The other spas only had availability during my work hours so when I saw Foot Spa Massage was open until 10pm I thought to myself beggars can't be choosy and pulled up for a walk in. Although the outside looks a bit (in my opinion sketchy) to my surprise everything was on the up and up. Nicely lit for a cozy comfy vibe. Music playing at the right frequency to unwind after a long days work. The place was clean. I walked into a spotless treatment room that was private, quiet and inviting. Im not talking like it was luxury type spa but all the same it exceeded my expectations. The conclusions I made based on the exterior of the building faded when I was greeted at the front door. They were friendly, professional, and accommodating. Plus when I entered the treatment room there was a delicately placed rose on the bed (while it was faux) I still found it to be a nice touch. Now for the best part my masseur was AMAZING!!! I got 60 minute table massage and a 30 minute foot massage. Both equally relaxing and rejuvenating from head to toe. Nervous system reactivated with recharged circulation and new feet walking up out of there! And to think the name foot massage spa almost had me skip past this spot because I needed more then a foot massage. Don't be misled by the name! They offer stone, full body deep tissue, couples, and Swedish massages. If I wasn't stuck in Knoxville for work and looking for a reset I might have missed this spot. After my massage I was able to partake in some of the amenities like the sauna, and shower. One the showers apparently works as a steam room, but I was unable to figure that out. I wasn't aware of the spa hours and stayed past closing time (which I learned after the fact, opppsss!!!!). The staff never said anything and graciously allowed me to finish my spa experience. My only complaint is that the sauna and shower never got hot and there are other spas in town that offer more amenities at a comparable price. At check-in, I was told the salon could remove and redo dip, but once I was seated, the technician assigned to me couldn't, so I had to switch to gel. My package also included a full spa pedicure, but what I received was essentially just a polish -- no leg massage, no callus treatment. When I asked about it, I was told the tech had switched me to a gel pedicure, which doesn't include those services. I wasn't informed of the change beforehand. If I had been, I wouldn't have chosen a gel color, because the spa experience was what I had been looking forward to. The dip removal was rough. The tech struggled, my nails were left hacked up, and my tips dissolved in the process. I was told they didn't have the equipment to fix or replace them. After about an hour, I stopped the service because it was clear I'd need to go elsewhere to repair the damage -- an expense of roughly $100 on top of what was supposed to be a relaxing gifted day. The manager did waive the charge for the mani/pedi, but insisted the amount remain as a credit for a future visit rather than refund it. Since the spa day was a gift and I don't hold the original gift card, that credit is of no practical use to me -- and it doesn't offset what I'll spend elsewhere to repair the damage. Their position was that I should have told them ahead of time that I had tips. I did disclose my dip nails at check-in, and I wouldn't expect a nail salon to need advance notice to handle tips. Honestly, the manager's attitude and unwillingness to meaningfully make this right was as distressing to me as the damage to my nails. I won't be returning. If you're booking a facial or massage, you may have a fine experience. For anything nail-related, I'd recommend looking elsewhere.
