We were referred to Merrill Educational Center by our neuropsychologist at Golden State Neuropsychology, and it was one of the best recommendations we've ever received. Even though we live out of state, Nicole and Lynne worked with us over Zoom, making it possible for our son to receive the instruction he desperately needed. They used the Lindamood-Bell Seeing Stars® program along with Direct Reading Therapy, and the progress has been incredible. At the time I was going into fire and paramedics. Taking anatomy and physio was very hard and I was not doing amazing. However, I started learning how to advocate for myself and how to do school. And I and Melia started talking about life and college and how she was my new guide's counselor as she was helping me. Over the next year and a half. I realized that I was not wanting to go into that field. Talking with Melia I was able to be honest and she was the first person that I was honest with about that. I changed my degree and felt empowered to make that huge change and excited for the new adventure. We made a game plan and I walked across the stage with two degrees AS, and AA, and two certifications as well.
