Sometimes, you just want to get your hair done to feel good as well as look good. And let's face it, the better we look, the better we feel. So that's why I wanted to get my hair done while on vacation in Augusta. I found this spot here on Yelp, saw that it had all five star reviews, and had a good feeling about it. And my feeling was definitely right! They're certainly masters at what they do. I came in as a walk-in and my lady and I were greeted right away by one of the barbers. She said she had an opening after one more client, and I was more than okay with waiting, since I didn't have an appointment. I watched the five barbers and all of them were doing great work. They know their cuts and it shows. After about 15 minutes, India, my barber, was ready for me. I told her what I wanted, also asking for a beard trim, and she went right to work. She was very friendly too. I'll admit, I'm a talkbox when I'm getting my hair done, and I enjoyed talking with her. She asked me questions during the cut to make sure I was getting what I wanted. When I saw the finished product, I was VERY impressed. I looked better AND felt better! She did an amazing job on my hair on my beard. As for the price? Just $27 for it all ($26 plus $1 for a credit card payment). How can you beat that? Before I left, I told India I'll definitely come back next time I'm in town and in need of a cut. Master by name, masters by skill. If I find a spot like this back in Cincinnati, I'll be going there ALL the time. An expert cut and beard trim at an unbeatable price in a very laid back atmosphere. Mr Kenny gave Baby Boy (mixed kinky/curly) his first haircut and did an amazing job! We were so impressed by his great customer service and skills. He makes sure to educate you as well on how to care for and style your child's hair. I've never seen an 18 month old this clean!! He also did an amazing job shaping up my mother's (kinky/ curly) hair- better than any beauty shop she has ever been to, and for an amazing price! (This is my late review) Let me tell u about this barber place. Mr. Kenneth; the owner, and all of his team is what makes this place special. Everybody is welcome here, good environment, and not to mention their skills in cutting hair. I prefer jimmy and kenneth they the only ones been cutting my hair since I moved out here in 2017. The business has expanded to Waynesboro, GA too. Just another 20some minutes south of Augusta. If u feel like u want to go for a drive go for it, and go see their new place too. For people like me who love adventuring and driving, site seeing u can go their get a fresh cut. Just something to do if u happen to find Augusta boring. Haha but anyways check these boys out, they can really cut, and they keep up with the trends too so I'll add a picture of before and after once I go back y'all. Customer service is a plus. read more

I'm new to the area, just recently moved here. So a haircut was damn near my first impression to Augusta. All of the barbers here are really nice and welcoming. They have outgoing, optimistic and funny personalities. My barber was, Antwuan, he was really nice and gave me some tips on the area. I'd definitely recommend going. All of the barbers seemed to do a really good job after their clients were done. I scheduled an appointment online, at 2:15 and pretty much got served right on time! 5/5 Just a helpful tip, id highly recommend you to take cash!!! Antwuan thankfully saved me and used a card reader but you're not promised to be able to use a card! Definitely not an issue really. Just ironically the one rare day I don't have cash I should of. I was in town for a couple of weeks and I decided to go to some random Barber outside of the ft gordon gate. That was probably the worst idea I have had all year long... The dude pretty much cut all of my long hair off and gave me a painful, and really bad fade. After that I googled barbers in Augusta and master kutz came up so I rode over there, Kenny gave me one of the best fades I've ever gotten, and he was real cool and down to earth. I was watching the other barbers cut and they were all really good. This place is will be where I come everytime I'm in town. Thanks Kenny. They do razor skin fades, Oh plus I think they do like 5 dollar haircuts on Tuesday's. Which is crazy to me because they do a good ass job. read more

These guys are so legit. 15 bucks for a clean haircut and they take their time to make you look good. At first I was like I am the only Asian person here, can they deal with my type of hair? My barber Antwuan Mogan is an excellent barber. He is very professional and I have never had any issues with his work. The problems that I have encountered are with the individuals who come around the establishment and harass the females that are receiving services. My last visit there was an individual who came to my car and was in my car door it got to the point that I was getting ready to call the police. Now I am a professional that do not tolerate or will not tolerate this type of behavior. You should not have to worry about individuals harassing you when you are receiving services. If you are going to be a professional an operate a business and you want to keep your customers happy than you should not have this type of behavior going on at your establishment. I am a well known doctor within the community and it only takes just a word of mouth to inform individuals that this place is unsafe and not to go there to obtain services. I hate to say this but I will not be returning to this establishment. I have informed Antwuan of this decision and the reason why. I would hope that if you want to continue to have a successful business that you would make the necessary changes in order to continue to make this a successful business on the south side of town. There are only a limit amount of successful businesses on this side of town. At this point this establishment is falling through the cracks and it is sad that you have great barbers that are going down with it. I would like for you to think about this even though this is looking at it from a medical perspective but a hospital setting you do not have people hanging around that are not being seen by the hospital or seeing someone in the hospital and if you do security is on the scene to redirect these individuals. A business is ran the same way. Should you feel the need that you would like to discuss this manner further please feel free to contact me. Antwuan has my information. I would hope you address this issue as soon as possible before this manner gets worst. Due to this reason I rate this business actually less than a one star.
