My kids have been going here since August & are actually happy and psyched about it! Which, obviously this place is awesome, because for elementary kids to be jazzed about doing more Math, it has to be something special! The environment is so friendly, supportive & positive! I gotta give credit to Bastian! He's fantastic, welcoming & connects with these students. Prior to choosing Mathnasium I looked into Kumon as well and had my kids assessed there too. I can say that while Kumon was cheaper, the assessment of my kids was majorly underwhelming. I was told how extremely behind they were, which I knew was not true. It made my kids feel bad. Kumon also required pages and pages of homework. My kids felt the place was creepy. Not for us! Mathnasium sold me on the approach of targeting areas and working on a well rounded picture, while allowing a little time at the end for kids to show their current homework & make sure they're on the right track! I love receiving emails when my kids have completed mastery checks on skills & when they level up! My kids also love getting "stars" and completing "cards" to receive rewards, from chapstick to Disney tickets (depending on how much they save up for). The fun environment is great! It's still quiet & kids are focused. There is strategy building and game play too. It is worth the money if you can afford it! I wish I had this when I was a kid! read more

My kids have been going here for a little over a year and look forward to going. The staff here is very attentive, fun and encouraging! They know exactly where your kid is at, and can patiently teach them. My kids are always happy when they leave because they enjoy being around the teachers- they create such a fun atmosphere. Mathnasium has been amazing for my family. The staff there really accommodates to the level of my kid, and the learning is very individualized. There are a lot of assessments, but it's helpful because your kid isn't being drilled on things they know, but can move forward at their own speed. everything is reinforced. Mostly- the teachers have been amazing and my kids like going! ( I have a 6th and 9th grader).worth every penny. Not bad! Very nice employees that show that they genuinely care. Met some nice people. Very good management. My issue is how repetitive the concepts were. Nothing ever moved on. I was doing tons of worksheets on the same thing. The game time was uncomfortable. I never really liked math so I wanted to get in and out. This is a fun and engaging place for both kids and teens to learn maths and also improve their math skills. Our daughter looks forward to her sessions, and we enjoy the flexibility of being able to drop in whenever it's convenient for us (instead of having to adhere to a strict/fixed schedule). My daughter has started the program here for about 4 months now. Her math skills did get better, and she loves going to the class, if she can go there everyday, she would! I think it is mainly because she likes the tutors and the achievable reward systems (treats & prices). The tutors are very patience and kind, and their curriculum is pretty broad, e.g., she will be working on multiple topics simultaneously every class for her grade level, and get tested every 3 months for all the skills mastered.
