We found ourself with a dead palm and a two cypress trees that were in major need of trimming. I utilized handy dandy Yelp projects and ArborCraft Tree Service reached out promptly on scheduling a time to drop by for an estimate. They were able to get me in next day, which was awesome. The window they gave me was a little big, but I was working from home that day and had the flexibility, but not sure if thats typical. Regardless, they came out, were able to give me a quote on site, offered military discount, as well as cash discount. The price the quoted was extremely reasonable and came under the previous quote I had, not ot mention, Clayton who came out for the quote was extremely knowledgable of the foliage, which seemed like a great sign. I received the quote via email, signed off and had the office reach out the next day to schedule me. They were able to get us in the next day. The team came out the following morning, there were four of them, right on time and prepared for the job. We went over the scope of work, remove and grind down the dead palm and clean up the two cypress. They did a great job and the team was extremely efficient. They cleaned up after and honestly, I never would have guessed we had a palm before! The cypress are much better. They were not able to get to the very top, as the trees are extremely tall, I do not know if that is commonplace, as this was my first time needing these type of services, but still look 10x better than they started. One of our cypress was being choked by vines growing into it, so needed to be significantly cut back and fingers crossed it bounces back. I would definitely recommend them to anyone with similar needs. They do not do additional landscaping and are specifically arborists, but great for similar projects. read more

I've hired this company several times for tree trimmings since they're often the most reasonably priced. I requested a different crew the last time since I wasn't 100% happy with their work previously..(they over pruned and nearly killed my jacaranda tree) and was still sent the same crew. Communication is not their strong point, but the work performed was still..just ok. They once again over pruned. I suggest watching the whole time and pointing out specifically what you want cut or they will go overboard. read more

We had tree pruning done today on 2 Mesquite trees and 1 Acacia. Luis and Gustavo did the work and we would like to recommend them to anyone. They showed up on time and interacted well as we explained how we wanted the trees trimmed back to maintainable sizes. They cleaned up all the cut limbs before they left. We understand this pair had 5 jobs today so definitely they are hard workers. Our large pine tree died like many in the area. It was very important to us that we had a licensed, bonded, and insured company cut it down because it sat between our house and our neighbors house along a fence line. Arbor Craft said they would match any other licensed, bonded, and insured companies that we got quotes from, and they did. The company did a great job working with us and also took off the original amount from when they trimmed the tree. Although we are disappointed our tree did not survive, we appreciate Arbor Craft making it right. They were quick to get us on the calendar and the crew showed up on time. We watched them work carefully and they did a great job making sure there was no property damage and that the crew stayed safe. After, they left our house and our neighbors house very clean. They cleaned off our roofs, blew off our kids swingset, and our patio furniture. We also had a special request that the crew cut off a little chunk of pinecones that we wanted to keep and they did a great job making it look nice for us. Really appreciate these guys. They came out, took the time to actually diagnose what was going on with our palm trees, and set us up with an annual treatment plan that makes sense. The original work we had done was exceptional but the next time we used their services not so much. We requested them to come out to trim the tree, which was done and we paid them the quoted price. After they left, one of our neighbors noticed that the stump of the tree was cracking. When I called back they send someone out and said the tree would have to be removed and it would cost another $900. How does that happen? ArborCraft was called to remove a dead Japanese Pagoda tree. The problem: It was located in a raised brick circular planter, surrounded by brick flooring, in a courtyard, very close to three different rooflines. We watched the entire time. Robert (I think that was his name) and his crew managed to remove our tree with no damage to the planter, the brick flooring, the roof or gutters, or surrounding plants and lights. Amazing. Very professional - this guy knew what he was doing. His crew was very efficient at assisting and clean-up. We were very pleased. I will use this company again. Highly recommend. read more

UPDATE: Max from Arborcraft followed up with me and sent out AZ Power Wash Pros that did a great job on my driveway; they told me it was the worst stain they had ever treated (!), and that it had penetrated several layers of the concrete. It looks like the stains are gone but they were happy to come back out if they reappear. Max also sent out a new crew headed by Robert to grind down two of the stumps that had been left by the previous crew. Robert and his crew were very patient and thorough, they did a great job. Doesn't get worse than this! They left a mess; ripped a pvc pipe out of the wall, left oil and sawdust all over my driveway, debris everywhere, palm fronts left in the bushes, i could go on and on! Miguel pressured me to sign off on a "walkthrough and inspection" the second i walked out the door. Zero accountability. When i asked the owner why my palms still looked so messy and had pieces hanging/ falling off, he said, oh that's extra! I said, OK I would've happily paid extra. He said oh, there's no way for us to know if those pieces are going to be under the palm fronds. My palm trees were not overgrown. I said well I would've been happy to had i been given the option. Instead, I'm just stuck with palm trees that still look terrible and have stuff falling off of them already? Oh we will fix it he says! For free! Out of the kindness of my heart! They only did fix two out of the four palms, and still did a half hearted job. They "forgot" one of the trees that was on the invoice and begrudgingly trimmed it only after I called the owner. The owner also offered to do a small bush for free, but they didn't grind the stump so now I just have a broken ankle waiting to happen. There's a reason they give the lowest bids. You get what you pay for, which is a bigger mess than what you started with an zero accountability. Oh, and communicating all this to the owner prompted him to tell me at least five or six times that everybody else just loves his crew and I'm the only one who has an issue with how they operate and treat customers. TERRIBLE. I paid ArborCraft $300 to remove a tree that was growing in the ground next to a fence that separates my property from my neighbors. I called "professionals" because I did not want to damage the fence digging it out of the ground. AC came by, cut down the tree, covered the ground with mulch and left. They were here maybe 10 minutes. The tree is still there. Simply awful. Avoid. read more

From Patricia, who answered the phone and did scheduling to Anthony, the Arborist, to the crew that came and trimmed, pruned and cleaned up after the 5 trees that we had done, it was all terrific. (We will have them back to prune & shape the citrus in Jan/Feb when it's appropriate to do so). They did a good job and price! However, I asked them to send a letter to an H.O.A. stating that the tree is stable and not going to fall on the condo and they said NO!! WTF! I paid $550 to trim that tree. Not like I asked to guarantee it would never fall!! Not happy and will never use them again!!! I called Arborcraft to trim a three-tree acacia grove and a large mesquite tree at my home in Phoenix. Burt visited and promptly provided a thorough estimate with a competitive price. Patricia provided patient scheduling assistance as part of her great customer service. The members of Crew 2.5 did everything right. They arrived on time, knew the job requirements, and communicated well. Robert answered all our questions and accepted all our suggestions, except the one which he helpfully advised would have a negative impact on the appearance of the tree. Mauricio handled the large acacia branches safely and made quick work of them. The crew completely removed all debris and then provided advice on maintaining the trees. They were a pleasure to work with, and I highly recommend the company that employs them. Additionally, Arborcraft gives customers extra protection by providing workers compensation insurance to its crews. Most landscape companies don't do this because it increases their cost of doing business. They also left the yard cleaner than when they found it! Everything about ArborCraft is amazing. I have a 22 year old home that I bought 3 years ago. It has 22 year old trees including awful sissoo trees that are way overgrown. Clayton came out and walked through my entire yard and gave an honest assessment of what they can trim back, what will die and what needed to be removed. He gave me a detailed estimate that while competitive in cost, was thorough and far superior in detail. He earned my business. His team came out and as you can see in the photos, this was no small job. I had two very large Ficus trees in my very small backyard. Both died last summer and they looked terrible.
