We also adore Ms. Clara and the other teaching aids. They are all wonderful with kids and model kindness, patience, and respect for others. The location is perfect - 19 acres of playground, rolling fields, and a paved area for the tricycles! This is great for our high energy 4-year-old! We also appreciate that Norwood Park Preschool has plenty of opportunities for parent involvement, with lots of flexibility for working parents whose time is limited. We are happy to have another year left with our middle child, and three years at Norwood with our youngest. This is a school that honors the fleeting, precious nature of childhood - kids can play, learn, and grow out in nature and among new, diverse friends. It is a gem of a school and we feel very blessed to have found it!

What a magical place to send a preschooler. The teachers are nurturing, kind, innovative, creative, and fun. They bring enthusiasm to the children every single day with a curriculum that teaches through play. The teachers have a deep understanding and appreciation of the age group they are working with. BCC Nursery School is a parent run cooperative preschool where parents have such a rare opportunity to participate in their child's foundation of learning. The small community is made up of parents and teachers that respect and encourage children. This philosophy is fostered through the teachers--they care so much about the individual development of each child. Children are kindergarten ready in ways of socialization and basic academics. The school is set in beautiful Norwood park and the teachers take full advantage of incorporating the green space into the curriculum. Observing the changes of the seasons, exploring bugs, marking shadows to determine how the sun moves around the earth--wow--and so much more. The kids spend loads of time outside. Each day begins outside with more time outdoors midday during recess. The front office is always so friendly and helpful. What we loved most was that this felt like a place where our daughter was known. I've met a lot of friends myself through Manor, as well. A very useful service Connie's provides is an online communication tool that logs each child's activities. Through the ledger, we know exactly what and how much food our child eats, when and how many times diapers are changed, how long he plays outside. In addition, Connie's also shares photos of children activities through google drive monthly. These features really give us peace of mind and the ease to keep a good record of our child's growth. Last but not least, Connie's is affordable. We are happy to see that the family care is now authorized to accept up to 12 children from the current 8.
