Where do I begin? Dr. Jon is the most intuitive practitioner I have ever encountered. Our son had been struggling with asthma, due to underdeveloped airways and scar tissue in his lower lobes. He was put on asmanex daily and for two years that "worked" until it didn't. Our child no longer had energy, he was lethargic and lost his drive completely. I couldn't figure out what was wrong but I figured it must be his lungs. Something told me to read the insert and what I found was his symptoms were the potential bad side effects of asmanex. We scheduled a sick visit with his pulmonologist and explained our concerns. She agreed to stop the medication but said that she felt it was an infection and sent us to the pediatrician to run a full blood panel, check thyroid and to screen for lyme. She also said that if it was a side effect of the medication we would see the difference in 48 hours. She wanted to recheck his pulmonary function test in a month and start him on a new daily medication. We left that appointment determined to find an alternative to medicating. We saw our pediatrician the same day, she ran all the bloodwork for everything she thought could possibly cause his lethargy. She called us in 48 hours and said that his bloodwork was normal and nothing was wrong. Well within 24 hours of stopping the medication asmanex our son had his spunky energy back but his lungs were still struggling. We talked to Dr. Jon and he said he wanted to run a blood panel and see what was going on. After getting the results he gave us herbs to have him take daily and suggested dietary changes to battle inflammation. In just a couple short days, our child was no longer short of breath, did not need his rescue inhaler when going to MMA, Circus and hiking. Today we followed up with the pulmonologist and she did the pulmonary function test. His pulmonary function test was better than he has ever had. " In 20 years of working I have never seen such improvement off medication. What ever you are doing keep doing it and we will see you in 3 months. " Dr. Jon is not your "typical" chiropractor who just adjusts you and sends you on your way. I was always very skeptical about seeing a chiropractor, afraid of anyone "cracking" my neck, back, etc. That was until Sep-2015 when I was referred to Dr. Jon by a friend. Having suffered for years with lower back pain, and the on again off again spasms from a previous bulging disk, I decided to take a chance.
