Owner Donna Marie Vigilante offers a decent spread of fairly elementary classes, and she hosts out of town teachers of high quality. Not everyone will click with Vigilante or her teaching style, though, and the division of classes into levels is really rigid. Same with the studio's overall tone (see instructions to prospective students for an example [http://www.smokymountainyoga.com/logistics]). An even bigger problem is how some of the basic information on the studio site is confusing. It says Vigilante "completed her Anusara Teacher Training Program with Betsey Downing at the Garden of the Heart Yoga Center in Sarasota Florida in 2005," but she's not registered at any level according to the official Anusara site [http://www.anusara.com/index.php?option=com_contactmanager&view=teachers&layout=inspired&Itemid=129#list]. If you know yoga, you know Anusuara can be really cool. Maybe someday this studio will be too.

(I asked for drum circles, full and new moon ceremonies, ecstatic dance, hiking, disc golf, etc-at this location they do the first half of that list!) This will be my new permanent hangout and I just can't say enough good things about the people who own this place (Rachael and E), such amazing vibes, definitely my new soul family. They not only have amazing local products but they do not take a cut so the artists make 100% of what they sell a product for. They have a free young adult class to help those who struggle with mental health issues. They do all kinds of events all the time! (see photos) They have a tea/cacao bar occasionally too! While I was there some kids came in asking to see if the building (The Community Center) had a food pantry and since this tends to happen often enough, the owners started collecting canned goods and were able to give the kids a whole boxful right on the spot. When people talk a good talk, they often don't walk the walk. I would bet my life that these people never even attempt to talk the talk and that is because they are genuine human beings who live the walk. They are just the best and I cannot wait to join all the events here! And if it doesn't resonate to buy, you could always consider donating to this amazing place! I have been a member of National Fitness Center for 5 years and enjoy many aspects of the facility,…read morebut there are several areas where I believe the gym needs major improvement. The bathrooms, showers, and locker rooms are not cleaned consistently, and the overall cleanliness can vary considerably from one visit to the next. Paper towel dispensers are also frequently empty, which is frustrating and easily preventable with more consistent monitoring. The TV bank in the treadmill and elliptical area is another concern. Several TV's have been out of service for months and there doesn't appear to be a way to connect to the TV's or select a channel individually while using the treadmill or elliptical. Finally, new spin bikes arrived about a month ago, but they still haven't been put into service because the facility is waiting for parts to complete the installation in the spinning room. It would be nice to see a faster turnaround on getting new equipment available for members.

After showing up twice during manager hours with no one there they did allow me to cancel membership over phone Yes, I did sign policy even though in hindsight I should've seen the red flags and joined somewhere where policies are more accommodating and corporate isn't money hungry
