After the bad storms this winter, I noticed a small corner of trim had actually come off exposing the sheathing underneath. Fearing water damage, I called Connell Roofing who had put a new roof on our home 12 years ago (that looks as good as new), and did more modest trim replacement 6 years ago. Dennis and John were out the next day, reviewed all the trim around the house that had some damage, gave an estimate, and said they could start in only a week. While our house has sturdy cedar board siding, the trim boards are soft pine, and there were multiple areas of sunken wood consistent with rot underneath. The bad pine trim was to be replaced with PVC trim that will last a lifetime. When the day arrived for repair, Matt Cabral made another assessment and spotted a couple of additional trim areas that could be seen to need replacement now that all the snow was gone. Additionally he spotted that the chimney flashing needed replacement, and kept an eye on things as the work progressed. The team did a fantastic job removing the damaged pine trim and replacing it with the new PVC trim. It was clear they were experts and highly efficient.
