I loved the haircut I had at this place, but my experience with a perm wasn't so great. It was my first time getting a perm (back in August), I have fine hair, but dye free. When the perm chemicals were added I had burning, I told the hairdresser about the burning, I know some burning was expected so I thought I had to rough it out, the hairdresser didn't check on my scalp, which I think was her duty to do so. The perm was alright, a few pieces were straight which I noticed when I got home. Once I was home I had.burning so I got my sister to check my scalp, she noticed bad chemical burns on the right side of my scalp, my skin was red, raw, and peeling. In a day or two I noticed stubble patches in a few spots, which suggested my hair was yanked, I didn't pay it much attention, but now that the hair is growing back I have patches of hair that are sticking out and look really bad. This place also pushes their products a bit aggressively as well. I should have done a bit more homework in regards to perms, I could have got cheaper drug store shampoos, but I got stuck with expensive salon products. I just wish the hairdresser was honest with me, I'm sure she noticed the burns and the strands of hair that got pulled, instead I was charged 200+ for a careless job. I'm giving them 3 stars, because my other experiences with this place weren't bad. read more

very disappointing experience! Especially dealing with the owner, Diane. Her main concern was to sell those products, and would definitely stretch the truth to do so. I went o masters touch hair salon to have my hair coloured. I had colour and hi lites that were grown approx. 6 months so my hair had sort of a ombre look (so I was told) I had hair stylist Lucille who was very friendly with me and offered me a consultation. She stated that she new what I was looking for as I was very specific. I wanted my new hilites and colour to simply match what had grown out. Stylist brought out swatches/samples and talked up a storm about how the outcome would be spot on. I returned for my booked appointment and left with essentially the same look I came in with. I immediately looked in mirror and told stylist I was unhappy and she very quickly agreed and booked a fixer upper appointment. I had specifically told the stylist that when I return to work I would like people to notice my hair color. I approached several coworkers who after seriously observing my hair telling me "I cant tell but the bottom has some hilites." (bottom was the growth from 6 months ago.) I went for my so called "redo" and brought a picture even. Stylist assured me this was a mistake and she knew how to fix it........told me I was in for a 45 min visit but instead took 2 hrs and 28 mins. I left with the top of my head an orangy blond mess. Not hi lights! Not a consistant colour just raw pigment that I call orange! She then became unfriendly and asked aloud infront of other patrons "what do you want me to do then?" I thought I was paying the professional? She then agreed to see me later on same day when I returned she said she did not have time and maybe another stylist could see me this is at 5 pm .....I was told to return at 6 pm and I agreed. I receive a phone call at 5;40 telling me to get back to salon. I accommodate and arrive I am met by another stylist who tells me all they are offering me is to tone my hitlites to a darker color. AT NO POINT ARE THESE LADIES TELLING ME HERE IS YOU MONEY BACK!!!!!! But admitting verbalising "it is orange" "I can see why you are not happy" "this was my miscommunication." Second stylist even admits to first stylists mistakes...meanwhile I'm about to cry and just hoping they will fix my hair as I am walking around with a bandana on. Finally I am so very upset looking in the mirror I say maybe I should fix this myself? to which both stylists answer "ok" and smile as I leave. I'm out 220$ ...I have had a couple of color stylists look at my hair and on even offered to just advise me how to fix it with out charge. Every one including friends and stylists I have consulted are shocked at the state of my hair. I forgot to add this earlier 2nd stylist even had the gall to say "WELL ITS NOT THAT BAD EITHER." Are those the words you want to hear out of a hair stylists mouth? ever? I have left a message to this salon asking they reimburse my money or atleast fix my hair and tomorrow it will be a week with no response..... I am upset that after all this mistreatment I remained friendly and hoped for solution but instead I was dismissed. Should one throw a tantrum or call BBB....I feel like being polite just didn't get me anywhere. I will now have to cover up my 200$ hair botch with more cost to me. These two ladies I had the encounter with were not professional. They were very nice to me before they had my money but unfortunately I was not important after my hair did not work out. I have been a customer for 20+ years. I am always treated with respect. I have a team on my hair. One for colour, another for cut and style. Yes I find them pricey, but you get what you pay for. As far as shampoo, I am not a fan of paying those high prices. They do have specialty shampoos for special hair and scalp issues that have helped me. read more

I started coming here when I moved here from Alberta about 15 years ago. I stopped briefly when I moved again and decided it was too far to go. After several attempts to find my "colour" with local stylists, I went back and am now a regular again even though it means a 40 minute drive. They are more than willing to tweak the shade and make you happy. Haircuts and styles are also carefully done. Great atmosphere. read more
