The two stars is for the truly amazing care that Dr.Patel offers at this practice. After being highly recommended I scheduled an apt 4 months in advance to switch my PCP. The appointment was efficient and covered all of my many needs. I also got blood work in-house and then was sent on my way. Shortly after I was billed over $400 for my visit as the service was considered not covered by my insurance. Note: I had called and cleared the dr by insurance prior to my visit. After calling my insurance they said they would work with the Hackensack to adjust, after a few months it was adjusted again but still over $200. I repeated the process again it was $152. My insurance is still confirming that this should be covered as it is my annual well visit by a PCP. I am still receiving bills however when I sign into mychart there is zero balance, yet on Hackensack billing portal there is the $152 balance. When I call Hackensack billing they also say I have no balance, yet they are still mailing me bills for all difference amounts ($15.45, and $152). It has now been over 4 months and I still cannot get the insurance and Hackensack group to align and am unfortunately never going to be able to see Dr.Patel again due to these struggles.

Dr. Demarco is absolutely amazing. Great doctor, bedside manner and overall really helpful. I'm…read moregiving this office 2 stars because of the incompetence that is the front desk. 1- They say their office hours are from 8:00AM - 4:00PM and are closed 1:00PM - 2:00PM for lunch. I had an urgent situation and called for an hour starting at 8:00AM. Someone did not answer until 9:30AM. They said they would call me back and hours went by. I called again at 2:00PM because their machine says out from 1-2 for lunch. It is now 3:00 and their office is "still closed." I suppose since they close at 4:00, I will not be getting my call back today. 2- They only accept cash (sketchy and terribly inconvenient considering its 2016). Oh, and fax only as well. 3- Some of the women at the front desk are nice but others are completely rude. 4- Every time I have ever gone to see the doctor, I arrive 15 minutes early. I wind up getting seen an hour or so after that. Again, not the doctors fault, but the people at the front desk. Unfortunately I will have to switch doctors because this just isn't working for me.

Although…read morethe waiting room is under construction, they pack 'em in on the weekend with the sick kids. They're also the only location in Hoboken open on Sundays now for Pediatrics, so get in there early if you want to be seen - it gets busy fast and you could wait a while. There's an adult section upstairs, too, so that's efficient if you both need a bit of care for getting sick at the same time as the little ones. Downside - Hoboken parking is a mess. So walk over or Lyft it if you can, otherwise you may need to get parking lots or search for street parking. Pro - associated with the other Riverside Medical Group locations, relatively portable records between the service locations.

In just a few minutes I immediately got a sense of the kind of experience to expect with this office: After waiting on call hold for about 5 minutes, someone picked up the line and immediately hung up! In astonishment, I proceeded to check the online reviews for this office, and low and behold, just about every review was 2 stars or lower with complaints about poor customer service, poor appointment management, and poor experiences with the staff. So, I'm taking this initial experience as a warning and confirmation of these poor reviews and looking for a different provider. Nothing is more precious than your health and your time. Doctors aren't paid pennies. So, if they can't at least get their reception in order to provide patients with good service, then they aren't worth the business!

DO NOT GO HERE Went…read morehere for a few months. After more than 6 appointments, these guys are always AT LEAST 30 minutes late for EVERY appointment. Twice I had to wait well over an hour. Doesn't mater day or time. Never once even CLOSE to on-time. - They say they're behind because they take walk-in urgent patients and that gets them behind. I call BS. After being in the waiting-room for many hours waiting for appointments I never once saw somebody 'urgent' come in and take precedence. - They say they're so behind because it's only 2 doctors. I call BS. Doesn't matter how many doctors there are if you schedule your patients professionally. - They say they can't be bothered to let patients know that they're running behind? I call BS. They have two people behind the desk. Here's a basic courtesy tip: if you're going to be more than 15 minutes late to an appointment, let that person know! They also charged my insurance like $300 for a 15 minute consult to get a prescription renewed. Billed as a full visit. My first he insisted on tests that were irrelevant and he got super rude when I questioned whether they were necessary. Should have left right there are filed a complaint. Doctor was rude and dismissive. Clearly only cared about the billed visit. Staff seemed fine. Good thing there's competition in the area.

I went…read moreto see Dr. Pollak and was surprised at his lack of attention to detail and poor medical knowledge. I complained of shoulder pain, and he told me he can't do anything about it without even looking at me or doing a physical exam. He rushed through the appointment, did not ask any of the questions he was supposed to (for instance, he didn't even bother getting a full medical history from me) and was entirely unhelpful. I left the appointment without any answers and had to immediately go back and search for a new doctor. If I learned anything in medical school, it's that this is not the care you deserve from your doctor. I recommend you try another doctor.

The cool thing about her, besides her awesome bedside manner is that she knows her stuff and she's not afraid to give you holistic alternatives in place of popping a pill. Well, we all know there are no accidents, right? While the other physicians I came across with at various One Medical locations didn't do much for me, Dr Fox turned out to be the most caring and compassionate physician I have ever met. Not only does she seem to genuinely care and listen (those qualities are so rare today!), but also follows through every issue I might have. Also, she's never hesitant to discuss more than one issue during a visit if time allows and seems to follow a holistic approach. (Again, this is such a rarity today!) She's always within reach and answers to her emails in a timely maner. If she's away from the office, she's sure to refer me to one of the other physicians at the 14th Street location who also have been wonderful. I am so glad I found her and yes, I renewed my membership for the third year. (As for the office: it's convenient, modern and aesthetically pleasing, but most importantly the appointments ALWAYS start on time. The staff are courteous and very helpful.) Definitely recommend.
