Upon first signing up I was told I had to buy their gloves for "insurance purposes", most other kickboxing places I've researched usually give you gloves for free or you can buy them for $20 or so not $65. Also, my gloves got destroyed by my dog so I came to a few classes without and was asked what happened I told the instructor I ordered some off amazon, but was told I wasn't allowed to use them and that I'd have to buy new ones. This irritated me. Second, when I first signed up I was told there was a 2 month cancellation notice, I specifically asked if you could still use up those two months and was told yes. In other words, like most gym memberships I know you have to give 30 days notice to cancel if you're doing month to month, and every experience I had you could use up that last month you paid for. When I canceled today, I was told something different that you have to pay two months worth of dues to cancel and you can't use that time. I feel like I was duped.

I would not recommend if they use these business practices.

Starting with asking you to join the leadership program at a discounted rate which entitles you to fifteen minuets weapon training at the end of each class, ($ for the weapon of the month)however they never really used that time for weapon training they use that time to push bring a friend for buddy week and you get tickets for a raffle, so they can sucker someone else, you child will be doing everything wrong and they won't correct him, just the few that they see. I signed up for a three year contract, my fault and left after 2 years, then on top your child is pushed through the belt class regardless if they are ready or not just for that $40.00 testing fee. If you are dead set in sending your child to a karate class just watch the class and see exactly what they are doing and how many instructors they have, also ask for a six month contract first so when you see what I see your not trapped. Ask any of the students to explain the proper technique on how to throw a punch, kick or a block, they will show you a kick a block or a punch but will have no idea of what the technique behind it is, instead of using the time to teach and talk about technique it's used to talk to the class about recruiting new students. Beware
