The problem with this is that he doesn't take notes and you end up having to retell your health situation over again to Dr. Scribner. I typically have a good relationship with my health care providers; so I was surprised that I could not relate to Dr. Scribner. He was unavailable on every level. I found Dr. Scribner to be cold, disinterested and unhelpful. I talked to others - this is a very small town - who shared with me that they had like experiences and recommended other providers who were actually warm and relateable. I would not recommend Dr. Scribner; his attitude and lack of bedside manner leaves one feeling like they don't actually have a doctor. And, if you owe anything on your account, you will be hounded relentlessly by daily phone calls, voicemails and emails. I guess his patient load isn't so big that his staff has plenty of time to pester patients over small amounts. One star is one star too many.

I visited the office of Dr. John Scribner, MD last week to get a sore on my hand treated. All of…read morethe nurses and staff I encountered were pleasant and efficient. Since I had been to this office twice before in the last five years, I was not surprised by the doctor's youthful appearance as he entered the exam room. I was again impressed by his caring and compassion. He asked relevant questions and listened intently to my answers. After his examination of the sore he informed me that I needed to have a simple surgical procedure to remove it and also told me that some people would rather have something like this taken care of by a dermatologist. He asked what I would prefer. I asked when he could do it and he said that he could take care of it in the next few minutes. I was impressed that I wouldn't have to make another appointment and return on a different day. I gave consent for the surgery, the nurse set up everything that was needed, and the procedure was done in a very short time. The wound is now healing nicely and I don't anticipate any problems. Dr. Scribner is a valuable asset to this community.

From the moment I walked in the building I could tell I was working with professionals. The staff was attentive and friendly the entire time. Once I met Dr. Sullivan and described my situation he developed a treatment program and set up my next appointment. The doctor was casual, reassuring and I could tell he cared. The next day that mattress was picked up and fully refunded. The following morning, ditto, so I left a message for Dr G (who had never seen me) at 5am. He personally returned my call at 7am and saw me at 10am--THAT's caring. His treatment was gentle and effective. Wow, thank you!!! I felt the doctor was not listening to my concerns and that my sole purpose was to help pay the office's overhead. I got a recommendation for a new doctor who had just joined one of the Baxter Health clinics. Dr Chesley Murphy provides excellent and compassionate care. He takes the time to listen and talk through various treatment options. In my case, based on initial blood test results, he recommended I see Dr Zak (another excellent doctor) for further evaluation. After further testing I was diagnosed with CMML, an uncommon form of leukemia. I owe this diagnosis and continued treatment to Dr Murphy.
