We ordered equipment from Matt Cantele Tent Rentals as a suggestion from the venue. The equipment received was a joke (missing parts, delivered on the clear other side of the venue, wouldn't turn on with the generator provided, wasn't at all what we expected in regard to a freezer, etc.) When we called to discuss, my assigned contact, Rob, was quick to offer a $100 refund in form of a check... that was on August 8th. The check has still not been received, it's November 12th. I followed up on August 13th that it hadn't arrived, no response. I followed up again on August 20th that it hadn't arrived, no response. I finally posted an initial review about the experience. A couple days after posting the original review, Rob emailed me and said "Thanks for the nasty review!!" on August 23rd. I explained that he was not keeping a dialogue and blocking my calls/not returning my emails was unprofessional & an inappropriate response to the issue. I needed to share the experience so others knew what to expect. On August 23rd, he confirmed a check was sent. I followed up on August 29th that it still hadn't arrived, no response. On August 30th, he called my bluff that the check hadn't arrived by saying "Check number 0574, must arrive any day!" On September 7th, he assured me again that it was on its way, "please call my cell phone 845 475 5114. I can send a photo of our check book showing it was sent out. We have not received anything on our end in regards to it being sent back" I followed up on September 14th that it still hadn't arrived, no response. On September 26th, he claimed the check was returned. (If anyone knows NYC, it wouldn't take a full month for a local returned check, and he also confirmed where he sent it - which is a business that operates 7 days a week)... he said "Hey the check got returned in the mail today!!" I followed up again on October 8th that it still hadn't arrived, no response. I followed up again on October 11th that it still hadn't arrived, no response. Sad to say, but no wonder their equipment is in such poor condition. They must not have enough revenue to afford a $100 refund, let alone equipment replacement. Bad business! Time to let BBB know... hopefully that will return a full refund of equipment that wasn't used. We were being cordial by accepting a partial refund... but this is a joke. PS: The original owners still exist at Cantele Tent Rentals. They seemed like they knew how to run a business when I called to track down "Matt" Cantele and Rob... just a tip! read more

Great service clean tents and the chairs look brand new every time I rent them !! They have even been able to put up a tent last minute for me they work very late and are super accommodating! Thanks read more

I honestly cannot say enough good things about this company. One phone call to Joey at Matt Cantele Tent Rentals, and you will NEVER call Durants or anyone else again! When planning my wedding, after getting my quote elsewhere, some friends and a local BNI meeting recommended Cantele. It was the best decision I made! If it weren't for their flexibility and understanding, I may not have been able to afford my wedding. Rentals can be insanely (and unrealistically) expensive. You can tell immediately that they are not about mark ups just to make an extra buck; instead, they are down to earth and family owned and realize that everyone deserves the wedding of their dreams. My wedding is this weekend and I hope I get to meet Joey in person to thank him myself for all his help - you guys are a rare type of business!! read more
