My experience with Glenn (owner) was up and down from the get go. He is extremely friendly in a genuin way. Unfortunately that doesn't help my yard or my pocket. I recently moved into a new home that came with an array of beautiful plants and flowers etc. Front and back were well maintained and beautiful. The landscaper the owner had doing it before had moved on to a corporate landscaping situation so I had to find someone new. I was really nervous to use my old guy as I had only seen him do a standard yard. I was fearful that the plants would be cut wrong or ruined etc. So I searched and found Glenn. He has a degree in botany and absolutely knows his plants, trees and flowers. He came over with his very nice wife to do a walk through so he could get me a quote. I explained what I wanted exactly and his wife assured me that he would do it as I liked. During the walk through I had my husband and the owner's brother with me for the part where I explained I really need the wall ivy cut as it's getting heavy and I am afraid it will all fall. It had already started to fall in a small area. The owners brother even explained how far back it should be cut etc. I told him this was my top priority. A few days later I finally get a quote of $55/ hour and it would take 3-4 hours. I was pretty floored because the front and back yards are pretty small. They were a little grown out but nothing crazy, not many weeds...nothing obscene by any means. We have a lot of beautiful plants etc. but I could not fathom it taken that long. However, I felt based on what they said that it would get done exactly as I asked and the plants would be taken care of so it would be worth it. So I agreed. The day he came they got to work at around 12:00 pm. by 2:15 I got up and looked in the back yard and noticed that nothing looked different. I went to the front and the 1 guy he brought with him was still blowing out the front. Everything in the front was cut except the Aloe Vera plants that were huge and we had discussed him cutting them back during the walk through. No go. Didn't do it at all. So then I started to worry. If we are 2 hours 15 minutes into the work and only the front yard is done (which had very little to do in the grand sceme of things...how long would the back take? Well..they didn't cut back the wall ivy or do any edging or cutting back of the ground plants in the back. They did around the pool though. The one plant I said I didn't want cut, they chopped into an odd square shape...it's not meant to be that way. I was pretty upset about that. Let me put it this way. My daughter got home and went and looked in the backyard then turned to me and said... I thought the yard guy came...the front looks done...did they not do the back? I just laughed. They told me they would clean out the pool but my pool is full of leaves etc...worse than I have ever seen. So now I am going to be spending hours trying to get all of it out. I don't even know where it all came from. It's sitting at the bottom of my pool. When I addressed the ivy his answer was tugging on it to show me it wouldn't fall. Even though it had fallen in the other area. I wanted it cut but I guess it's his yard not mine. I address the aloe vera and he said other clients got really mad at him for cutting them back and cutting the flowers. I am not other clients and explained what I wanted in the walk through. So with all of this said, he is not worth it. My regular guy would have done and extremely better job for half the price...maybe not half but $70 less for sure. I am so disappointed that my backyard (my main priority) was hardly done. I think the problem was...he brought one guy and he himself moves at snail pace. I think he realized he was running out of time so my back yard paid the price. I would never recommend this person to anyone. Not for who he is, but for the work he did. Now I have to pay more money to get the job..actually done. He might have a degree in botany but that doesn't mean he will do a good job on your yard. read more

We have been using Glenn for many years for our monthly yard clean up, plant and tree trimming. We have always been happy with his work and have never had any issues at all. Recently, I hired him to redo our landscaping, including building a decorative brick border, bringing in rock/dirt, and letting him choose the plants he thought would be the most hardy and colorful in both our back and front yard. Glenn did such a phenomenal job with my yard!! He did my yard over a year ago but due to circumstances I wasn't able to keep it up for the past year, so, needless to say, it was huge mess. Lots of weeds of course, one tree in need of some TLC, overgrown bushes, of which two big ones had taken a tumble in the last rain storm due to being so top heavy. Just a horrible mess and I'm sure my neighbors were not happy with me. Glenn came by, gave me an estimate and we scheduled a date. He and his helper were here first thing in the morning and set to work. I was off to work but stayed in touch with him via text. He told me my yard looked great and WOW...was he right!! It's absolutely beautiful!! This is a man you can trust!! I also had an issue with a leak and he recommended someone who came today and all is fixed with that leak that no one else could ever manage. I've used Glenn (owner) and his crew for the past year after receiving a glowing recommendation from a neighbor. I am so pleased to find him since he has done a fantastic job on my yard. Very friendly, knowledgeable, and treats my yard like his own. When plants are flowering he is conservative with his trimming to allow me to enjoy the beauty before cutting back. His rates are very competitive too based on the companies I hired previous to him. He will be first to tell you, he is hard of hearing so... I text him the tasks I want done.
