I cannot say enough wonderful things about Best Learning Center after school learning academy! From…read morethe moment I walked in, I knew this was a place that truly prioritizes the growth and academic excellence of each student. The teachers are incredibly attentive, taking the time to understand the unique needs and strengths of every student. Their passion for teaching is so evident, and they go above and beyond to make learning fun, engaging, and meaningful. My 1st grader misses his teacher Ms. Emily when either one of them miss a day. It's clear that the center is dedicated to fostering a deep understanding of the subjects they cover, rather than just rote memorization. My child has not only improved academically but has also developed a deeper love of learning. One of the things that stands out the most is the supportive and focused atmosphere. The other children in attendance are equally driven and committed to their studies, which creates a positive, motivating environment. It's a space where kids feel comfortable asking questions, collaborating with peers, and doing their very best. Best Learning Center has truly made a difference in my child's academic journey, and I couldn't be more grateful! I highly recommend it to any parent looking for a nurturing, effective after-school program. Special Notes- 1. They are open on additional non-school days (sometimes). 2. They are open until 6pm which helps with my long commute. 3. They have transportation, but are also very close to Arovista Elementary. 4. They match school hours, even early release Wednesdays. 5. Easy to make payment and communicate with Brandon, the learning center director.

One of the most convenient things is that they pick up the kids directly after school -- they are always on time, professional, and make safety a top priority. The teachers truly care and take the time to help with homework, making sure each student understands the material. My daughter has shown amazing improvement with her extra math tutoring, and her confidence has grown so much because of the support she receives here. I'm incredibly grateful for this program and highly recommend it to any parent looking for a safe, clean, and nurturing environment with dedicated teachers who genuinely want their students to succeed

We are a returning family and had a great experience last summer, which is why this was so…read moredisappointing. This summer, we learned that our daughter was disciplined by being made to stand against the wall as a "time out" for running around the center. This was never disclosed to us as part of the school's discipline policy, and we were not informed at the time it happened, we only found out because our daughter mentioned it. Even more concerning, our daughter told us another child was made to stand against the wall as well, and was reportedly told "who told you you could sit down" when he tried to sit. We don't know every detail of that second incident, but if true, it points to a culture of discipline that relies on humiliation and intimidation rather than positive guidance. We've reported this formally and are waiting on a response. A call was promised today (7/2/26) however, I have not received a call yet. Until we see real accountability and a change in disciplinary practices, we can't recommend this school anymore.

Elite is probably the most radical choice for your childrens' SAT/ACT needs, but if you're not…read morewilling to pay the thousands of dollars for tuition and your child will be unable to handle nearly 5 hours of work, you'll have to think twice. Elite is known to be a extreme form of a cram school similar to that of those in Asia, to instruct children to prepare for the SAT/ACT. It's a common thing everyday to walk into this place, you'll see portraits of very few kids smiling with a list of them getting incredibly high scores, in which also show which school they are attending now, and slogans for success and information about ivy league schools. I get it, this is to show that they've had success educating kids and they're mighty fine proud of that, but let's be honest, it is a little demeaning for other students struggling to make ends meet. In fact, I've overheard a parent teacher conference with the headmaster of this place (I will not say the name for confidentiality), and believe me, I've never heard so much bad mouthing about the student behind his back, such as how he/she is going to fail school and is never going to go to a "good" (which in their level is a Ivy League) school and he'll end up getting a job after high school. In addition, when I had my child go here, the workload was just unbelievable; I don't know whose idea it was, but he/she practically made my child work 5-6 hours on SAT prep material instead of the same school work that takes my child to college (also, if he failed to bring it, he would be subjected to detention/push ups/"demerits"). What is really disturbing is that there are also video cameras in each room and monitored by the staff; I don't care if it there was a stabbing long time ago, it's pretty invasive. Speaking of colleges, these people also look down on students who have no intentions of attending either UC or Ivy Leagues, regardless of the reason. With all due respect, what I really think these people can try to improve on is their perception on reality and realize these students are just kids who are/aren't suited for the tremendous work load provided; does stuffing millions of questions and answers really help? Because I guarantee not every kid they see holds the 300 IQ they are dreaming about. Despite my tone, don't boycott or spit at the headmaster, because even I know these people are trying very hard to trickle one child to get into yale and princeton and it's really difficult to handle a bunch of kids (for the record, I was a tutor for a after school program and THAT was no easy job), especially for the headmaster, who has to deal with few troublemakers; but they should at least give a damn about those who won't make it to the big leagues or have troubles instead of berating them and casting them on the side so the vultures can pick them. Bottom line? Parents, send your children here if you truly fear that your children may not become the next CEO, doctor, lawyer, etc., because this place is the 911 for that emergency; I will not lie that these people will literally work their fingers to the bone to stuff gargantuan amounts of assignments to show to you they really mean business, and that they are probably even better than any SAT/ACT prep schools. However, be cautious, because if you know your child is already struggling with the workload he/she has from school, then plan on your own discretion.

I couldn't agree more with the previous post. They are a big company so they use marketing tools…read moreand money to attract customers. What they should do is spend on more qualified teachers. Instead of handing out work, they should have knowledgeable teachers who can pass on third knowledge instead of just having them grade papers. Try smaller academies in the area instead. There are more places who care about the students, not making money off of them.

The owners, professors, and coaches have cultivated a superb gym culture. This gym is safe, friendly, and supportive. The facility is modern and clean, and they've invested in a foam block subfloor beneath the mats for softer landings. As far as I know, this is the only gym in the area that offers women-only classes four times per week and a bi-monthly community open mat for gentlemen 40 years and older. My kids train here after school 4-5 days a week, and they love it. The kids' professors and coaches are experienced and amazing teachers. I'm especially thankful for the young coaches who were so patient and kind to my boys when they were hesitant and shy after first starting. And my pocketbook is especially thankful for the discounted rates for additional family members. If you're looking for a place where the whole family can train, grow, and feel welcome, I can't recommend Teragi highly enough.

I've been to places where it seemed salesy or lacking authenticity. Teragi Academy is a place where they genuinely practice and instill jiu jitsu and its culture of honor and regard of others. The promotion of belts is carried out quarterly and only awarded based on merit. This is also something I greatly appreciate because I know many establishments that give out promotions for no reason at all. Since day one, the professors and coaches of this gym have been patient and meticulous in teaching techniques to the kids. Teragi has been instrumental in providing confidence as well as self awareness for my son. I've seen many of the other kids mature in their own ways for the past 2 years. It's always a wonder to see everyone come up together. For myself and my family, we seen so much growth and discipline in our boy. There's a comfort in knowing that our child is not left helpless and able to stand up himself as well as for others. I've been watching in the sidelines, two to three times a week, for the last 2 years. This is a program that provides a worthwhile experience. The benefit and journey is well worth the investment for anyone, young or old.
