Anyplace that is able to make two hours of math enjoyable for my child, who albeit solid in math, really prefers reading and artistic pursuits gets high marks from me. They are able to explain the concepts in a clear, child friendly way. We use the center as more of a challenge activity to preview future concepts coming up in the year or next grade, but they make it fun enough that I don't get any complaints about going despite her already doing fine in school. read more

I have referred multiple friends/family members to the program. Chris is very friendly and easy to work with. He understands the craziness of the kids' activities after school so he's super flexible in making things work for us. I have looked into multiple places and I have to say Chris is the only one that will make this happen for us. Other than helping the kids advance in math, he is willing to take the time to help my child better understand her homework and study for her school test. When I told him she was still struggling he immediately scheduled a one on one for her to study for her test that was scheduled the next day, she was so confident in taking the test she scored higher than a 90%. On top of that Chris scheduled an extra session to have her reassessed as he felt she may be struggling in several areas and needed her material adjusted. I'm extremely happy and impressed with this Mathnasium and Chris in particular. He goes above and beyond to ensure that your child's needs are met snd that they receive the tutoring to achieve the skills that they need. Initially I thought that $300 a month was in the higher level of costs, but now I could care less as I now consider it a necessity as it's worth every penny. The experience and the results are anything short of amazing. Chris is extremely knowledgeable, he's honest, responsive and accommodating. He always puts so much effort and is sincere in helping the kids acquire the skills needed to improve. My son is breezing through math like a whiz this year, he's been getting all 4's (highest for elementary) on his assessments and never asks for extra help anymore. He tells me that the math here is harder than at school and it is such a major difference from last year prior to our enrollment. If you really value and prioritize education, and can afford the costs to enroll, I highly recommend anyone to do so. Went to Mathnasium to get my son prep for a math placement exam at his new private school. Chris, the manager or owner, is a wonderful guy. I would say he went above and beyond what was expected to help my son succeed. My 12 year old started attending a few months ago in December and even though it's been a short period of time I can already see the difference. My kids love going to Mathnasium. My husband and I wanted our kids to learn and advance in math concepts as it has changed a bit since our days. They are getting that and more! They have great incentives (they earn points that turn into cards that turn into prizes) to motivate the student's to come in and work hard. They even have fun contests to earn extra cards. My 2 boys started Mathnasium @ Temple City about two years ago and they have made tremendous improvements on their math. The Mathnasium customized learning plan allows them to work at their individual level and build the strong foundation on their math. Within 4 months enrolling, they are able to move a grade up. Chris and Joann have passion for the kids and Chris always say our job as parents is to provide the kids with opportunity for them to thrive. Our son had been struggling with math the past couple of years, especially with virtual schooling. Grades were down and we were having constant arguments about homework.
