Huge warehouse type store wif every culinary tool, container, ice storage bins, potato tornado maker, measuring stuff, cake trays and whatever is associated wif restaurants and kitchens. I needed some new Pyrex type containers for a jello jiggler cooking demo and this store is convenient to get to wif pretty much no lines ever and a huge supply of bakeware. I spent $9 for 3 items! The selection isn't that grand, but not as bad as their lack of customer service. An employee kept following me around the packed-to-the-rim store eventually squeezing me out. I have come here twice over the years - both times to get a decent saute pan - I know what I want, I buy it, and away I go, so I cannot comment on what others have experienced who have spent more time shopping here. What I can say is both times I have experienced kind, quick and respectful service. Very rude customer service. They do not seem to like people who don't speak their language. Very unhelpful and unwelcoming. this store DOES NOT know how to do business. As stated on their receipt store credit only applies to cancellation/unprocessed orders. Absolutely ridiculous! I returned an item I bought IN STORE for store credit? When I brought that up to her, she completely just redirected me to the sign of her store policy hidden in the corner that states the exact same thing I questioned. She didn't even address. Why is that? She completely stole my $9!!! Fine. I got over it and needed a micro plane. Decided to go back and she tells me I need my original receipt. Okay. Totally normal. But I told her I left it at home she tells me "then I can't do anything about it. I need the original." So why jot down my name and telephone # the last time I came to return my item? What was the point of all that information? Thought of alternate ways that I can get my microplane today instead of trotting back over since it's not at all convenient. She keeps saying I need the original. Asked her about her policy and she tells me that if I want a refund I have to pay HER the restocking fee? Honestly WHY? all you're doing is putting back the item I bought onto the shelf and I'm gonna pay 15% for that? I call complete BS. I absolutely despise this store and how they treat customers and how vague their policies are and when you point them out she twists your words and makes you seem like you're wrong. Also, why make me stand there for 5 whole minutes behind a customer who couldn't make up their mind about what they want and have the 2nd cashier already ringing up a person's items WHILE they're shopping around. This is in response to another reviewer's complaint about the 15% restocking fee. Yes, it was disappointing, but I found the staff to be very nice about it. I only made a small purchase - $20 for a wok & lid which I could have easily put back on the shelf myself. I can understand the policy for larger purchases, but this seemed a little unfair. On the other hand, it was only $3. But my point is that both staff people I dealt with about the return were extremely nice. The first woman really wanted me to find another item to purchase, which I gather would have allowed me to avoid the penalty. The second woman, who calculated the fee, seemed genuine when she apologized to me about having to deduct it from my refund. I ended up going to 5 restaurant supply stores that day, looking for the right wok. I think this store was physically one of the most pleasant to be in - not cramped like the others. Since I was looking for only 1 very specific, prosaic item, I can't comment on the selection or pricing. read more

I was looking for it and I found it... They have an enormous selection of kitchen wares. Not much in the way of customer service but that was fine with me; They left me alone and I browsed around. Prices were pretty decent from what I could tell. I found wooden salad bowls here that were alot cheaper than a similiar store in the area. I will come here first the next time I need some kind of ladle, mixing bowl or wooden spoon for my kitchen. read more

Awful. Bought something that broke immediately after one use. Asked for a refund and was denied because they'd "lose money". This is on something less than $10. Poor customer service. They were so rude that I walked away offended and without a replacement. Shop elsewhere!!! read more

As a professional chef, I love this place. It's clean, big and the selection is great. As for the prices, for the first year they were open, it was 25% off your purchase, now it's 15%. Even before the discount they are some of the best prices in the city. I've always had great customer service. Treating people with respect goes a long way. read more
