you need a refund??? They are reputable. 3) they "guarantee" to provide the hours "within 6 months" of the contract. So ..... when they call you to schedule time (remember - you have already paid) and they can't schedule you in for over a month... and then you find another company who can get you in over the next two weeks .... NO REFUND. Oh, really? Yep really. You paid, they got you in less than 6 months. No refund. Surely a call will help. Nope. "Sorry, you signed the contract". Nice business model. read more

2nd child getting license, this was a horrible experience! Communication was terrible! We were never able to get a direct answer from the office with any questions we had. It appears that people that "KNOW ANYTHING" only work part-time hours (1-4). We received calls related to payments not being received, but had made payment all payment according to their instructions. Scheduling for in person classes changed locations the morning of the first day. Drive-Times were cancelled & drivers were late/didn't show & office did not know driver location or current status of missing driver until we called to ask about why driver had shown up. We have 1 more child to go & we will definitely be searching for a different driving school! (1 star because we had to give them something in order to post review) read more

Don't use this school! They are so disorganized in Toledo and are far behind in getting students their driving lessons. My son completed his classes and had to wait weeks to drive with an instructor. I think it's strange that they have offices in Napoleon, Defiance, and Bryan but no instructors. They take your money and then make you wait. They never told me that before they took my money. Go somewhere else unless you don't mind waiting a very long time. read more

My son completed courses online. We tried for over 6 months to get him scheduled for driving hours and each time I called I was told different information and not to call back. Rude staff! Business practices are highly unprofessional and unorganized. Their representatives are not accurate in what they divulge simply to get the business. They do not follow through on what they tell you verbally yet expect you to honor their contract when they are functioning unethically. This office would not honor what they told me when registering. And, it took me six months and 4 calls to get any monies in return less $50 from what I paid without them providing any services at all. There are too many options out their for driving schools. We are paid in full and have been calling and leaving voicemails for 2 months to schedule instructed driving, and getting no calls back.

HORRIBLE!!! Lost our payments, have to keep contacting them to get issue resolved. Have receipt of payment and still arguing with us. Would not recommend!!! read more

Overall, I think my kid got the driver's education he needed... when we began his lessons we lived clear out in Napoleon, and this was the only local place available to us. I'm writing this review because one of my son's driving instructors about gave him an anxiety attack because she was coughing during his entire driving session (during a huge spike in the COVID pandemic). I don't understand why this company would allow a sick instructor to work - in an enclosed car, for two hours at a time, during a pandemic. My son even sent me a text message before he got dropped off at home telling me that he thought maybe he should isolate himself from the family. To make matters worse, the company sent the same woman back later in the week for his final driving session. When his last session was over, she needed $6 from him for a document fee and he didn't have exact change, so instead of waiting for him to come in and get the money from me, she drove off and told him to just mail it. To where, we didn't know... or even why we needed to send it... so I called the main office to get the information, and the two people I spoke with there sounded exasperated to have to answer my questions. In short, everyone I dealt with that week was rude. Fast forward a week, my son - who is currently in online school and rarely ever leaves the house - has a fever, a sore throat, congestion, and a cough. Now the rest of the family is sick too, and we are all sitting here in isolation because we had to be COVID tested. Still waiting on the results. So... while I'm not saying that the driving instructor gave us COVID, I *am* saying that I would expect this company to run their business with more safety and integrity, especially right now. So I'm giving three stars to this company because my son seems to know how to drive now, which was the overall objective, but if I were to base my review on customer service and safety alone, they'd be lucky to get even one. read more

Amber, the staff, is very rude. I scheduled two hours but only received one hour instruction. I spent one hour and a half sitting the back seat and waiting for my turn after the other learner drove back to his home and the instructor drove back to the city of BG to start my lesson. When I communicated with Amber, I hoped she can make up for one hour lesson but she was very rude. I was panning to take more hours of driving lesson from this school. But I communicated with Amber, I decided that I would not have any connection with this school. Never recommend this school! read more

My daughter and son was scheduled w/this company and what we discussed after the driving hours they had was not well. First off the driving teachers' both of them on separate days never once went over the basics as in showing them the headlights/bright switches, wipers or anything they needed to show the BMV instructor they were educated on these tasks! the one teacher was so nonchalant about driving teaching that he would tell them to turn at the last moment and he advised them he can just nap while they drove!! I wouldn't pay for this again at least not here. read more

Very inconsistent classes with not so great instructors. Not only that, but whenever classes were canceled, I was never told or warned. My childs classes were supposed to be done in two weeks and it's now going to week 5 just to get 6 classes done! This is not the place to send your child if you're trying to get the classes done in a rush! read more

Lost paperwork multiple times. Employees can't tell the difference from a original or a copy.

Make sure that the student knows how to drive like a "3" which is their highest rating. They don't take ownership for the lack of professionalism and really don't care if you succeed or not. They have driving instructors that get away with yelling, being late, noneligible handwriting and basically you have to follow up with them as though you are not a paying customer. I wish that I would have not taken the referral to this place. If you are an experienced driver; over 50 hours then go for it, you may have better luck but if you are a beginner then stay away!! They should just offer the classroom and leave the driving to people that truly care about what you are doing wrong and help you to better yourself instead of tear you apart. RUN FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!! They will sign you up for classes and then cancel the entire class on your son or daughter without even notifying you. You just get to find out after driving your child to a class you assume they have!! As many of you know it's hard to rearrange a child's schedule that's in sports. Avoid this one. They do not teach initial driving - parents has to do that part. Once the training is finished, they will "mail" the certificate. To replace lost mail, this school wants another $20.00 and notarized statement. They waste our time & money for their irresponsible act. read more

Worst customer care and unorganized. They made so many mistakes with our son's scedule (he was sceduled for the wrong class 3x) and then acted as if it was our fault. Our son was 7 min late and the instructor locked the door and would not let him in so he had to make up the class again. The women at Masters said they don't have phone numbers to call these teachers but yet the owner called one the next week they made another flub. Owner,Barb, said she would apologize to our son and did not, said she would reimburse us in some way then did not call us back. Its been at least 3 weeks since the last callback and nothing...I guess the other review had it right, bad customer service and they have our money now so it does not matter. read more
