We have a daughter who is a sophomore at CU Boulder in Chemical Engineering who we realized could also use a tutor for Calculus. My 16 year old found out she was going to see Ben also and said "oh you'll really like him. He's great. He's funny and very helpful at explaining things." Folks, if that doesn't say it all I don't know what does. I tried to act cool, but as a parent, its nice to hear your teenager really likes their tutors. We are very happy to have found Mindfish.

She was below grade level and miserable by middle school. Many times (within the few sessions we have been there) we have witnessed people needing help and she chooses to remain oblivious. Only been in a handful of times and there are not enough tutors attending to students. Employees in attendance looks sufficient, yet there seems to be at least one tutor in the back while students sit waiting for help or grading. Both times we have been here there is one tutor hopping from one student to another and attending to walk-ins while one or more other tutors are not to be seen. Seriously considering a refund request and its only been a few visits.

Despite our best efforts Christin was still able to identify a few grammatical errors, instances of passive voice, as well as confusing tenses in the same paragraph. In addition to her technical acumen, Christin is a really sweet person. She was patient and read through multiple revisions. Her criticisms were so gentle that I didn't even mind them and I'm usually a sensitive person. Yes, observing COVID regulations is (importantly) about individual and public health--but your compliance and care have positively affected our children's education, socialization, and our sanity because classes and the school can stay OPEN. Quarantine is costly and a big pain for all. There are multiple reasons behind different actions that are not in front of folks for them to see and understand. So while it shouldn't be necessary, in addition to all the hoops you've jumped through to make things work, thank you also for explaining to those who have a strong opinion and may not always understand "why". Also, my 4 year old has been attending since he was 1, and he loves his teachers and classmates. He's doing very well in school. We love that they provide meals (less work for parents) and have widely available hours (with some reasonable adjustments during COVID due to staffing & ratio requirements).

We can easily reach them by email, phone, or text whenever we have questions or concerns. More often than not, we receive a response the same day, and if not, by the next day. We have even received updates and communications on weekends. All six of my children attend this wonderful school, and we have had a great experience.
