A few years ago a close friend said her son was going to test out a taekwondo class and asked if I…read morewould want to take my daughter to try it. She absolutely loved it and we joined (for a year) after that first class. She had previously been in dance for 3 years and it just wasn't her thing. She almost always wants to go to class and has made friends there. Mr G is AMAZING. He is patient as can be with the kids but doesn't let them walk over him and ensures they're respectful (not interrupting, focusing, polite to others, saying sir and mam.) He is soon testing for his 6th degree black belt. The kids love him. The cost isn't bad at all considering your children can go 5-6 days a week most weeks if you want them to. My daughter went 4-5 days a week for a while, we did zoom classes during Covid, and have been back in person for a while now. We moved from Southpark where we were 10 mins from class and now are 25-30 WITHOUT traffic and it's been a year since moving and I still can't imagine switching her. We usually only go 2 days a week now usually because of the drive, but my daughter practices a lot at home too. Initially, equipment needed is minimal; however, if they're going to stick with it, you should invest in the gear. She gets to test for her black belt in September!

But Jeremy's kindness and patience and dedication to his craft is what made me need to review. Given the Delta variant surge, and the ability for vaccinated people to be carriers...I'm not in the best position to participate given my baby niece's immunocompromised status (who, as an infant, isn't vaccinated), and Jeremy worked with me to find a solution that helps me make sure my niece is safe and looked after, but making sure I knew the door stayed open for my own training. God bless TDT and their staff, and their members who go out of their way to motivate and encourage. Getting the blood pumping. The rest is technique. You will learn a lot of great stuff to use should you have to. Takes a while to get used to especially if you've never done it before, but you leave each class feeling exhilarated and more confident. Classes are offered 4x a week but you can set your own schedule so there is plenty of flexibility. Give it a shot
