I had an annuity with this company from 2005 to the present. I began making withdrawals after…read moreretirement with good results until I requested the final withdrawal. The customer service reps were pollte, as always. When I received the request for signature, my checking account number was wrong. I spoke with four reps who insisted that the account number was the same as previous withdrawals. I finally signed a document with the correct number and it was still forwarded to my bank with the wrong number. I contacted my bank who changed the account number and deposited it. I called Thrivent who informed me that if the transfer was rejected, which it would have been, it would be 8 to 9 days to resend it. I alledge that this company deliberately tried to squeeze out a few more days. Tell me I am wrong about my conclusions. I'm obviously done with them.

Thrivent is too hard to work with. I opened an account on-line and it took over a month to receive…read morea debit card in the mail. They are always pleasant on the phone but never seem to know how to help or get the answers to help you. I attempted to close the account due to not being able to easily make deposit at a Co-op affiliated ATM which Thrivent claims to be part of and was told that if I were to close my account there would be a fee. A fee for what? Not being able to deposit money in my account. To hell with this shady assed company. Save your frustrations and find a local credit union that has a branch in your town.
