Bigger and busier than the Clinton St. location, Dr Baker was great when we stopped in. Although the waiting room is under construction, they pack 'em in on the weekend with the sick kids. They're also the only location in Hoboken open on Sundays now for Pediatrics, so get in there early if you want to be seen - it gets busy fast and you could wait a while. There's an adult section upstairs, too, so that's efficient if you both need a bit of care for getting sick at the same time as the little ones. Downside - Hoboken parking is a mess. So walk over or Lyft it if you can, otherwise you may need to get parking lots or search for street parking. Pro - associated with the other Riverside Medical Group locations, relatively portable records between the service locations. read more

When searching for a local neurologist, I found this location and attempted to call to make a reservation. In just a few minutes I immediately got a sense of the kind of experience to expect with this office: After waiting on call hold for about 5 minutes, someone picked up the line and immediately hung up! In astonishment, I proceeded to check the online reviews for this office, and low and behold, just about every review was 2 stars or lower with complaints about poor customer service, poor appointment management, and poor experiences with the staff. So, I'm taking this initial experience as a warning and confirmation of these poor reviews and looking for a different provider. Nothing is more precious than your health and your time. Doctors aren't paid pennies. So, if they can't at least get their reception in order to provide patients with good service, then they aren't worth the business! read more

This is my second visit to this office and the last time I waited for over an hour before the doctor appeared, med student in tow. Apparently that's why they're so far behind again today...didn't realize this was a training hospital?!? Either way, Riverside MG as a whole is tragically disjointed, understaffed, and about as poorly run as I'd imagine a viable business can be. I say this from personal experience visiting another location (Hudson st) AND trying to deal with their "central" billing department for a different matter. But wait, there's more! Let's not forgot about the SUPER PACKED waiting room - there was a line out the door and I counted 8 people. A restaurant wouldn't even be able to get away with this so I'm really confused as to how a Physician could ever find this acceptable during the ongoing pandemic. This is the WORST doctors office I have ever Stepped foot in. I have had attitude since the day my son was born at the front desk but kept coming because I did like the dr. I called last Saturday and left a message with no call back. Few days later I call to make an appt for my son as it was an emergency and told me they couldn't help me. I thought I would never have to write a Yelp review, but this company is so bad, I don't know what else to do. I was there on 2/9/21 for a physical and blood work. It's been a month and a half and I can not get anyone to call me back to discuss the results. I waited two weeks and called on 2/22 to get the results. They said the doctor would call me back. I waited another week and called on 3/1. They said they would make it a priority and the doctor would call me back. I waited another 5 days and called on 3/5. They said they would make it a priority and the doctor would call me back. I waited a few more days and called on 3/8. The woman said there was only one notice in the system that I called previously. She was going to email her managers and get back to me. I sent an email on 3/9 to the address on their website. I received an automated response that a support ticket was opened and I would receive a response within 24 hours. It's now roughly 360 hours later and guess what, no response. Now I have to find another doctor and see if they will go over my results with me, which I really doubt they will (or can). I guess I'll start from scratch. read more

Tried to set up an appointment for my fiancé to receive the second dose of the Covid vaccine. Was told since we got her first one at CVS that we "couldn't set up an appointment" at their office for her to receive the second vaccine... Lol, what? Where did she make this up? Is this legit? I had to come back and warn everyone again, the incompetence of this office is mind boggling. I am still trying to get my blood work billing resolved. It's been 2 months. They sent my blood to the wrong lab and I am the one now with the headache of getting this fixed. I was billed $2500 for blood work! I have called every person at Riverside you can think of and each time I get a different response. Today the lady I spoke with told me that it was an error by the phlebotomist and they are not employed by riverside and are a separate entity- in her words "you know like the MAC makeup counter in Macy's" are you kidding me??? So I sit her now on hold with Quest trying to speak with someone for 30 minutes. My next step after this as well is a complaint to the BBB. I filled out all forms online prior to my visit. I had made an appointment at 9am ET, arrived 10 min early. Wasn't seen until 9:45am ET.

1. Call center can easily leave you in call-hold-hangup loops. 2. Few of them could give you false information about the logistics ; referral emails , doctor's availability, ...etc 3. A single occasion where an agent intentionally screw up my whole schedule by falsely telling me that a doctor is not available despite the already-scheduled appointment. 3. For the Local office I used to deal with ; Won't update your mycharts electronic account regularly - Won't email you any referral papers for any telemedicine, you would have to go to the office physically or have them faxed to you after a lengthy conversation, this is the 2020s you know not 1980s ! - If they know you have a problem they could intentionally leave you on hold for +20 mins for you to get bored and hang up or they will do you the favor - the moment I start asking for referral papers when I do not intend to use their radiology then the whole party starts. 4- The only reason I still deal with them is due to some really good doctors in Hoboken office like Dr. Varun and Dr. Faiza . read more

