My son has been coming here for over 2 years. At first it was just to boost his math scores (and because his friends were going), but now he actually enjoys it. They somehow make math fun, which I didn't think was possible. Math has actually become one of his strengths, and he's now learning with a grade above at school. The coaches are professional but also very approachable, and we've had a great experience with all of them. Ms. Ling (manager for this location) has been always so helpful whenever we need to freeze a few weeks due to traveling or have any questions, she's always so pleasant too. Mathnasium has no set class time. You can drop your child off anytime during their open hours, and the session starts when they check in. We don't have to stress about making a strict 3 pm or 4 pm start time, which works really well with our schedule. There's boba, lots of restaurants, and even a dog grooming spot in the same complex so we'll grab dinner, have a quick boba date, or get our dog groomed while waiting. Moved to Irvine last year, I enrolled my 7th and 6th graders in January this year with two goals: get the 6th grader into Enhanced Math 7/8 and get the 7th grader into the Summer Bridge. Well, today we got the emails that both goals have been accomplished! This center really helped them. *****Everyone Loves Math!***** Don't you love the countless hours of babysitting and explaining math to your child? Don't you love the frustration hour after hour? Don't you love seeing the "C" on the test after all those hours of work and frustration? Well, not me. My child was good at math until the shift down. She was stuck in her room learning math via Google classroom and no showing of work on how to get to the answers was available. I took emergency action and got some help to get her going. Mathnasium was not open during this time. Now, to keep my child's game up, she comes here at her convenience and can keep bugging the people until she gets it. She so sees her friends here that helps. I don't know much about what's going on at this place. I just know it's working and all I have to do is drop her off. A bonus about this location is that they have Dunkin' Donuts, several eateries, a tea shop and a hair salon. So, if you are hanging around for an hour for your kid, you have stuff to do. read more

I have two children enrolled in Woodbridge Mathnasium. I am thrilled and grateful for the Center's hands on instruction and attention to my children's math development. We are new to IUSD and Chance Robles walked me through what to expect math curriculum wise in the district, what Mathnasium could do relative to IUSD, and what Mathnasium could do beyond the school curriculum. For years, I have been searching for a program that would make sure my sons were learning each and evey concept and not having any holes in their foundational math skills. Other programs were teaching advanced concepts, yes, however, they were moving too quickly and not mastering the concepts before moving on. A few crucial points as to why Mathnasium has been, by far, the most productive, helpful and throrough math program we have been in. - They make sure each child masters each mathematical concept before moving on through mystery checks. - Children go at their own pace, which is important to make sure they learn and master concepts. - Low student to instructor ratio. The instructors can give more individualized attention to each student. - Detailed report on their progress! This blew me away and I am so appreciative that the staff takes the time to send in progress reports and mastery check reports! You can see in percentages where your child is in learning and mastering each concept. - Fun incentives and motivators to have the kids complete worksheets and advance in their math journey. - They are aligned with the IUSD Math Patways Curriculum which is crucial for entry in UCs.
