I would like to start this review by thanking Mr. Randy Masters and the rest of his team. I had NO IDEA that refinancing my house could go this smooth. I had constant contact from Randy, his Loan Officer, and his Client Relations Manager. Any question I had was answered thoroughly and quickly. I would even get phone calls from Randy just to see how things were going and to see if there was anything else I wanted/needed from his team. That's a personal touch that is all but unheard of in these times. The few times I did need to go in to the office I was impressed at how the team presented themselves. Everyone is dressed well and conducts themselves professionally. Even better than that, everyone looked like they genuinely enjoyed being there. The office space was always spotless. I can't imagine anyone not feeling comfortable here. All of my required paperwork was asked for up front. There was none of the usual "Oh, we also need this, this, and this" after I turned in the original list. It's nice to know that the level of organization and professionalism is as high as their level of customer service. I know how difficult it can be to get everything lined up to finish in time since there are multiple agencies involved in a refinance. But the Masters team must have been staying on top of everybody in the chain because my loan was completed right on time just as I was told it would be. With the way interest rates are at the moment it would be borderline foolish to not buy or refinance NOW! Having said that, I will never take my business to any other company. I rarely do reviews but I had to do a shout out for Masters Team Mortgage. I was considering refinancing to take advantage of the low rates, but since I already had a pretty good rate I was reluctant. I had several questions so I contacted Randy at MTM and he not only answered all my questions but took the time to learn my goals and educate me on my options. After our conversation I knew it was the right thing to do and Randy's team took it from there. Bailey was my loan processor and to say she was fast and efficient was an understatement. She kept me apprised of each step in the process and within two weeks my loan was completed and approved! But Bailey didn't stop there. She noticed I was paying a pretty high premium for my home owner's insurance so she volunteered to get me several quotes from various insurance companies to allow me to compare rates. I received a business card from Randy and Masters team Mortgage some time in the fall of 2020 at my front door. At that time I was contemplating refinancing my home since interest rates had been at their lowest. I had previously reached out to two other banks and their rates and closing costs didn't make sense in refinancing. I had ignored the first time I received the business card but then I received it a second time and thought...hey let's see what they can offer. After I contacted Randy he immediately had his team reach out to me and put together a loan option that I couldn't believe I would ever see, down one whole percent! I immediately jumped on it and the rest is history. I received a great rate with a reasonable closing cost. All the transactions were over email, communication was clear, responsive and very professional. Randy also took it upon himself to check with me on the process here and there to make sure everything was running smoothly. The process in itself did however take longer than I thought so perhaps that's something that could've been better in the whole experience. But nevertheless I'm very happy with the outcome. Disappointed with extremely slow response. I trusted on all the good reviews and put in my faith for financing for my very first home with Masters Team Mortgage. 1: Applied and sent all requested documents on 5/11/2020 2: After long wait and several follow ups on updates - got the pre-approved letter on 5/23 3: On 5/25 Put in an offer for a lovely place in Rocklin 4: 5/27: Offer got accepted Started following up with Masters team to start the underwriting approval process, received some communication initially but then it went all quiet. Kept on following up to provide us an update on what is going on. Whenever we were able to receive a response it all was same - "We are waiting for an update from our underwriter". on 6/4 - Sent an email asking for a response by noon of 6/5 stating that if no response is provided we would not proceed further. Got a call from MTM saying that we would certainly receive an update by the specified time. No response received on 6/5 till 2 PM and requested our realtor to start the offer withdrawal process risking the earnest money. Extremely disappointed!! Lost faith in such unprofessional circumstances - how would a long term relationship last with a lender if in the beginning itself the company shows such apathy to someone's dream home! Happy for people who got good service but I would stay away from this company. read more

I receive mailers from this company regularly with a note from Randy and his business card enclosed. Today's note had a particular offer I was interested in so I telephoned the number on the card. I was hung up. No greeting. Answered, waited a moment or two, probably listening to my bustling family getting started on homework and after school things, and then hung up, without a word. I called again and after the greeting on this call, I advised about the hang up. It was acknowledged that I was hung up followed by what was I after by calling. So much for customer service.