Scheduled an annual physical months in advance. Made an 8:15am appointment so that I don't miss much of the work day. Arrived at 8:08am. They didn't call me in until after 8:40am. The nurse took my blood pressure, temperature, and weight and was done by 8:43am and said "the doctor will be with you shortly". It's almost 9:20am now and I am still waiting!!! I also am supposed to get blood work down as part of the checkup. Why couldn't I have had that done while I sat around doing nothing for over 30 minutes two separate times this morning? At this rate, I'll be here past 10 or 10:30. I have never had an issue with the doctors here, and I can understand waiting an hour of you are a walk in, but i will find another doctor, even if in a less convenient location, to avoid this in the future. HORRIBLE- an office of sales men, not doctors Monday: scheduled an appointment and left work early only to find out that the doctor did not come into work that day, no other doctors were available to see me. Wednesday 1pm appointment: I arrive early, at 1:05pm I asked about the expected time to find out that the doctor is yet to arrive (Dr. Chinia, I forget the exact spelling) and that they double booked the 1:00pm slot. When I saw the doctor he checked me for TWO MINUTES AND RUSHED ME OUT. I had to ask him to perform certain procedures, he refused at first saying this would occur at a follow up appointment (why split up an annual check up into two sessions and wait to see if I have something wrong with me? Maybe to make money from a second visit). Finally the doctor performed the normal procedures after I expressed my anger that I was being rushed out. Next I had to give blood, but no assistants/nurses were there since they all left for lunch, 25 minutes later they come back with Popeyes chicken and don't ask or explain anything so I once again had to pretend I was the doctor to ensure they checked everything I had wanted to be checked for. Great place in town and great staff working here, it's right across from Big fun toys and you have to walk up a flight up steps, by as you walk in your in this huge office with a big staff, sometimes there's a wait if it's busy but most of the time we get in quickly to see the nurse and then the doctor, there is free WiFi and bathrooms available. I am writing this review to say how pleased I am with Dr. Hela Barhoush and Dr. Sima Tiku with the care they have provided to my brother and sister when they got their physical check up at Riverside Medical Group. First off Dr. Barhoush answered every question my mom and I had in regards to the vaccines that were being given to my younger sister. Dr. Barhoush performed the physical and saw us in such a quick and timely manner as well as being super sweet and caring. Dr. Tiku performed a sports physical for my little brother so he can continue to play for his high school football team. Dr. Tiku quickly realized how he has asthma. She put him on a asthma action plan and the front staff provided him with all the paper work needed to submit to his school nurse. OVERALL, my siblings experience at this location was EXCELLENT!!!! I recommend Riverside Medical Group to all future patients looking for excellent care and an amazing experience with their pediatrcians! read more

We have been going here for over 10 years to both the GP and the Pediatrician as well as some of their specialists. At first it was really great but over the years as they have grown and grown everything has gone drastically downhill. It is literally impossible to get a hold of someone on the phone and you usually find that out after being on hold for over a half hour and giving up. Very pleasant staff with a happy attitude that will walk you through all of the steps until the last minute you check out. I've been recommending Riverside Medical Group for years because of the service and quality of care. They are open late and on weekends, and even take walk-ins. (This group is not to be confused with the OB-Gyn group upstairs.) Dr. Brhambhatt is smart, friendly, and a great listener. He takes his time with your visit, and you always feel seen and heard. He does not pretend to know everything, and will refer you to a specialist if necessary. He genuinely cares about your well-being. Prescriptions are sent automatically to the pharmacy, and the staff will follow up relentlessly with your insurance company or the pharmacy if there's ever a problem. Even though you often have to wait a long time to be seen by the doctor (because of walk-ins), the receptionists and nurses are very friendly, and your appointment is always worth the wait. They always have a doctor on call, so if you have a problem at an odd hour, the answering service will have a doctor call you back right away. read more

