It's not a religious school, for some weird reason some classes get recorded when they're doing the pledge (again, I don't know why or surpiringsly how.) And every day they have teacher awards. The MPR is really big, I think it's about 10-11 inches and normal MPRs I think are like 8-9 inches, final thing they have 2 playgrounds one is really small (Recess Playground) and a huge playground that reaches 20 inches (I think, that we play at Lunch Recess) There are a few good teachers, but I didn't like Ms. Gardner a first grade teacher if she still works here, she was a teenager but now I suspect she is a young adult but so yeah, it's a great school!

It's amazing what an impact this facility has had on the progression from my son. The tutors are very patient with the children, and they keep you fully in the loop about what the children are excelling with and what needs to be addressed a bit more. His grades in school radically improved, and when he's focused on what he's doing he flies through the take home assignments. He's gained more confidence in his capabilities and isn't afraid to ask questions. Very positive experience.

My father-in-law, whom I consider one of the smartest men I've ever met (attorney and real estate mogul), encouraged me to sign up my daughter for Kumon. He said it's all about repetition, and he was right. Kumon has been a trusted math and reading tutoring system that has been around for 50 years. My daughter started when she was 3 1/2 years old, and she has already exceeded my expectations 100 percent. Kumon is an after school program too, so a child or teen any age can benefit from it. Each center is individually owned, and I really like this one on Silverado Ranch. The lead instructor is Michael Morrison, and he runs the center. The first step is to call him at the center and he will set up an appointment to assess your child. When Grace was assessed, he does at when the center is not doing any tutoring, and he can meet with my daughter and myself. You can choose either math or reading or both. We chose to do both, there is a monthly payment plan, but we choose to pay 6 months in advance and received a discount, coming to $1500 total. We are finishing up our first 6 months and will be signing up again. It is totally worth it, I feel my daughter has a huge academic edge already. We plan to complete the entire course over the years to come. At this tutor center, I am pleased with our tutor. My daughter goes to Kumon twice a week for 30-50 min, and always sees the same tutor Ms. Freya. We love Ms Freya! She is very professional, friendly and keeps the little ones on task in a nice manner. My daughter seems to learn a lot from her and listen to her. Overall, this center seems to have consistent tutors with very little turnover. That says a lot about Micheal, he must be a good leader to his team. Parents can wait in the lobby, there is a glass so we can see our kids hard at work and keeps everything done with our kids in plain view. that means a lot to over-protective moms like me. Lastly, I would like to point out that us as parents have to be involved with their Kumon work. There is homework, and if your Kids are as young as mine, you must be with them to help them through all the homework. If your kids are older, they are more independent with their homework. Thank you Michael and Ms. Freya for expanding Grace's math and reading skills. She is starting off on the right foot, and is building great foundation study habits.

Between the absolutely magical staff and the science behind how and what they teach, I couldn't have asked for more. My daughter already had an affinity for math, but what has stood out most is how much confidence and independence she's gained here. She now works through problems with ease, explains her reasoning clearly, and takes pride in solving things on her own without immediately asking for help. The Mathnasium approach really works--the balance of drills, refining skills, and stretching students to do better feels like the best kind of sports coaching for the mind. I chose to have her follow Mathnasium's provided curriculum instead of sending in what we were doing at home, and I can say without a doubt that there's something special about it. Her progress has been incredible, and it's clear that the program is designed to build both skills and love for the subject. On top of that, the staff has been nothing short of amazing. Nick and Michael have patiently answered every "silly" question I've had, accommodated a short leave when we needed it, always kept me updated on her progress, and overall been absolute gems to talk to. It went so well that Math Dadd helped my daughter throughout her four years in high school. He was instrumental in providing her the extra time she needed each week.
