Now we are finally starting to see improvement! Staff here is amazing and very involved. I can honestly say I feel like they all really care about my sons success! They're all so involved and helpful! Michael and Phyllis specifically have played a big role in helping my son get all the extra help he needs. My son actually likes coming here twice a week! They also offer a number of different discounts, which is nice! The environment is clean, colorful, and classroom like. I like how they welcome each student my placing a welcome sign in the front lobby, it's a nice touch. They also make happy birthday signs for the kids on their birthdays. It's cute to see the kids faces light up when they see they're name posted in the lobby. This place is well worth every dime you pay and then some! The daily practice and twice weekly sessions have helped him tremendously. Even beyond that, he enjoys the subjects. He loves all of the teachers/assistants he's worked with. His first teacher was Geli, and he was so devastated when she graduated and was no longer working there. He truly bonded with her and grew attached. Luckily, he then worked with Annanya who he now admires as well. Mr. Chen always updates me on his progress & is truly invested in each child's success. My son has come home with at least 4 certificates in the short time he has been here. I'm so thankful we found this program and stuck with it!

We're in the bathroom when you were called on stage during rehearsal. How dare you, better not defend yourself. The workers are nice up until the end and then no matter how good you're doing they become impossible. I feel lucky I aged out and can't return because I don't think I could manage being in another show. Another note. They recently lowered the age to enter the teen show and expected the tweens to act with the maturity and awareness of high schoolers. A standard while not impossible is difficult to meet.

There seems to be concerning…read moreissues and signs of neglect: - Leaving young children behind on campus during a trip off-campus - ⁠Taking elementary children to visit potentially unsafe locations (e.g. nursing homes that seems to house convicted sex offenders for crimes against minors) - Aggressively pushing NDAs on parents for wanting to pull their kids, preventing them from sharing specific events and experiences - Asking for full-year tuition when parents express reasons for wanting to withdraw their children (e.g. kids are struggling to adjust or if parents simply have concerns that were not addressed) - Terminating families and kicking kids out of school abruptly without providing a reason, citing "termination for convenience" in retaliation, if parents express questions or concerns about the academic setting or safety. - Giving a peanut product to a kids with allergies/intolerances - Sending utterly unprofessional emails to parents belittling their former teachers and the families who left, seemingly in an attempt to justify their actions and convince families to stay. Making strange remarks about funding challenges in such emails and claiming "they don't have an associated church to help them like other schools". - Excluding children from "rewards" or "special activities" if they didn't contribute to fundraising or if they didn't contribute enough, by setting a "goal/price tag" to certain rewards, creating division and emotional stress among children all ages. - Punishing children by not allowing them play during recess when they think they are misbehaving or not performing enough academically. - Giving children a hard time if they need to use the bathroom during class. In my personal experience, there sure is an effort for marketing, like many photos of smiling children posted on social media. But I would advise everyone to pause for a moment before signing anything. These are based on my personal experiences and the experiences that I was informed of by other parents. My opinion is that everybody should have an education attorney review the the contracts/papers provided by this place before signing anything and conduct a thorough research on these issues and talk to other parents who pulled their children.

She's engaging and makes the sessions fun for our daughter. Jasmine is local, but given the current environment she teaches our daughter online. Unlike other online programs where there may be a language barrier between the teacher and student, the ease with which Jasmine switches from English to Chinese and vice versa makes the lessons so much more effective. Moreover, the students feel heard and understood so there isn't a lot of time wasted on misunderstandings. During the lessons, Jasmine always stays focused and gently keeps my daughter on task. She has learned more with Jasmine in the last 6 months than she did in the last couple of years at Chinese school. I found Jasmine and was so glad I did! We had twice weekly Zoom sessions and she was very well worth it. She was patient with me and walked me through a workbook. While most languages can be learned through an app or book, the tonality of Cantonese is VERY important. Are you saying horse or mother, the number four or dead. Tones matter so having a teacher to give you feedback right on the spot is so valuable. I went back to school and still work my full time job so I don't get to have as many lessons as I want. We were assigned Ms Cortney and she is absolutely AMAZING. He's catching up to where he needs to be and that spark in him and his passion for learning came back.