Update 10 months later. Francine, the phlebotomist still can't get the bill right. Wow. Waited 45 mins for my appt time during a weekday morning. Had plenty of time to chat it up with the other waiting patients, asked about their actual appt times - everyone ended up being called in about 45 mins late. There are no good/current magazines, so bring a book. Dr. Raju herself was fantastic - good bedside manners, knowledgeable, patient, thoroughly explains her answers. I feel comfortable continuing to see Dr. Raju. My visit was for an annual preventive well visit, which includes a general blood panel (included as a part of the preventive office visit and is NOT supposed to be billed separately since it is all PREVENTIVE care). We discussed one additional issue, which prompted Dr. Raju to order an additional blood test (this specific test is now considered DIAGNOSTIC and IS subject to patient cost-share as it is not preventive care). I work in the industry so I specifically remindeded the Phlebotomist (person handling the bloodwork) to bill each blood test to the Lab correctly, under the appropriate code - one for preventive well-visit and the another for the other condition. Of course, I get the invoice from the Lab showing that Riverside has billed ALL bloodwork under the ICD-9 code for the secondary issue that came up. So I am being charged for the PREVENTIVE bloodwork as well (which should be covered by insurance). This is not the insurance carriers fault because they obviously couldn't guess which tests correspond to each diagnostic code. Called the front desk, they have me call billing. Billing is super confused (the girl says she is new and keeps putting me on hold to speak with her supervisor but won't let me just talk to the supervisor after 15 mins). She finally asks me to call back front desk (urghh!) Not falling for that BS so I conference them in. 32 minutes later, they finally tell me that Franceline, the Phlebotomist in the lab, is the only one who can clear this up and correct each lab charge under the CORRECT ICD-9 code. Why on earth they didn't tell me this 30 mins ago is a testament to the incompetency of the office and billing staff. It's really a shame as Dr. Raju is great, but her staff makes even a simple annual well-visit a headache when it comes to billing. Save yourself the troubles and go to another place. This place is absolutely terrible. The doctors are a little above average, but nothing amazing. This place overbooks like crazy, and making appointment is useless. So far this is about our 7th visit. 4 out of the 7 times, they made us wait over 1 hour and 30 minutes. What is the point of making appointment if you cannot keep them? People take time off from work, hence every minute is valuable. These people treat your valuable time like dirt and give 0 consideration. If you cannot honor your appointments, then dont book them so tight. Staff obvious cannot do simple math, and if they can, reasons to take your business somewhere else. Additionally, people who visit this place are all pregnant women. The office called this morning 30 minutes before my scheduled appointment to tell me they mistakingly booked me in pediatrics. I am a 60 year old man and I understand accidents like this happen. Despite it being their fault, they would not make another appointment for me today or even in the same week. The only option was to go to another town which is practically impossable. They were too busy at the local locations. I work 60 hours a week and am a primary caregiver for a sick child. The medical staff has always been adequate in care and above average in concern. No doubt, they take care of you once you can run the gauntlet of actually seeing someone. The waiting room is noisy with slamming doors, shabby, loud and uncomfortable. I don't have a general doc in town so I went to riverside on washington and saw Dr Brahmbhatt (AWFUL) who diagnosed me with strep (even though the strep test was negative??) and gave me antibiotics but it's been 3 days and I feel just as bad if not worse. I called him 4 times yesterday and he couldn't even be bothered to call me back. A nurse called at 6pm to say make sure to drink water........right.......thanks.... I AM DONE WITH RIVERSIDE MEDICAL GROUP ON WASHINGTON STREET!!!!! I have been experiencing stomach virus like symptoms. Yesterday I was given a telehealth appointment for today at 9:15am. I was called at 8:06am by the receptionist who asked if I was willing to do the telehealth appointment right away. I agreed and a gentleman came on the phone to ask standard questions (weight, height, allergies, etc.). I was then put on hold until the receptionist informed me that the doctor was still with a patient and that he/she would call me back. The receptionist called me back at 8:52am informing me that the doctor does not do telehealth appointments. I was given another telehealth appointment for 1:45pm TODAY. I was also offered a telehealth appointment for tomorrow. At 1:55pm I called the office because I had not received a call. I was told by the answering service that the office was running late and that the doctor would call me. At 2:45pm I called the office again because I still had not received a call. I was told by the answering service that the office was closed and that my telehealth appointment is scheduled for Monday. The first sentence of Riverside Medical Group's mission statement reads, "Your health is our priority." Obviously it isn't based on the way they treat their patients. I am hoping the stomach virus like symptoms I have been experiencing aren't COVID-19 related. This is not my first bad experience with Riverside Medical Group. I have experienced the following: * Rude and dismissive receptionist when trying to make an appointment. * Rude female office manager when complaining about the receptionist. * Waiting for receptionist to get off their personal phone. * Waiting for receptionists to finish conversation amongst themselves. * Receptionists not wearing masks. * Getting the run around about monthly prescription. This happens every single month! My pharmacy has also gotten the run around when calling on my behalf. I have had to show up there to sort things out. * Not letting me know about mandatory follow up appointments. * Miscommunication between answering service and office staff. This place is an absolute fucking joke. Unfortunately my boyfriend has to go here for his medical needs, but never once have they actually helped him. Once they told him he had the flu when he had the common cold. He ended up with a hefty bill to pay for a false diagnosis. He went in recently for anxiety problems and they straight up accused him of coming in for Xanax, which he specifically said he did not want because they are highly addictive and he's had bad reactions to them in the past. They then refused to help him any further, though they did offer to call the police on him. Who fucking does that? Another time he had bronchitis and needed prescription cough syrup, but they denied he had any problem, said he just had a normal cough and sent him away. Had to go to a different, more expensive doctor not in his network who not only helped him and gave him proper medication, but advised he never visit these crooks again. However, this place freely supplies other patients with Xanax and promethazine codeine who don't actually have problems and only want them to sell on the streets. I would know because a particular guy in town goes to this place regularly to get these drugs so he can sell them and then brags about how easy it is to scam this place. Thank you Riverside for helping the drug dealers but not people who genuinely need your help. These people should have their medical licenses revoked. read more

Positive staff! I genuinely appreciate the energy there. The facility is super clean. Setting appointments is not only easy but they stay true to it. I once waited 3 minutes and 23 seconds. MAX.
